A Critical Problem for the Finite Mind,
it does not know what it does not know.

Ignorance is not strategically applied.

I have taken my stand in the midst of the world. I find the majority of humanity dazed, confused, and deluded—like sheep led to slaughter.

I find few people impassioned and serious in the pursuit of truth, knowledge, logic, and wisdom. My soul aches for humanity en masse, because they are blind, deaf, and dumb in their hearts; they do not see, hear, or speak the truth.

As human primates, we seem to be nothing more than conceptual apes that have gone mad. As a species, we have done more to wreck this planet than any other living entity or cataclysm or destructive event in earth's long history. We need to end this rampant, rabid cycle of destroying the earth as a living system.

Our elected officials are stymied and deterred; unscrupulous irrational affluent hedonistic throngs that relish for eminence and power. It is the blind leading the blind in grand mockery. These megalomaniacs implement irrational and illogical maladaptive choices, nurturing the lethal interests of their cohorts--at the expense of our planet and its inhabitants. The greed and callous disregard for life, truth, and justice are irremissible.

The earth is sacred. The natural world, plants, animals, living systems, soil, water, and atmosphere are sacred--life giving and life sustaining. We must never take for granted or desecrate this source of our life. Instill a sense of wonder, beauty, and respect in these things, in being alive, in being a part of Gods’ creation.

In the soft malleable core of the finite mind, and its current hideously deluded mainstream belief systems, these proliferated insanities successfully hone a specific reasoning, detrimentally false and inhibiting to the extent of observable irreversibility. This metabolic transformation manifests itself as pathological all-pervasive narcissism and delusions of grandeur: I, me, and mine--over the future of the planet and its inhabitants.

But then again, truth be told, if we are looking for the guilty, we need only look in the mirror. God help us!

Synergism

What Are We Up Against?

Today we observe not a victory for the human race, but an unprecedented challenge for future generations—symbolizing an end, as well as a beginning—signifying the ever-present need for Christian ethics, as well as change.

The world is very different now, for humanity has lost the mortal power to contain disease, poverty, and environmental repercussions.

Humans are stripping planet earth at an unprecedented rate. For more than twenty years, we have been exceeding the Earth’s ability to continue to support our consumer lifestyle. We are turning resources into waste faster than nature can turn waste back into resources. Humanity’s ecological footprint — the demand people place on the natural world — is currently 25 percent greater than the planet’s annual ability to provide everything that mankind uses and in turn to recycle all human waste.

Both governments and businesses are exploiting ocean resources without considering the consequences. If our current indiscriminate harvesting techniques continue, by 2050 most food fish species face 90% depletion. In the last 100 years, 29% of edible fish and seafood species have declined by 90%. At this rate, by the year 2050, the inhabitants of earth will experience the devastating effects of mass pollution and a shortage of many resources.

Our global health report card underscores the need for healthier food and eating. The World Health Organization predicts over 350 million cases of diabetes by 2030 and reports that last year 11 million people were diagnosed with cancer, which resulted in seven million deaths.

Here in the U.S., 31 percent of adults are obese, 34 percent are overweight and just 34 percent are at a healthy weight. Twenty-three percent of American parents report having an overweight child.

Our plants cannot manufacture minerals, our soils never had all 84 major, trace, and ultra-trace minerals in them, and soils that were enriched with minerals are now depleted and imbalanced from intensive farming, irresponsible agricultural practices, and pollution. According to a U.S. Senate study, 99 percent of Americans are deficient in minerals and trace elements. Trace mineral deficient animals will eat a lot until their needs are met. After that, they consume very little.

Millions of years ago, the soil was saturated with dozens of minerals. At least 84 minerals were available nearly everywhere and some areas of the planet contained up to 100 minerals.
Just a few decades ago, we had 35 percent environmental oxygen in the atmosphere to breathe—oxygen in our atmosphere has diminished to as little as 12-13% in some large cities—an average of 19 to 21% by volume overall. Almost all of the air, water, and food sources were naturally uncontaminated. Nutritionally speaking, the human body requires ample amounts of pristine water, pure oxygen, and wholesome foods for optimal health.

Even if our produce did contain abundant minerals, less than 4% of the population eats sufficient fruits and vegetables to account for minimal RDAs. To compound matters further, mass amounts of processed food, excess protein, and refined sugars require most of our mineral and enzyme stores in order to digest and remove them. The removal process involves enzymes, which break things down. Enzyme activity is completely dependent on minerals like zinc, copper, chromium, selenium, cobalt and many others. If we are low on minerals, we have impaired enzyme actions. Minerals also control our bodies’ ability to absorb and use vitamins.

I took the child upon my knee, saying here is a storybook I have written for thee. Come, wander with me, and see what humanity has done:

They poisoned the sweet water and cut down the trees; the food they mass-market and feed our children is the cause of their disease. The ocean is slowly dying and the air is not good to breathe. They filled the media with propaganda; they deceived and brainwashed our youth.

I am now a Christian outcast in the land where I was born. I am a fugitive from injustice, but I am going to be to be free.

I believe in freedom and Christianity, but I do not believe in their wars. And most of what I do believe is ridiculed by their laws. The greed, ignorance, and injustices are revolting as I watch the world being destroyed.

True Christians longing for God’s will to be done on earth must match the urge for hegemony and preponderance by these deluded souls with greater intensity. My fellow citizens, ask not what God will do for us, but what together we can do to build the Kingdom of God.

A small number of people make good things happen; there are scores of people who stand by and watch things happen, and then we have the masses who say, “What happened?”

Into regions yet untrod: and read what is still unread.

The Price of Burning of Fossil Fuel

Air pollution is the contamination of air by the discharge of harmful substances. Air pollution can cause health problems including burning eyes and nose, itchy irritated throat, and breathing problems. Some chemicals found in polluted air can cause cancer, birth defects, brain and nerve damage, and long-term injury to the lungs and breathing passages in certain circumstances. Above certain concentrations and durations, certain air pollutants are extremely dangerous and can cause severe injury or death. Air pollution can damage plants, animals, and the ecosystems in which they live.

Most air pollution comes from one human activity: burning fossil fuels—natural gas, coal, and oil—to power industrial processes and motor vehicles. Among the harmful chemical compounds this burning puts into the atmosphere are ozone, carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide, nitrogen oxides, sulfur dioxide, mercury, barium, chlorofluorocarbons, Volatile Organic Compounds, and tiny solid particles—including lead from gasoline additives—called particulates. Burning coal also generates large amounts of fly ash and bottom ash.

Carbon monoxide is an odorless, poisonous gas. It is created when gasoline does not completely burn. 60 million metric tons of carbon monoxide is put into the air each year in the United States. Carbon monoxide can harm cells that obtain oxygen through hemoglobin in blood pigment, as hemoglobin prefers to uptake carbon monoxide over oxygen.

Aviation fuels tend to be more volatile than gasoline. The potential damage to human health from toxic emissions from airports is severe. However, conveniently (for our elected officials), research into the impact of pollution from aviation on human health is limited.

In terms of toxic emissions, airports are comparable to chemical factories, oil refineries, and power stations, which are the three top emitters of nitrogen oxides and VOCs. Aviation’s emissions are growing faster than any other sector and risk undermining progress achieved through emission cuts in other areas.

Aircraft emissions vary with the engine type, the engine load, and the fuel. Among jet aircraft there are differences between civil and military jet engines and their fuels. Combustion of jet fuel results in carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide, methane, hydrocarbons, nitrogen oxides, metals, formaldehyde, aldehydes, aluminum, barium, calcium, cadmium, vanadium, copper, iron, lead, potassium, manganese, magnesium, sodium, zinc, and scores of other volatile organic and inorganic compounds.

It is not easy to obtain data on the toxic emissions produced by airports. However, in August 2000, a study detected 219 volatile compounds in the air around Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport. Seventy-eight of these chemicals were at increased levels.

One aircraft take-off can burn thousands of pounds of fuel. Some jumbo jets can carry over 80,000 U.S. gallons of aviation fuel. Aircraft have to be below a certain weight to land. This amount is normally substantially less than that with which it can take off. Fuel carried on the plane can weigh up to 150 tons on some large aircraft. If the plane is still carrying a large amount of fuel at the end of its flight, it is likely that it will have to jettison (dump) some of it in order to land safely. Long-term (chronic) hazards from the jettisoning of aviation fuel include contamination of groundwater, soil, produce, animals, and humans. Aviation fuel is phototoxic; it also contains benzene and toluene, which are known to be carcinogenic.

25 APR 2007 | A bill to set national safety standards for toxic rocket fuel perchlorate, found in drinking water supplies in more than 20 states, is moving in Congress. However, perchlorate is currently an unregulated contaminant. Officials found the rocket fuel ingredient perchlorate at up to 1,300 parts per million in the fall--roughly 166 times higher than acceptable limits. Perchlorate is a toxic chemical from military–industrial activities and the use of Chilean nitrate fertilizer.

Production and use estimates of perchlorate are hard to come by: the military considers the numbers secret, and fertilizer producers will not share them, saying they are proprietary information.

Perchlorate can affect thyroid function--because perchlorate is an ion that inhibits the transport of iodide into the thyroid. Scientists have found that a significant number of people are at risk of thyroid hormone depression from perchlorate exposure. Extensive data indicate that thyroid-pituitary disruption is the sole mode of action for the observed thyroid tumors caused by perchlorate in rodents.

A series of critical new studies by scientists at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention show that the EPA's proposed safe exposure level for the contaminant “perchlorate” is not protective of public health. To add insult to injury, the California Environmental Protection Agency recently raised the limit on the amount of perchlorate allowed in drinking water by 50%. Currently there are no enforceable perchlorate safety standards, but Environmental Working Group (EWG) argues that a national safety standard should be no higher than one-tenth the EPA’s currently recommended level.

Preliminary data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention show that the amount of perchlorate in urine is too high to be from drinking water alone. Studies have found perchlorate in rainwater and common foods produced in the U.S., such as dairy products and produce. Perchlorate is also found in produce worldwide.

In the first-ever tests of perchlorate in off-the-shelf supermarket produce, EWG found contamination averaging 4 times more than what the EPA says is safe in drinking water. The chemical has also been found in prenatal vitamins and seaweed. Perchlorate can remain in food even after it is cooked.

Blast from the past: billions of kilograms of Chilean nitrate fertilizer contaminated with perchlorate left a lasting impression. Between 1909 and 1929, the U.S. imported an estimated 19 million tons of Chilean nitrate. The United States still uses 75000 short tons of Chilean nitrate annually.

Overall, fresh fruits and vegetables from California and Central and South America had the highest levels of perchlorate. Just one serving of some fruits can contain enough perchlorate to exceed the National Academy of Sciences safe daily dose by 25%, and wines and beers pack a bigger perchlorate punch than waters, according to a new study that measures perchlorate concentrations in fruits, wines, and beers from around the world. The food contribution to daily perchlorate exposure looks to be a horrendous disaster attributed to intensive farming, irresponsible agricultural practices, and military–industrial activities.

Perchlorate's interference with iodide uptake by the thyroid gland can decrease production of thyroid hormones, which are needed for prenatal and postnatal growth and development, as well as for normal metabolism and mental function in the adult.

Perchlorate is present in virtually all milk samples; the average concentration in breast milk is five times higher than in dairy milk. Studies testify that high levels of perchlorate in breast milk put the nation's infants at risk for developmental problems. Thyroid hormones are critical for development of the fetal and neonatal brain, as well as for many other aspects of fetal growth. The high levels of perchlorate in breast milk are cause for serious concern and should lead to immediate government action to protect the public health.

Fossil fuel combustion also contains naturally occurring radioactive materials, mainly uranium and thorium that are released into the atmosphere. In 2000, about 12,000 metric tons of thorium and 5,000 metric tons of uranium were released worldwide from burning coal. It is estimated that during 1982, US coal burning released 155 times as much radioactivity into the atmosphere as the Three Mile Island incident. The latest "BIER" study (BIER VII) agrees that there is no safe dose, no threshold, below which radiation is not harmful and cannot cause cancer, leukemia, heart problems, birth defects, and literally hundreds of other ailments.
As might be expected, there is some overlap between the toxic effects of rocket fuel, aviation fuel, chemical factories, oil refineries, power stations, transportation, intensive farming, irresponsible agricultural practices, and other human generated pollution.

Some air pollutants return to Earth in the form of acid deposition. Acid deposition directly and indirectly affects our health. Acid deposition is a general term that includes more than simply acid rain. Acid deposition primarily results from the transformation of sulphur dioxide and nitrogen oxides into dry or moist secondary pollutants such as sulphuric acid, ammonium nitrate, and nitric acid. The transformation of sulphur dioxide and NOx to acidic particles and vapors occurs as these pollutants are transported in the atmosphere over distances of hundreds to thousands of kilometers. Acidic particles and vapors are deposited via two processes - wet and dry deposition.

Wet deposition is acid rain, the process by which acids are removed from the atmosphere in rain, snow, sleet, or hail. Dry deposition takes place when particles such as fly ash, sulphates, nitrates, and gases (such as sulphur dioxide and NOx), are deposited on, or absorbed onto, surfaces. The gases can then be converted into acids when they contact water. Acid rain also contains abnormally high levels of carbonic acid due to elevated levels of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere from burning fossil fuel.

Ground-level ozone pollution, also known as smog, is eating away at agriculture all over the world. Worse yet, new research reveals the damage to crops is not always visible. Smog interferes with a plant's ability to produce and store food, so that growth, reproduction, and overall health are compromised. Plants exposed to ozone are more susceptible to disease, pests, and environmental stresses.

Burning Fossil Fuel Changed the pH of the Oceans:

REV 8:8-9: Then the second angel sounded: And something like a great mountain burning with fire was thrown into the sea, and a third of the sea became blood and a third of the living creatures in the sea died, and a third of the ships were destroyed.

The great mountain burning with fire is the metaphor for the burning of fossil fuel, which creates toxic smoke that does great damage to the oceans. In its primary devastation it will kill off enough marine life to dramatically reduce the amount marine harvesting by about one third.

Since the start of the Industrial Revolution scientists estimate that nearly 500 billion tons of carbon dioxide have been absorbed by the oceans. That is more than a fourth of all the CO2 that humanity has emitted into the atmosphere. Eventually, 80% of all human-generated carbon dioxide is expected to find its way into the sea.

Scientists have conducted ocean acidification experiments in recent years; all have shown that acid rain slows coral growth rate and it dissolves the shells of marine snails. Even slightly acidified seawater is toxic to the eggs and larvae of some fish species. In others, including amberjack and halibut, it can cause heart attacks. Acidified waters also tend to asphyxiate animals that require a lot of oxygen, such as fast-swimming squid.

At the current rate of increase, ocean acidity is expected, by the end of this century, to be 2 1/2 times what it was before the Industrial Revolution began 200 years ago. Such a change would devastate many species of fish and other animals that have thrived in chemically stable seawater for millions of years.

Rev: 16:3: Then the second angel poured out his bowl on the sea, and it became blood as of a dead man; and every living creature in the sea died.

Burning Fossil Fuel Changed the pH of Rivers and Lakes:

REV 8:10-11: And the third angel sounded, and there fell a great star from heaven, burning as it were an oil lamp, and it fell upon the third part of the rivers, and upon the fountains of waters. And the name of the star is called wormwood: and the third part of the waters became wormwood; and many men died of the waters, because they were made bitter.

The star wormwood falling from the sky is the metaphor for the burning of fossil fuel, which creates acid rain. Literally wormwood is referring to wood that is being decomposed by shipworms; figuratively wormwood is depicting a decomposing agent, in this case it is acid rain. Moreover, many health complications will result from people consuming bitter acid water.

Acid rain causes a cascade of effects that harm or kill individual fish, reduce fish population numbers, completely eliminate fish species from a body of water, and decrease biodiversity. Damages also show up in land animals, affecting their behavior and feeding patterns. Acid rain kills trees, crops, and other vegetation; damages buildings and monuments; corrodes copper, galvanized steel, and lead piping; damages such manufactured things as automobiles; and reduces soil fertility. Acid rain can raise the level of heavy metals, many of which are toxic, carcinogenic, and mutagenic in drinking water supplies.

Pure acid water extracted from drinking water will burn holes in the outer membranes of microbes like parasites, bacteria, viruses, and microscopic worms. Pure acid water will destroy or kill parasites and their eggs, bacteria, germs, and viruses. Pure acid water has a strong oxidation potential (a shortage of electrons) giving it the ability to oxidize and sterilize. When extracted from drinking water about one third of the water is acid water (and the third part of the waters became wormwood). Think of the effects it has on the human body.

Burning Fossil Fuel Contaminated Every Living Organism with Toxins.

Acid rain raises the level of heavy metals, some of which are poisonous, in drinking water supplies. Polluted acidic waters contain higher than average levels of heavy and toxic metals, carbon monoxide, photochemical oxidants, and a laundry list of other toxins that pose serious health threats.

Some toxins enter the human body through air, water, and/or through our skin. Other poisonous metals and toxins that are dissolved into the rainwater are absorbed by the fruit, vegetables we eat. All of the meat we eat is saturated with toxins that were absorbed through the skin and into the tissue of the animals. In addition, animals eat these plants and other animals, perpetuating the cycle. Many heavy metals are bioaccumulative and toxic. They can accumulate in the soft tissues when the body cannot metabolize them.

Acid rain contains caustic acids that tend to make the pH of the human body more acidic. Drinking acidic water can cause many serious diseases. All of the water we drink (including bottled, purified, reverse osmosis, and distilled waters) contain these acids. It can be difficult to balance the pH of people consuming water loaded with these acids.

Breathing acid fogs (including hot shower or bath water) can damage our respiratory system. Some of these acids are powerful dehydrating agents, so powerful that much of the damage they do to the human body is because they pull water even out of other molecules in chemical reactions.

Global Warming

Rev 16: 8-9: Then the fourth angel poured out his bowl on the sun, and power was given to him to scorch men with fire. And men were scorched with great heat, and they blasphemed the name of God who has power over these plagues; and they did not repent and give Him glory.

Pollution is changing Earth’s atmosphere so that it lets in more harmful radiation from the Sun. At the same time, our polluted atmosphere is becoming a dangerous insulator, preventing heat from escaping back into space and leading to a rise in global average temperatures. Scientists predict that the temperature increase, referred to as global warming, will affect world food supply, alter sea level, make weather more extreme, and increase the spread of tropical diseases.

Chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs) and other ozone-destroying chemicals are depleting the Earth’s protective ozone layer. This has already resulted in increased cancer-causing ultraviolet radiation reaching the Earth's surface, causing changes in plankton populations—the basis of the ocean's food chain.

The U.S. emits about half of the world's car-caused greenhouse carbon dioxide emissions and approximately 25% of all greenhouse gases worldwide. Our fossil-fuel-dependent life-style releases huge quantities of carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide, sulphur dioxide, and nitrous oxide into the atmosphere.

Livestock is responsible for 18 percent of greenhouse-gas emissions as measured in carbon dioxide equivalent, reports the FAO. This includes 9 percent of all CO2 emissions, 37 percent of methane, and 65 percent of nitrous oxide.

These and other gasses tend to trap the Earth's heat and prevent it from being radiated back into space. This contributes to a gradual destabilization of the earth's climate - the warming trend known as the “greenhouse effect.” The ecosystems of our planet have surely been under unprecedented stress by these processes.

A new $1.1 billion MidAmerican facility in Iowa will be one of the nation's biggest, with 790 megawatts of capacity. Its boilers and pulverizers will devour 400 tons of coal every hour, 3.5 million tons a year. Combined with an existing plant next door, it will require a fresh train of coal every 16 to 17 hours; each train will be nearly 1.5 miles long and lug 135 cars about 650 miles from Wyoming's Powder River Basin.

The coal rush in America's heartland is on a collision course with Congress. While lawmakers are drawing up ways to cap and reduce emissions of greenhouse gases, the Energy Department says as many as 150 new coal-fired plants could be built by 2030, adding volumes to the nation's emissions of carbon dioxide and toxic wastes that are affecting every living thing on the planet.
China now burns over 2 billion tons per year, nearly twice the level of the U.S. Nonetheless, total Chinese energy use is currently one-third less than in the U.S. because of greater U.S. dependence on oil, gas, and nuclear.

By 2012, the new coal plants in the United States, China, and India will send 2.7 billion tons of carbon dioxide into our atmosphere annually; God only knows how many heavy metals, toxins, and poisons enter our water and food supply each year.

Moreover, our current dependence on fossil fuels (especially coal) is creating unacceptable environmental damage, including climate change that will bring great hardship to most human and non-human life.

Fragile ecological systems cannot adapt quickly enough to survive expected climate changes. Damage to the crop-producing capacity of many agricultural areas will lead to widespread hunger.

Animal and plant species have begun dying off or changing sooner than predicted because of global warming. While it is impossible to prove conclusively exactly what will happen as the result of global warming, there is strong evidence and other supportable data that confirms that the earth will be very different and frightening in fifty years. We are staring a major crisis in the face.

Besides disrupting normal climate zones, continued temperature rises will increase threats to human health. Global warming will begin dramatic climate changes that will result in melt-backs of polar ice and cause the sea level to rise; it will increase the frequency and severity of major storms, floods, and droughts; it will facilitate and increase the spread of disease.

Research shows that even a seemingly small rise in temperatures can produce a 10-fold increase in the mosquito population. Malaria epidemics have occurred in highland areas where cooler weather historically has kept down populations of disease-bearing mosquitoes. Climate affects some of the most important diseases afflicting the world.

Defense Department study last year predicted that abrupt climate changes are likely to occur within a decade. They will lead to catastrophic shortages of water and energy, endemic disruption and conflict warfare that would define human life and cause a significant drop in the planet's ability to sustain its present population.

Global Dimming

Rev 8:12: Then the fourth angel sounded: And a third of the sun was struck, a third of the moon, and a third of the stars, so that a third of them were darkened; and a third of the day did not shine, and likewise the night.
Sulfate, nitrate, and other pollutants in the atmosphere also reduce visibility. Around the world, the amount of sunlight reaching the earth has dropped since the 1950s. Different locations in the Northern Hemisphere were reported to have recorded different reductions ranging from 10% to 30%.
Global dimming has, apparently been lessening the effects of global warming. Therefore, the global warming problem is more serious than it appears.
The scary thing is that our attempts to clean up the microscopic particles that we emit in burning fossil fuels (for health reasons) could drastically cut down the global dimming effect, allowing global warming to race off. Some estimates suggest that the point of no return is only 25 years away.
Rev. 16:17: The seventh angel poured his bowl into the air, and a loud voice came out of the temple, from the throne, saying, "It is done!”

Understanding pH of the Human Body

Our bodies are alkaline by design and acid by function. Maintaining a balanced pH is essential for life, health, and vitality. Many leading biochemists and medical physiologists have recognized pH or acid/alkaline balance as the most important aspect of a balanced and healthy body. They have long known that the maintenance of a balanced alkaline pH is critical to cellular health.

We live and die at the cellular level. In order to understand pH balance, it is necessary to realize that all the 75 trillion cells of the human body are slightly acidic and must exist in a slightly alkaline environment (the body fluid) if they are to remain healthy and produce energy.

In contemporary Western society, diet/lifestyle-induced metabolic acidosis is more the rule than the exception. Normal adult humans eating Western diets have chronic, low-grade metabolic acidosis, the severity of which is compounded in part by the consumption of acid rain.

The body is capable of prodigious amounts of adaptation and can operate for a long time with a pH imbalance, but eventually those dues have to be paid.

Most North Americans have degenerating bone structures. Our bone health crisis worsens each year, despite intensive public health and disease treatment efforts. Osteoporosis can be seen as a consequence of chronic metabolic acidosis, which robs us of our mineral reserves and impairs efforts to rebuild the bone matrix.

There are three kinds of acid imbalance where there is too much acid and not enough alkali in the body: overproduction, consumption, and mineral aberrations. It is interesting that in one kind of acid imbalance, both the urine and saliva are alkaline! This often results in poor digestion and assimilation, joint and muscle pain, shortness of breath, rapid heart beat, allergies, fatigue, fluid retention, and poor function of various glands and organs.

The major recognized sources of net acid load in the body are:

• Diet
o Protein consumption above 60g/day
o Dietary phosphate/phosphoric acid
o Dietary sulfate
o Long-chain fatty acids in excess of 15%-20% of total dietary calories
o Mineral Aberrations
o Consuming acid rain

• Distress (excess cortisol and adrenaline)

• Delayed immune system reactions (from delayed immune sensitivities/reactions)

One problem with tending toward acidosis is that the body will maintain blood pH in a narrow range at all costs. When it tends acid, minerals are removed from the bones or organs to bring the pH up, and this can cause mineral deficiencies, which can affect cellular respiration and nutrition, immune function, and contribute to mineral deposit formation.

Initially, chronic metabolic acidosis leads to depletion of the minerals reserves of sodium and potassium. In the early phase of fully compensated metabolic acidosis, protons exchange with sodium and potassium, providing a first line of emergency of buffering defense. The second line of emergency defense leads to the depletion of the mineral reserves of calcium and magnesium.

The third line of emergency defense involves significant changes in the bone content of carbonate, sodium, and potassium, but not calcium and magnesium. The fourth line of emergency of buffering defense is when calcium and magnesium cations, along with carbonate from the bones become the major source of buffers.

This means that when we see accelerated calcium and magnesium loss from the bones, there has been a prolonged period of chronic metabolic acidosis and depletion of critical mineral reserves.
Clearly, soft drinks are a hazard to the health of any individual (intelligent or otherwise) who chooses to consume them. Some of the health effects now being attributed to soft drinks include loss of bone density, blood acidosis, kidney stress, immune system suppression, ADHD, and even dramatic mood swings. Soft drinks have long been suspected of leading to lower calcium levels and higher phosphate levels in the blood.

Diet soft drinks are even worse. One liter of an aspartame-sweetened beverage can produce about fifty-six milligrams of methanol. When several of these beverages are consumed in a short period of time (one day, perhaps), as much as two hundred fifty milligrams of methanol are dumped into the bloodstream, or thirty-two times the EPA limit.

The carbonation in soft drinks is a waste product, which the body rejects in the form of a burp. This is a double whammy. Not only do you consume a toxic residue when drinking them, these drinks are tilled with caramel coloring, phosphoric acid, high-fructose corn syrup, and many contain nine to twelve teaspoons of sugar, which creates more of an acid environment. It is only common sense that no one should consume large quantities of soft drinks.

pHs of some common beverages:
• A popular brand of cola — 2.5. (It takes approximately 32 glasses of alkaline water to neutralize one can of cola.)
• Diet soft drinks —3.2
• Popular brand beer — 4.7 pH.
• Pure water —7.0 pH
• Fresh vegetable juice (greens) — 8.9 pH.
Understanding pH and why many people have disease.

Being too acidic creates a condition favorable to the growth of bacteria, yeast, and other unwanted organisms. Scientists have found over 150 degenerative diseases linked to low acidic pH levels--including cancer, diabetes, arthritis, heart disease, gall and kidney stones, and many more.

Two factors that are always present with cancer no matter what else may be present are acid pH and a lack of oxygen. Cancer could very well be our bodies trying to survive the conditions to which we have allowed them to deteriorate. Perhaps a better way of putting this is that cancer is the result of your cells trying to survive a condition that you will not.

An older person with an acid imbalance will generally have a resting respiratory rate of 19 or more and if they take a deep breath will only be able to hold it for 40 seconds or less, because carbon dioxide is used by the body to regulate pH. If the body is highly acidic, the brain tells the body to breathe faster to get rid of the acidic carbon dioxide.

When our pH is off, microbes in the blood can change shape, mutate, and become pathogenic; enzymes that are constructive can become destructive; oxygen delivery to cells suffers; organs of the body can become compromised, like your brain, or your heart; mineral assimilation can be thrown off.

Now, it is important to note that acid means lack of oxygen and that bacteria and germs and fungus all survive without oxygen. When we are acidic for extended periods, we lose some of our oxygen supply and some of our negative charge, and then our bodies’ clean-up crews must go to work.

Candida is part of the cleanup crew. As this yeast turns into a fungus, it spreads its thin mycelia throughout our bodies attacking other organs. The clean-up crew produces wastes called mycotoxins. One of the wastes is uric acid, another is alcohol, and yet another is aflatoxin, one of the most potent carcinogens known.

When our system is highly acidic for extended periods, the clean-up crew will kick in; then we start to get diseased tissues. Once we have diseased tissues, outside germs can find a favorable environment in which to grow. They produce the secondary illnesses we, in this modern culture, call illness or disease. As amazing as it can seem, germs are attracted to the diseased tissues, they are not the primary cause of it.

The symptoms of the first stage of acidosis are so common that most people simply take a painkiller or some over-the-counter medication to mask the symptoms. These symptoms include headaches, food allergies, bloating, acne, panic attacks, lack of energy, lack of sex drive, cold hands and feet, agitation, difficulty sleeping, sinus headaches, and an increased susceptibility to colds, flu, and whatever is going around.

The symptoms in phase two might bring you to a doctor, but still, some just self-medicate: cold sores, hives, depression, migraines, asthma, urinary tract infections, fungal infections, yeast infections, swelling, colitis, tingling, excessive falling hair, osteoarthritis, and atherosclerosis.

The final stages of acidosis are chronic, debilitating diseases: Crohn's disease, multiple sclerosis, leukemia, cancers, Hodgkin's disease, lupus, schizophrenia, rheumatoid arthritis, and tuberculosis just to name a few.

As an acidic body ages, the muscle walls of the blood vessels abnormally thicken. When the body is in an acid state, cholesterol plaque buildup and heart disease will surely follow. In addition, collagen fibers in the artery walls experience cross-linking, which stiffens the walls of the blood vessels.

Mild acidosis can cause such problems as:

• Cardiovascular damage, including the constriction of blood vessels, clogged arteries, weakened veins, and the reduction of oxygen
• All forms of cancer
• Unwanted weight/fat gain, obesity, insulin disorders, and diabetes
• Liver, bladder and kidney conditions, including kidney and gallstones
• Weakened immune system, increased stress, higher blood pressure
• Neurological diseases: MS, ALS, Parkinson's, Alzheimer's
• Acceleration of free radical damage, possibly contributing to cancerous mutations
• Premature aging, frequent headaches, sinusitis, constipation, hemorrhoids
• Osteoporosis, weak, brittle bones, hip fractures, bone spurs and calcium deposits
• Osteoarthritis, joint pain, aching muscles and lactic acid buildup
• Hormonal imbalances, prostate problems and adult acne
• Low energy and chronic fatigue, Fibromyalgia, acid indigestion and flatulence
One of the first steps in maintaining health is to pH balance the body; this is an important aspect of homeostasis—changes in pH alter virtually all body functions.

The more acidic the cells, the sicker we become. If the body cannot alkalize the cells, they will become too acidic and thus disease sets in. Our bodies produce acid as a by-product of normal metabolism. Since our bodies do not manufacture alkalinity, we must supply the alkalinity from an outside source to keep us from becoming acidic and dying.

Most pH experts agree that our urinary pH should fluctuate between 6.5 and 6.8, and that our salivary pH should fluctuate and always be above 7.2. When urinary pH is 6.5 and below for extended periods, it is an indication that the body’s fluids elsewhere are too acid and it is working overtime to rid itself of an acid medium. The pH of urinary indicates the efforts of the body via the kidneys, adrenals, lungs, and gonads to regulate pH through the buffer salts and hormones. Urine does not always provide an accurate picture of body chemistry. Urinary pH can vary from around 4.5 to 9.0 for its extremes.

There are five alkaline-forming minerals, also known as acid-binding minerals. These minerals are calcium, potassium, sodium, magnesium, and iron. Each of these is important for creating a healthy alkaline environment. These minerals bind with acid minerals and evacuate those acidic and toxic substances. Consuming alkaline foods will help create a mucus-free body.

Urine testing can indicate how well your body is assimilating minerals, especially bicarbonate, calcium, magnesium, sodium, and potassium. These are called the “acid buffers” because they are used by the body to control the acid level. If acid levels are too high, the body will not be able to excrete acid due to depleted mineral reserves. It must store the acid in body tissues (autotoxication) or buffer it—that is, borrow minerals from organs, bones, etc. in order to neutralize acidity.

There are many false pH readings. The metabolic pH may be acid. However, if the acidosis is caused by excess potassium in the system, the kidneys will dump potassium and retain hydrogen. Here the urine is alkaline while the body fluids are acid. Furthermore, in a person who has a highly acidic diet and a urinary pH of 6.5 or higher, it is highly probable that that the body may be in the ammonia cycle of the liver to help deal with the acid.

Very few people are pH balance correctly. The pH tendency of foods is not based on their acid content or taste, but on the mineral content. Many people eat what they think is an alkalizing diet. However, as a result of intensive farming, irresponsible agricultural practices, and burning fossil fuel there is no uncontaminated, nutrient dense or nutrient balanced food. This is compounded by the use of potassium, nitrogen, and phosphorus laden fertilizers. We have mineral aberrations in everything we consume; compounding matters, almost everyone consumes acidic water, which contains no bicarbonate.

The urine may be alkaline, but it is merely masking a mineral aberrations. This is why standard urine and saliva tests may not be enough; it is often necessary to use another test, which is called a pH Challenge.

The kidneys, adrenals, lungs, and gonads work together to help maintain a blood pH of 7.4 by affecting the components of the buffers in the blood. Bicarbonate is the most important buffer in the blood and prevents blood from becoming too acidic.

By far the most important buffer for maintaining acid-base balance in the blood is the carbonic-acid-bicarbonate buffer, which was thrown out of kilter by acid rain.

Natural mineral or spring waters have various contents of bicarbonates, from some tens to thousands of mg/liter. Our water supply now contains sulfuric acid, nitric acid, and excessive amounts of carbonic acid. These acid aberrations deplete the natural bicarbonate level in spring waters, and offset the carbonic-acid-bicarbonate buffering system.

Here is the equation: the most effective way to deal with high alkalinity in water is by injecting acid into the water. The bicarbonates in the water react with the hydrogen ions from the acid without removing hydrogen from the media solution. Nitric acid, sulfuric acid, and phosphoric acid are the most commonly used inorganic acids. When alkalinity is very high it is often desirable to use a combination of two acids to prevent excessive levels of individual elements.

The consumption of appropriate bicarbonates is linked to neutralizing acids in the human body. This, in turn, may decrease day-to-day bone resorption, increasing the rate of bone formation, and possibly, slow the natural decline in muscle and tissue wasting that occurs with ageing.

The most important effect of bicarbonate ingestion is the change in acid-base balance as well as blood pH and bicarbonate concentration in biological fluids.
Bicarbonate reduces the acidity of dietary components such as proteins. As an example, adding sodium or even more potassium bicarbonate to subjects on a high protein diet known to acidify urine and leading to hypercalciuria (high level of calcium in urine) has been shown to greatly reduce calcium urinary excretion.

It is to be emphasized that magnesium bicarbonate assists in the maintenance of cell homeostasis. As stated previously, intracellular homeostasis is very dependent on the "here and now": it is very dependent on the immediate maintenance of ideal biochemical conditions. Because magnesium bicarbonate decreases the production of acid from carbon dioxide in body cells, when magnesium bicarbonate is present in body cells then the time dependency for carbon dioxide elimination from the lungs and the time-dependency for acid elimination by the kidneys do not operate as adversely on the homeostasis of body cells. Ageing is greatly delayed.

Magnesium bicarbonate increases considerably the energy production in body cells. This energy increase occurs in several ways. First, magnesium bicarbonate protects the natural organic and inorganic phosphate buffers in the cytoplasm of cells. This is important, particularly in muscle cells and brain cells (neurons). Second, magnesium bicarbonate neutralizes the acid produced as a result of metabolic processes and ATP hydrolysis. This allows more ATP to be hydrolyzed; that is, more energy can be utilized. Third, magnesium bicarbonate buffers the mitochondria in body cells from excess acid concentrations which improves mitochondrial function and allows more ATP to be produced. When more ATP can be hydrolyzed and more ATP can be produced, body cells have sufficient energy for optimum function. When body cells have optimum function, the energy levels and the physical performance of the body are enhanced.

During strenuous types of exercise, muscle metabolism can increase to sixty times normal. This increase is higher than the corresponding increase in blood flow which increases to twenty times normal. As a result, carbon dioxide concentrations increase greatly in muscle cells and tissues during strenuous exercise and add to the acid load in the muscles. Normally, muscle cells contain concentrations of organic and inorganic phosphates that are able to buffer the acid load in exercising muscles. Indeed, there are about twenty times the concentrations of phosphates inside cells than there are outside cells. However, during strenuous exercise the phosphate buffers are overwhelmed and the muscles become acidic. Muscle acidity results in poor performance and fatigue.

When strenuous physical activities are undertaken, the consumption of magnesium bicarbonate protects the natural organic and inorganic phosphate buffers inside muscle cells. This minimizes fatigue caused by acidity. An ingestion of 300 mg/kg of body weight of bicarbonate before exercising will help you reduce muscular fatigue and so increase the performance of short- term physical exercise.

Saliva testing can indicate the activity of digestive enzymes in your body, especially the activity of the liver and stomach. This reveals the flow of enzymes running through your body and shows their effect on all the body systems.

You can test your pH at home using litmus paper strips (available at your local pharmacy, health food store, or on-line). Test your urine when you first get up and test the saliva before putting anything in the mouth. (Do not put the test paper directly on your tongue). Testing during the day results in testing what you ate in the previous meal and its temporary effect on the body. Because PH fluctuates you need to test yourself regularly to get an overall accurate reading.

If the pH deviates too far to the acid side or too far to the alkaline side, our cells become poisoned by their own toxic waste and eventually die. Just as acid rain can destroy a forest and alkaline wastes can pollute a lake, an acidic pH continuously corrodes all body tissue, slowly eating into the 60,000 miles of our veins and arteries like corrosives eating into marble. If left unchecked, an imbalanced pH will interrupt all cellular activities and functions, from the beating of your heart to the neural firing of your brain. Although it may generally go unnoticed and undetected for years, an imbalanced pH can lead to the progression of most, if not all, degenerative diseases including cardiovascular disease, cancer, and diabetes, as well as the never-ending frustration of excessive systemic weight gain.

No other single indicator than the body's pH is encountered as often in assessing health and disease. When the pH is highly acidic or varies radically, the person is not in the optimum state of health. The pH of your body is something you must not ignore if you wish to maintain good health, regain lost immunity, or maintain proper weight.

The acidity or alkalinity of our cells and fluids govern what metabolic activities can take place and how effectively they function. If pH is too acid, then our body's chemical reactions and electrical responses are too fast. Consequently, we can wear out or burn up. On the other hand, if pH is too alkaline, then our chemical and electrical processes are too slow and we have autointoxication or self-poisoning. Thus, we have a sluggish liver, sluggish bowel, and congested lymphatics.

A habitually acid pH can directly cause immediate weight gain by triggering a condition known as insulin sensitivity that causes erratic insulin production by the body.

Americans take better care of their aquariums and pools than they do their children. To date, I have never met parents who pH balance their children.

Minerals and Electrolytes

It was not long ago that food and water contained everything people needed for good health. However, greed, irresponsible agricultural practices, industrial waste, and poor food choices have wrought havoc on the American diet, leaving all of us at risk of not getting the right balance of nutrients.

Maintaining proper pH is essential for life, health, and vitality. If our body’s pH is not balanced, we do not assimilate vitamins and minerals properly.

Minerals control our bodies’ ability to absorb and use vitamins. They are the catalysts for all the vitamins and other nutrients your body uses for developing and maintaining good health. To the human body, vitamins without minerals are ineffective and are quickly eliminated from the body. A deficiency or toxicity of just one mineral can have devastating effects on our health.

Minerals are responsible for maintenance and regulation of pH of the tissue and blood. Like vitamins, minerals function as coenzymes, enabling the body to perform functions like energy production, growth, and healing. Minerals play many roles in the human body, from regulating fluid balance to activating genes and hormones.

Minerals are important to our bodies because they help us build strong bones and muscles. Minerals help us to fight disease and build up our organs, muscles, bones, and blood against anything that can harm us. They also aid in the process of healing. Minerals are the cornerstone of good health, all prevention, and recovery programs.

Electrolytes are salts in the body that conduct electricity; they are found in the body, fluid, tissue, and blood. Examples are calcium, magnesium, potassium, sodium, chloride, phosphate, fulvic, and bicarbonate. Proper balance is essential for muscle coordination, heart function, fluid absorption and excretion, nerve function, and concentration. Electrolytes must exist in the body within a narrow range in order to effectively serve a variety of critical functions.

In physiology, an electrolyte disturbance is an abnormal change in the levels of electrolytes in the body. Severe or prolonged electrolyte disturbance can lead to cardiac problems, neuronal malfunction, organ failure, and ultimately death. The kidneys play a critical role in regulating electrolytes. They control the levels of chloride in your blood and “flush out” potassium, magnesium and sodium.

Electrolytes play a vital role in maintaining homeostasis within the body. They help to regulate myocardial and neurological function, fluid balance, oxygen delivery, acid-base balance, and much more. Electrolyte aberrations can develop by the following mechanisms: excessive or diminished ingestion or elimination of an electrolyte, pH imbalance, mineral antagonists, and/or secondary deficiencies.

Mineral balance is disrupted and electrolyte reserves are depleted by the consumption of acid rain. When we put anything acidic in the body, the body must use alkaline minerals to neutralize the acid. Calcium, magnesium, potassium, bicarbonate, and sodium reserves are inordinately used to buffer the acids. As these mineral reserves become depleted, our body uses calcium from our bones to buffer the acids.

As calcium is leached from our bones, the outer surface of bone (the periosteum [a thin, dense membrane that contains nerves and blood vessels that nourish the bone]) becomes porous. This is the major cause of arthritis; it can also cause vertebrae and other joints to become fused and/or inflamed. As bone density is compromised, muscles tend to adhere to bones to splint them (for example shin splints). Muscle (fibrotic) adhesions have decreased vascular activity; the tissue will gradually decompose.

Bone is the most common site of metastasis from cancer of the breast, prostate and lung. It does not take an etiologist understand the correlation between acid rain, pollution, ph imbalance, depleted and/or imbalanced minerals reserves, and degenerative diseases. In fact, many experts believe that 90% of sickness and disease may result from the effects of over-indulging, sloth, pollution, pH imbalance, vitamin, enzyme, and/or mineral aberrations.

An electrolyte imbalance alone can lead to a number of warning signs, depending on which electrolyte is out of balance and whether the level is too high or too low. If you have altered potassium, magnesium, sodium, calcium, chloride, phosphate, or bicarbonate levels, you may experience one or more of the following symptoms:

• Muscle spasm • Numbness
• Bone disorders • Nervous system disorders
• Weakness • Confusion
• Blood pressure changes • Convulsions
• Twitching • Seizures
• Irregular heartbeat • Lethargy

If only people were aware of what causes minerals to be assimilated or rejected, we could change the course of humanity. pH balance determines and limits mineral assimilation.

Every mineral has its own signature pH level that permits assimilation by our body. If we look at an atomic scale chart of elements, those at the lower end are capable of assimilation over a broader pH range. Those higher on the chart need a progressively narrower pH range to be assimilated.

Sodium and magnesium have wide pH assimilation ranges. It narrows somewhat for calcium and potassium; more for manganese and iron; more for zinc and copper; more for iodine.

To summarize, if we are not balanced, our body will simply reject most minerals. Why is this relevant? Let us look at iodine as an example. High up on the atomic scale, it requires near perfect pH for its assimilation into the body. Iodine is required for a healthy thyroid gland. However, our thyroid will receive virtually no iodine unless the body pH is almost perfect.

Thyroid disease has been connected to arthritis, heart attacks, diabetes, cancer, depression, obesity, fatigue, confusion, constipation, and vision problems. Even a slightly under active thyroid — too mild for symptoms — during pregnancy might trigger premature birth and babies born with lower IQs.

Research has shown a direct correlation between mineral deficiencies and illnesses. For example, diabetes and hypoglycemia involve chromium, zinc and vanadium deficiencies; cancer and heart disease involve selenium, copper, and more. Most everyone knows that osteoporosis involves a calcium deficiency, but few know about the need for magnesium and boron as well.

In fact, up to 90 percent of all Americans have a magnesium deficiency. Magnesium deficiency is associated with many inflammatory and insulin-resistant conditions and major diseases. These include diabetes, heart disease, hypertension, migraine and cluster headaches, and many more. Magnesium-deficiency may cause aggressive behavior, depression, or suicide. Magnesium has been extensively depleted in plants by the use of potassium and phosphorus laden fertilizers which alter the plants’ ability to uptake the mineral.

Another reason for inadequate minerals in the body is a phenomenon known as secondary deficiency. It has been proven that an excess of one mineral may directly cause a deficiency of another because minerals compete for absorption. Secondary deficiency means that an excess of one mineral causes a deficiency of another.

Just as drugs, vitamins, and herbs overshadow the importance of minerals, we find the value of the mineral magnesium has been eclipsed by the emphasis on calcium.

Our growing mineral imbalance over the past 20 years has lead to a dramatic increase in depression, hyperactivity, and attention deficit disorder. By replenishing our mineral supply we will think more clearly, have better reflexes, more energy, better skin, less cravings, stronger bones, and healthier teeth. It is difficult to get people to think positively and realistically until they surrender to Christ and their bodies are properly nourished.

Unfortunately, many practitioners believe that the body can somehow miraculously and naturally balance its pH and create minerals, as if we were living thousands of years ago drinking pristine water, eating wholesome raw foods and herbs, with small portions of cooked meat and fish. The truth is so far beyond this ideal.

Few people outside specialist circles are aware of the scale and severity of an imbalanced pH, vitamin, mineral, and enzyme deficiency, or of what it means for individuals and for future generations.

Around 210 million women become pregnant annually around the world and every minute a woman dies in pregnancy or childbirth. The nutritional needs during pregnancy are 10 to 30 percent greater than normal. With our current mineral deficient food, it is impossible for a mother to eat enough fruit, vegetables, meat, and dairy products to cover the mineral needs of both mother and fetus. Nutritional deficiencies adversely affect the health of the fetus. Almost every woman who is pregnant and every new mother who breastfeeds her infant is likely to suffer from malnutrition.

New moms face increased risks for a variety of mental problems according to one of the largest studies of psychiatric illness after childbirth. During the first 10 to 19 days, new mothers were seven times more likely to be hospitalized with some form of mental illness than women with older infants. Compared to women with no children, new mothers were four times more likely to be hospitalized with mental problems. New mothers also were more likely than other women to get outpatient psychiatric treatment. Mental problems included postpartum depression, but also bipolar disorder, with altering periods of depression and mania; schizophrenia and similar disorders; and adjustment disorders, which can include debilitating anxiety. Postpartum depression alone affects about 15 percent of U.S. women.

When a woman gets pregnant, the fetus takes priority getting all the necessary alkaline minerals (calcium, magnesium, potassium, sodium) since the baby is born with the highest alkalinity. This means that while the mother is sleeping she looses alkaline minerals creating blood acidity. This phenomenon causes what is known as morning sickness. Therefore, when the mother has a mineral deficiency the embryo will not receive the minerals necessary for proper development and the mother is further depleted of mineral reserves. Add acid rain, pollution, chlorinated water, chronic acidosis, and vitamin and enzyme aberration to this and consider what it means for our children.

It means the impairment of hundreds of millions of growing bodies and minds and the lowering of national IQs. It means obesity, wholesale damage to immune systems, and the deaths of more than a million children a year. It means 200,000 serious birth defects annually and the deaths of approximately 50,000 young women a year during pregnancy and childbirth. Furthermore, it means the large-scale loss of national energies, intellects, productivity, and growth.

In practice, vitamin, mineral, and enzyme deficiencies overlap and interact. Over half of children with vitamin, mineral, and enzyme deficiencies are suffering from multiple maladies--adding up to an immeasurable burden on individuals, on health services, on education systems, and on millions of families caring for children who are disabled or mentally impaired.

Nutrition is a process that serves two purposes: to provide energy and to maintain body structure and function. The food supply available today will not adequately provide the building blocks needed to replace worn or damaged cells and the nutritional components needed for proper body function.

Much of the foods in our grocery stores are over-processed and void of many essential nutrients. Produce is grown in soils that have been over-planted, watered with polluted chlorinated acidic water, and saturated with synthetic fertilizers and, most of the time, pesticides. We feed this tainted slop to the livestock we eat. Scientists theorize that acid rain, pollution, chlorine, mineral imbalance, and vitamin and enzyme deficiencies subject us, and our animals, to more diseases, premature aging, sickness, and destruction of our physical well-being than any other factors in personal health.

In addition, pasteurized/homogenized milk and dairy products, alcohol, and drugs inhibit the absorption of these minerals, further depleting reserves. So it is cyclical: refined foods inhibit mineral absorption and then are not themselves efficiently digested because of diminished enzyme activity. Furthermore, alcohol interferes with the nutritional process by affecting digestion, storage, utilization, and excretion of nutrients.

Alcohol and Nutrition – Modified from Linda B. Bobroff
Alcohol is the favorite mood-altering drug in the United States and its effects, both pleasant and unpleasant, are well known. What may not be well known is the fact that alcohol is a toxic drug that produces pathological changes (cirrhosis) in liver tissue; it can lead to mental changes, nerve damage, and heart problems, and can cause death.

Alcohol use disrupts the contraction of heart muscle, and intoxication can cause arrhythmias even in healthy persons. Alcohol has adverse cardiac effects on blood pressure, ventricular function, and incidence of atrial fibrillation.

In younger individuals, alcohol perpetuates fetal alcohol syndrome, malnutrition, accidents, violence, and suicide; there is no data supporting the benefit of alcohol in this age group. In older individuals, liver and neurological diseases, pancreatitis, and cancer emerge as the major adverse effects. Acute alcohol ingestion is associated with decreased left ventricular function and pro-arrhythmic effects, most notably paroxysmal atrial fibrillation. Alcohol increases triglycerides.

Alcohol increases acid secretion in the stomach. Alcohol interferes with the metabolism of most vitamins, and with the absorption of many nutrients. Alcohol hikes nutritional needs and reduces nutrient availability.

Alcohol will dramatically acidify the pH of the human body. Heavy alcohol consumption causes B-vitamin deficiencies, and because alcohol destroys anti-diuretic (vasopressin) hormone, our body fluids pour through our kidneys causing dehydration and mineral loss. This loss is especially crucial for potassium, which makes us weak when it is low, and magnesium, a deficiency of which makes our nervous system hyperirritable (magnesium deficiency can also keep a person awake). Alcohol also stimulates urinary calcium excretion.
Alcohol is readily absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract; however, alcohol cannot be stored and therefore, the body must oxidize it to get rid of it. Alcohol can only be oxidized in the liver, where enzymes are found to initiate the process.

Chronic drinking upsets the gut and interferes with its ability to absorb nutrients. Alcohol inhibits the breakdown of nutrients into usable molecules by decreasing secretion of digestive enzymes from the pancreas. Alcohol impairs nutrient absorption by damaging the cells lining the stomach and intestines and disabling transport of some nutrients into the blood. In addition, nutritional deficiencies themselves may lead to further absorption problems. Even if proper nutrients were digested and absorbed, alcohol can prevent them from being fully utilized by altering their transport, storage, and excretion, resulting in decreased liver stores of vitamins such as vitamin A, and increased excretion of nutrients such as fat.

Alcohol can impair the mechanisms by which the body controls blood glucose levels, resulting in either increased or decreased blood glucose. As a result, alcohol can cause the brain and other body tissue to be deprived of glucose needed for energy and function.

Research indicates that alcohol affects protein nutrition by causing impaired breakdown of proteins to amino acids, impaired processing of amino acids by the small intestine and liver, impaired synthesis of proteins from amino acids, and impaired protein secretion by the liver.

Nutrients are essential for proper body function; proteins, vitamins, and minerals provide the tools that the body needs to perform properly. Alcohol can disrupt body function by causing nutrient deficiencies and by usurping the processes necessary to metabolize nutrients.

Alcohol has direct toxic effects on fetal development, causing alcohol-related birth defects, including fetal alcohol syndrome. Alcohol itself is toxic to the fetus, but accompanying nutritional deficiency can affect fetal development, perhaps compounding the risk of developmental damage.

Prescription and Over-the-Counter Drugs

Another reason for mineral deficiency in humans is overuse of prescription drugs. It has been known since the 1950s that drugs interfere with uptake, assimilation, and utilization of minerals. When the body has to try to metabolize these drugs to clear the system, its own mineral stores are heavily drawn upon. This is one of the most basic mechanisms in drug-induced immunosuppression: minerals are essential for normal immune function.
Food and drug interactions have dramatic and dangerous effects on the way our bodies react to drugs and assimilate vitamins and minerals.

Tylenol, Advil, Motrin, and aspirin have the same inhibitive effect on mineral absorption. Moreover, when the body has to try to metabolize these drugs to clear the system, its own mineral stores are heavily drawn upon. Such a waste of energy is used to metabolize drugs out of the body. This is one of the most basic mechanisms in drug-induced immune-suppression: minerals are essential for normal immune function.

Many drugs can damage the lining of our stomach and impair our ability to hold onto nutrients that we take in.

Taking medication may not seem like a nutrition-related issue, however, when food and medication are taken together, they often interact.
Food and drug interactions may make a drug less effective, cause unexpected side effects, or increase the action of certain drugs. Some food and drug interactions can even be harmful. Potential effects depend not only on the type of drug, the dosage, and the form in which the drug is taken, but also a person's age, sex, weight, nutritional status, and overall health.
Drug Effects on Nutritional Status
Prescription and over-the-counter drugs can affect nutritional status in a number of ways: by enhancing excretion of certain nutrients, by interfering with nutrient absorption, or by decreasing the body's ability to change nutrients into usable forms. These effects are gradual so that the effects will be greater in persons taking drugs over a period of time. People who take prescription and over-the-counter drugs regularly develop vitamin and mineral deficiencies or toxicities.
• Abuse of antacids can lead to phosphate depletion. This can lead to a vitamin D deficiency in severe cases. Some patients have developed osteomalacia or softening of the bones due to loss of calcium because of a vitamin D deficiency.

• The excessive use of diuretics ("water pills") may result in the loss of electrolytes, mainly potassium. This may put people with heart problems at higher risk for serious heart rhythm problems. In heart patients taking digitalis as well as a diuretic, potassium loss can make the heart more sensitive to the drug. People taking diuretics regularly should eat foods which are good sources of potassium: tomatoes, tomato juice, oranges, orange juice, cantaloupes, bananas, raisins, prunes, potatoes, sweet potatoes, and winter squash.

• Women who take oral contraceptives over a long time may develop folic acid and vitamin C deficiencies. For example, inadequate intake of folic acid and vitamin B-6 and B-12 is associated with elevated blood levels of homocysteine and increased risk of heart attacks. Women who are deficient in folic acid who become pregnant have increased risks of birth defects for their babies.

• Anticonvulsant drugs, prescribed to prevent seizures, can lead to vitamin D and folic acid deficiencies. Vitamin D is found in enriched milk. The use of vitamin supplements by patients taking these drugs should be medically monitored.

• The antihypertension drug hydralazine can deplete the body's supply of vitamin B6. This vitamin is widely distributed in foods. Some good sources are chicken, fish, liver, whole grain breads and cereals, egg yolks, bananas and potatoes.

• Several drugs, including colchicine (used to treat acute gout), oral anti-diabetic agents, and the antibiotic neomycin can impair absorption of vitamin B12. Persons who do not eat any animal products (vegans) may have poorer vitamin B12 status and may be at greater risk for a deficiency when taking one of these drugs.

The Potentially Adverse Effects of Prescription Drugs

Discovering dangers of prescription drugs after they have been marketed to the medical community and public is common. Generally, 51% of FDA-approved drugs have serious adverse effects not detected prior to approval. Each year prescription drugs injure 1.5 million people so severely they require hospitalization. In addition, prescription drugs cause 100,000 deaths annually.

A recent study in JAMA examined the incidence of serious and fatal adverse drug reactions (ADR) in hospital patients. An ADR is any harmful, unintended, or undesired effect of a drug. This definition includes neither drug abuse nor intentional or accidental drug overdose. The results of this study were conclusive: the rate of severe and deadly adverse drug reactions in U.S. hospitals was found to be extremely high—high enough that ADRs ranked fourth, after heart disease, cancer, and stroke, as a leading cause of death in the U.S.

Despite FDA attempts to incorporate various drug safety measures prior to approving prescription drugs, they often overlook potentially dangerous effects. The use of prescription drugs is often crucial; however, in order to avoid potentially harmful side effects and drug interactions, natural remedies should be incorporated whenever possible. Herbal therapies and natural supplements may support the relief of many health problems without the harmful effects of prescription drugs.

The truth is that our foods vary enormously in value, and many of them are not worth eating as food. Our physical well-being is more directly dependent upon the minerals we take into our system than upon calories or vitamins or upon the precise proportions of starch, protein, or carbohydrates we consume. Minerals improve our mind’s ability to heal itself, increase our feeling of well-being, and augment our ability to think positively.

All the medical research and billions of dollars spent to find cures have not halted the advance of killer diseases, and yet Dr Linus Pauling, winner of two Nobel Prizes stated decades ago that: "You can trace every sickness, every disease and every ailment to a mineral deficiency." Without these minerals, it is impossible for the regeneration process in the cell to occur. None of the functions of the body can occur (properly) without optimal and relative levels of ALL of the minerals and trace minerals.

The introduction of synthetic fertilizers, which generally contain only three minerals (some have up to 12)—phosphorous, nitrogen and potassium—while beautifully promoting plant growth, do nothing to address the depletion of the 84 minerals required for human health.

Minerals are responsible for tens of thousands of bio-chemical reactions:

• enzyme function
• all mental and physical processes
• hormonal secretion of our endocrine glands
• biochemical activity of vitamins
• the balance of internal and external pressures of the body cells
• playing a critical role in the synthesis of DNA
• regeneration of cells

This information is quite startling. In fact, the realization of the importance of balanced minerals in food and a balanced pH is so new that the textbooks on nutritional dietetics contain very little about them.

Many people perceive illness as if God needs to do a recall on the human body. Conversely, the problem is operator error.

The properties of complex mineral combinations are so unique that even if we joined the efforts of all chemists of the world we could not manage to synthesize anything similar. God designed us to consume balanced minerals; without these precious minerals, we will never reach our full potential.

Trace Elements
Right Amounts--Right Ratios
Mineral Antagonists -- Toxic Elements
Organic & Inorganic Secondary Deficiencies

One hundred twenty inorganic elements make up the earth's surface. Inorganic minerals have never lived; they cannot bring life into our cells. They have a covalent bond, which the body cannot break down. They are metals and the body treats them more as toxins than as nutrients.

Organic minerals once were or are now living and can bring life to and be utilized by cells. They have an ionic bond that the body can break down into usable material for tissue repair and function. It is made of a plant (which draws the inorganic mineral from the soil by way of the roots and converts them into organic minerals), or living organism and the body uses it as food.

The function of each mineral or element is optimal when the body's concentration of that nutrient falls within a specific range, known as the therapeutic range.

When there is insufficient concentration (deficiency) or excessive concentration (overload or toxicity) of an element (organic or inorganic) the functionality of nutrients are compromised.

Generally, elements in food are found in specific ratios to each other in nature. When these ratios become unbalanced for an extended time, a chain reaction leading to illness or premature degeneration develops.

The interaction of these micro-nutrients are difficult to study, since they are found occurring together in various forms and amounts in the diet, and their absorption from the intestinal tract is dependent on their relative concentrations, and might be synergetic or antagonistic, and the amount could depend on the amount of other essential trace elements in the diet.

Trace element aberrations are directly causative or associative with disease and ill health. A few examples are anemia, cardiac conditions, depression, digestive problems, high blood pressure, hormone imbalance, impaired growth, infertility, insomnia, learning and behavioral problems, osteoporosis, and tumor proliferation.

Our bodies function electrically, and organic plant derived ionic minerals are the essential sparks of life that generate and maintain our electrical production. All bodily processes are dependent on the action of minerals, with the proper efficiency of each mineral being enhanced by balanced amounts of the others.
When our bodies cannot continuously produce healthy cells due to lack of certain minerals, we prematurely age, develop an endless variety of diseases and we will die before our time.

Heavy metals are simply a certain class of metallic elements. Our bodies require trace amounts of some heavy metals, including copper, zinc, and others, but even these are dangerous at high levels. Other heavy metals such as mercury, lead, arsenic, and cadmium have no known benefits, and their accumulation over time can cause serious illness and even premature death.

The industrialization of our world has dramatically increased the overall environmental 'load' of heavy metal toxins. Today, heavy metals are abundant in our air, soil, food, and drinking water. They are present in virtually every area of modern life from construction materials to cosmetics, medicines, fuel, appliances, and even personal care products.

Heavy metal toxins contribute to a variety of adverse health effects. There are at least 65 different heavy metals and trace elements that impact human health. Accumulation within the body can lead to a decline in the mental, cognitive, and physical health of the individual. Many of these pollutants are carcinogenic, teratogenic, or mutagenic.

Below is a list of heavy metals and other trace elements (solid forms) in fossil fuel:

Aluminum, antimony, arsenic, barium, beryllium, bismuth, boron, bromine, cadmium, calcium, carbon, cesium, ceriurn, chlorine, chromium, cobalt, copper, dysprosium, europium, fluorine, gadolinium, gallium, germanium, hafnium, hydrogen, iron, lanthanum, lead, lithium, lutetium, magnesium, manganese, mercury, molybdenum, neodymium, nickel, niobium, nitrogen , phosphorus, potassium, platinum, potassium, rubidium, scandium, selenium, silicon, silver, sodium, strontium, sulfur, tantalum, tellurium, terbium, thallium, thorium, thulium, tin, titanium, tungsten, uranium, vanadium, ytterbium, zinc, and zirconium pose serious health threats. Ingesting, inhaling, or absorbing (through the skin) metals can be toxic, carcinogenic, and/or mutagenic.

The increased acidity of rain also releases many minerals that do not naturally occur or do not belong in water at these disproportionate levels, thus producing what is called hard water; as a result, they are consumed in drinking water or are ingested by plants, animals, or aquatic life, which are then eaten by humans.

When numerous metals are present in the body, they have a “synergistic toxicity.” Dr. Boyd Haley, professor and chair of the chemistry department at the University of Kentucky, performed a study on rats and found that the mortality rate of rats exposed to a small dose of mercury or aluminum killed only 1 rat in 100. However, when the rats were exposed to both mercury and aluminum at the same time, all 100 rats died—a 100% mortality rate.

To some extent all minerals compete for absorption, compete for the same binding sites. Studies have shown that excesses of particular minerals can result in deficiencies in others; likewise, deficiencies of some minerals promote excesses of others. This mutual dependence means not only are minerals required in optimal amounts but also in relative amounts.

Mineral aberrations can cause secondary deficiencies or antagonize mineral absorption. A Few Examples of Secondary Mineral Deficiencies & Mineral Antagonists:

Calcium antagonists: lead, cadmium and other toxic metals displace calcium. Calcium is used therapeutically for lead overload/toxicity. Excess sodium and phosphorus intake promotes urinary loss of calcium. Inadequate vitamin D leads to low calcium status. High calcium intake interferes with absorption of other minerals - i.e., magnesium, iron, zinc, manganese, phosphorous, and copper. Strontium (from coal-fired power) competes with calcium for assimilation.

Chromium antagonists: chromium competes with iron binding on transferrin; phosphates bind with chromium and reduce absorption.

Copper antagonists: excess intake of zinc, iron, Vitamin C, and molybdenum reduce copper absorption and/or utilization--supplements of these increase copper requirements; potassium deficiency increases demand.

Magnesium antagonists: calcium and iron supplements interfere with absoprtion; calcium deficiency is often associated with hypomagnesia. High intake can suppress calcium and phosphorous.

Manganese antagonists: suppresses iron, pohosphorous, potassium, and magnesium. Excess manganese can reduce copper levels. Excess iron or zinc ingestion (combined with hypochlorhydria) can disturb manganese levels. Elevated calcium and/or phosphorous intake decreases manganese absorption.

Molybdenum antagonists: tungsten antagonizes molybdenum metabolism; high copper and sulphate intake increases requirements.

Selenium antagonists: heavy metals such as lead and arsenic reduce tissue selenium concentration. Selenium is protective against mercury, cadmium, silver, lead, aluminum, and arsenic by forming inert complexes.

Zinc antagonists: zinc competes with calcium and iron for absorption. Excessive copper intake impairs zinc absorption. Copper and lead toxicity increase requirements. Zinc suppresses iron, copper, phosphorous and cadmium.

Aluminum competes with silicon. Cadmium competes with zinc. Tellurium competes with selenium. Lanthanum competes with calcium. Aluminum alters iron, zinc, and copper metabolism.

Aluminum antagonists: all minerals including calcium, iron, zinc, silica, fluoride, magnesium, selenium, and phosphorous; deficiencies of these can lead to increased absorption of aluminum.

Aluminum uptake/concentration increased by: calcium and zinc deficiencies; combined with low magnesium intake may contribute to aluminium-induced neuron disease.

Arsenic antagonists: suppresses iodine and selenium—adequate amounts of each are needed to suppress arsenic; excess arsenic depletes body's stores of phosphate.

Arsenic uptake/concentration increased: interacts with lead to diminish cognitive function.

Cadmium antagonists: calcium, iron, selenium, zinc, vitamin C, lipoic acid, quercetin, methionone, and pectin. Cadmium decreases the bioavailability of selenium and acts antagonistically to zinc, a cofactor for the antioxidant enzyme superoxide dismutase.

Cadmium uptake/concentration increased: deficiencies of copper, iron, calcium, zinc, and Vitamin D.

Lead antagonists: calcium, chromium, copper, iron, selenium, phosphorous, sulphur, vitamins: E, B complex; fiber, cysteine, lipoic acid, lysine, methionone, and quercetin. Lead reduces the bioavailability of zinc from food and the folate uptake is reduced by secondary zinc deficiency.

Lead uptake/concentration increased: deficiencies of calcium, iron, zinc and vitamin D. Lead interacts with calcium in the nervous system, which is detrimental to cognitive development.

Mercury antagonists: selenium binds to mercury and supports general tissue detoxification, protecting against toxicity.

Mercury uptake/concentration increased by: cadmium overload and zinc deficiency.

Nickel antagonists: calcium, iron, magnesium, zinc, and phytates reduce GIT absorption of nickel. Nickel toxicity can lead to magnesium deficiency or excess concentration of iron or zinc.

Nickel uptake/concentration increased by: low intake of calcium, iron, magnesium and zinc.

Cesium (from coal-fired power) competes with potassium for assimilation. Cesium a chemical relative of potassium is readily taken up by plants.

A Fractional Damage Assessment

Severe health problems arising from human contact with toxic or hazardous wastes are increasingly common.

The seriousness of this problem cannot be underestimated in light of findings from the World Health Organization (WHO) who revealed that 60-80% of heavy metal toxins found in human bodies in urban industrial areas were the result of consuming contaminated foods and water rather than through air pollution.

The burning of coal releases several contaminants into the atmosphere, among these are mercury, cadmium, arsenic, lead, chromium, barium, and zinc.

MERCURY

Mercury occurs primarily in two forms: organic mercury and inorganic mercury. Inorganic mercury and elemental mercury are both toxins that can produce a wide range of adverse health affects. Inorganic mercury is used in thermometers, barometers, dental fillings, batteries, electrical wiring and switches, fluorescent light bulbs, pesticides, fungicides, vaccines, paint, skin-tightening creams, antiseptic creams, pharmaceutical drugs, and other ointments.

Humans have the ability to convert this inorganic mercury to an organic form once it has become absorbed into the bloodstream. Organic mercury is known to bio-accumulate due they body’s inability to process and eliminate it. Rain is contaminated with mercury from coal-fired electric plants and the burning of fossil fuel. Mercury is one of the heavy metals that cause dangerous inflammation in body tissues. Acidification increases bioconversion of mercury to methylmercury; methylmercury is a neurotoxin, and the form of mercury that is most easily bioaccumulated in organisms.

Methyl mercury compounds, such as dimethyl mercury, are among the most dangerous. Mercury salts released into the environment may frequently be converted by anaerobic bacteria into such compounds, which can then be carried through the food chain to humans. Methylmercury exposure via food most often occurs when seafood-containing mercury is eaten, or when mercury-containing plants, such as rice, are consumed. Organic mercury is often found in produce, farm animals, processed grains, dairy products, and surface water sources.

Potential health impacts associated with mercury include cancer, cardiovascular or blood toxicity, developmental toxicity, endocrine toxicity, gastrointestinal or liver toxicity, immunotoxicity, kidney toxicity, neurotoxicity, reproductive toxicity, respiratory toxicity, and skin sensitivity.

Occupational exposure to mercury containing compounds presents a significant health risk to individuals. Dentists, painters, fishermen, electricians, pharmaceutical/laboratories workers, farmers, factory workers, miners, chemists, and beauticians are just some of the professions chronically exposed to mercury compounds.

An Environmental Working Group analysis of mercury tests reported by 28,299 public water suppliers in 40 states shows that between 1998 and 2003, 18.5 million people in 1,298 communities drank water contaminated with mercury. In 37 of these communities, tap water was contaminated at levels above health-based thresholds.

Environmental Health Perspectives found that 89 percent of their female patients had mercury levels above what most scientists consider safe, and that high mercury levels in adults correlated with memory loss, fatigue, and muscle aches. Another preliminary study this year found that mothers who delivered prematurely were more likely to have high mercury levels.

Unborn babies are at the greatest risk. Babies developing in the womb seem to be most vulnerable to the effects of mercury on their brains and nervous systems. Mercury is poisoning an entire generation of our nation’s children.

CADMIUM

Cadmium emissions arise from two major source categories, natural sources and anthropogenic (man-made) sources. Emissions occur to the three major compartments of the environment - air, water, and soil, but there may be considerable transfer between the three compartments after initial deposition.

Man-made cadmium emissions arise either from the manufacture, use and disposal of products intentionally utilizing cadmium, or from the presence of cadmium as a natural but not functional impurity in non-cadmium containing products. Cadmium (for industrial use) is produced in large quantities, over 8 million metric tons in 1999. Cadmium generated by metal smelters/refiners is cemented and buried, stored for future use, or disposed of in landfills as hazardous waste.

Cadmium poses a major concern to food safety because is taken up relatively easily by crops. What makes cadmium unique is that it is not toxic to plants at concentrations of concern to human health. Consumption of crops is the main source of human exposure at approximately 75%. Grains, leafy greens, and root crops are associated with elevated levels of cadmium.

Cadmium accumulates in the body; although a person’s daily intake may be as little as 0.05 milligrams, he or she will have stored, on average, about 50 milligrams. Cadmium is a poison and is known to cause birth defects and cancer. It can stay in one’s body for years and can also change forms within the body.

Cadmium interferes with the metabolism of copper, iron, calcium, zinc, and vitamin D. An Environmental Working Group analysis of cadmium tests reported by 28,944 public water suppliers in 41 states shows that between 1998 and 2003, 9.5 million people in 1,364 communities drank water contaminated with cadmium. In 1,040 of these communities, tap water was contaminated at levels above health-based thresholds.

ARSENIC

According to a 1999 study by the National Academy of Sciences, arsenic in drinking water causes bladder, lung, and skin cancer, and may cause kidney and liver cancer. The study also found that arsenic harms the central and peripheral nervous systems, as well as heart and blood vessels, and causes serious skin problems. It can cause birth defects and reproductive problems.

Arsenic is a natural element of the earth's crust. It is used in industry and agriculture, and for other purposes. It also is a byproduct of copper smelting, mining, and coal burning. U.S. industries release thousands of pounds of arsenic into the environment every year.

The use of this toxic element in numerous industrial processes has resulted in its presence in many biological and ecological systems. Ground, surface, and drinking water are susceptible to arsenic poisoning from the use of arsenic in smelting, refining, galvanizing, and power plants; environmental contaminants like pesticides, herbicides, insecticides, fungicides, desiccants, wood preservatives, and animal feed additives; and human made hazardous waste sites, chemical wastes, and antibiotics.
Arsenic suppresses iodine and selenium. It is a carcinogen that inactivates sulfhydryl groups in enzymes leading to cell death, increases bleeding time, reduces thyroid hormone production by interfering with iodine metabolism, depresses bone marrow involved in methionine metabolism. Low serum arsenic is correlated with central nervous system disorders, vascular disease, and cancer.

Data compiled by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency on arsenic in drinking water in 25 states found conservative estimates indicate that more than 34 million Americans drink tap water supplied by systems containing average levels of arsenic that pose unacceptable cancer risks. We consider it likely that as many as 56 million people in those 25 states have been drinking water with arsenic at unsafe levels--and that is just the 25 states that reported arsenic information to the EPA.

Some plants are arsenic-resistant or can block arsenic uptake by their root systems. Still other food crops accumulate arsenic at levels that raise human health concerns. Since plants take up arsenic primarily by their roots, the highest level of arsenic accumulation is usually in roots and tubers, such as carrots and potatoes.

Studies have shown close associations between both inhaled and ingested arsenic and cancer rates. Cancers of the skin, liver, respiratory tract, and gastrointestinal tract are well documented in regards to arsenic exposure.

LEAD

Lead is the 5th most utilized metal in the U.S. Human exposure to lead occurs primarily through drinking water, airborne lead-containing particulates, and lead-based paints. The primary source of lead in drinking water is from lead-based plumbing materials. The corrosion of such materials will continue to increase concentrations of lead in municipal drinking water. The EPA actually allows small amounts of lead to be present in our tap water due to this insurmountable problem. Grounding of household electrical systems to plumbing may also exacerbate corrosion. Corrosion of plumbing is by far the greatest cause for concern. All water is corrosive to metal plumbing materials to some degree.

Lead from water and airborne sources have been shown to accumulate in agricultural areas leading to increased concentrations in agricultural produce and farm animals. Cigarette smoke is also a significant source of lead exposure.

A certain amount of lead is always in our bodies because of the background presence of lead in food, water, and sources in the soil. The EPA estimates that drinking water can make up 20 percent or more of a person's total exposure to lead. Atmospherically derived lead is a widely distributed contaminant that can inhibit a range of essential ecosystem processes in soils. Lead has made its way into food, animals, and humans.

Because of the possibility of permanent impairment, lead poisoning is particularly dangerous during the critical development periods of infants and young children under the age of 7 years. Young children, those 6 years and younger, are at particular risk for lead exposure because they have frequent hand-to-mouth activity and absorb lead more easily than do adults. Children's nervous systems are still undergoing development and are therefore more susceptible to the effects of toxic agents. Lead is also harmful to the developing fetuses of pregnant women.

Lead in drinking water is a significant contributor to overall exposure to lead, particularly for infants whose diet consists of liquids made with water, such as baby food or formula.

Lead is one of the most toxic elements naturally occurring on Earth. High concentrations of lead can cause irreversible brain damage, seizure, coma, and death if not treated immediately. Evidence suggests that lead may cause fatigue, irritability, memory problems, reduction in sensory and motor reaction times, decision making impairment, and lapses in concentration. In adults, lead is very detrimental to the cardiovascular system. Occupationally exposed individuals tend to have higher blood pressure and are at an increased risk for cardiovascular disease, myocardial infarction, and stroke. The kidneys are targets of lead toxicity and prone to impairment at moderate to high levels of lead concentrations. Other signs/symptoms of lead toxicity include gastrointestinal disturbances, abdominal pain, cramps, constipation, anorexia and weight loss, immunosuppression, and some liver impairment. Lead can affect almost every organ and system in our body.

No safe blood lead level in children has been determined. Children absorb lead much more efficiently than adults do after exposure and are susceptible to the most damaging effects of lead toxicity. Lead not only appears to affect cognitive development of young children but also other areas of neuropsychological function. Low levels of lead in blood have been associated with reduced IQ and attention span, learning disabilities, poor classroom performance, hyperactivity, behavioral problems, impaired growth, and hearing loss. Very high blood lead levels can cause severe neurological problems such as mental retardation, coma, convulsions, and even death. Lead has been determined by many health experts to be the #1 threat to developing children in our industrial societies.
The most sensitive is the central nervous system (brain), particularly in children. Lead also damages kidneys and the reproductive system. The effects are the same whether it is breathed or swallowed.

An Environmental Working Group analysis of lead tests reported by 21,997 public water suppliers in 35 states shows that between 1998 and 2003, 50.4 million people in 7,942 communities drank water contaminated with lead. In 2,275 of these communities, tap water was contaminated at levels above health-based thresholds.

CHROMIUM

Chromium is abundant in the earth’s crust and is widely dispersed in the environment. It is used extensively in refractory materials and chemicals, as a plating to produce hard and smooth surfaces, to prevent corrosion, and in manufacturing stainless and alloy steels. Major atmospheric emissions of chromium arise from metal producing industries, coal-fired plants, municipal incinerators, and cooling towers.

Chromium-6 or Hexavalent chromium is an inorganic chemical that can be toxic. Chromium-6 has been in the news lately because it has been found in groundwater due to industrial contamination. It was the focus of the popular movie Erin Brockovich.

Hexavalent chromium in the workplace is suspected of being carcinogenic. Excessive exposure to dusts or mists of hexavalent chromium compounds produces dermatitis, skin lesions, and ulceration and perforation of the nasal septum, as well as liver and kidney damage. With long-term exposure to hexavalent chromium compounds, incidence of human lung cancer increases.

An Environmental Working Group analysis of hexavalent chromium tests reported by 1,111 public water suppliers in 3 states shows that between 1998 and 2003, 33.4 million people in 519 communities drank water contaminated with hexavalent chromium.

BARIUM

Barium is a heavy metal released into the air by human activities, mainly barium mines, metal production facilities, and industrial boilers that burn coal and oil. When coal and oil are burned to generate electricity, an ash is produced which contains more than 99% of their barium content. Barium released into the soil and water comes from copper smelters and oil drilling waste disposal sites. Industries reporting to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) released 159 tons of barium into the environment in 1995. More than half was released to the soil. Some foods, such as Brazil nuts, seaweed, fish, and certain vegetables, may contain high amounts of barium.

Barium and barium compounds are used for many commercial processes. Barium sulfate is mined and used in oil and gas production, medical procedures, and the manufacture of paints, bricks, tiles, glass, and rubber. Other barium compounds are used in the manufacture of ceramics, pesticides, and oil and fuel additives. In addition, physicians often instruct their patients to swallow a barium compound solution as part of certain medical test procedures.

An Environmental Working Group analysis of barium tests reported by 29,280 public water suppliers in 41 states shows that between 1998 and 2003, 147 million people in 20,626 communities drank water contaminated with barium.

Barium interferes with natural immune system functioning. Barium compounds are extremely poisonous. At low doses, barium acts as a muscle stimulant, while higher doses affect the nervous system, causing cardiac irregularities, tremors, weakness, anxiety, dyspnea, and paralysis. This may be due to its ability to block potassium ion channels that are critical to the proper function of the nervous system.

As barium weakens the immune systems of the masses, we should expect to see statistically significant increases in various diseases that might normally be minimally occurring in a population with a fully-activated immune system.

BERYLLIUM

Beryllium is a metal from metal refineries, coal burning, and pollution from electrical, aerospace and defense industries. Potential health impacts associated with beryllium include cancer, cardiovascular or blood toxicity, gastrointestinal or liver toxicity, immunotoxicity, kidney toxicity, reproductive toxicity, respiratory toxicity, and skin sensitivity.

An Environmental Working Group analysis of beryllium tests reported by 29,913 public water suppliers in 41 states shows that between 1998 and 2003, 6.9 million people in 720 communities drank water contaminated with beryllium.

THE RUN OFF

MOLYBDENUM

Molybdenum is a by-product of copper and tungsten mining. It is used as an alloy for various metals, and it occurs naturally in soil and rock. Potential health impacts associated with molybdenum include neurotoxicity and reproductive toxicity. Plants can, under certain conditions accumulate large concentrations of molybdenum. Molybdenum uptake by plants increases with increased soil pH. Molybdenum can cause acute clinical disease and subsequent death by interfering with copper metabolism.

An Environmental Working Group analysis of molybdenum tests reported by 1,183 public water suppliers in nine states shows that between 1998 and 2003, 24.6 million people in 134 communities drank water contaminated with molybdenum. In 84 of these communities, tap water was contaminated at levels above health-based thresholds. Molybdenum remains unregulated in tap water, without a maximum legal limit.

Molybdenum is mobile in plants and in soil. It is less available in soils with a lower pH. Acid-leached forest and sandstone soils are generally low in molybdenum. Acid rain causes molybdenum to be released from the soil, which contaminates our water and food supply.

PHOSPHOROUS

Phosphorus is a component of fertilizer and manure, and a pollutant in municipal wastewater discharges. Potential health impacts associated with phosphorus include cardiovascular or blood toxicity, gastrointestinal or liver toxicity, kidney toxicity, musculoskeletal toxicity, neurotoxicity, reproductive toxicity, respiratory toxicity, and skin sensitivity.

An Environmental Working Group analysis of phosphorus tests reported by 162 public water suppliers in 7 states shows that between 1998 and 2003, 3.3 million people in 113 communities drank water contaminated with phosphorus. In all of these communities, tap water was contaminated at levels above health-based thresholds. Phosphorus remains unregulated in tap water, without a maximum legal limit.

PERCHLORATE

An Environmental Working Group analysis of perchlorate tests reported by 982 public water suppliers in 7 states shows that between 1998 and 2003, 26.2 million people in 86 communities drank water contaminated with perchlorate. In 8 of these communities, tap water was contaminated at levels above health-based thresholds. Perchlorate remains unregulated in tap water, without a maximum legal limit. Perchlorate is a known endocrine disruptor.

MANGANESE

Manganese is a element from natural deposits as well as industrial use. Potential health impacts associated with manganese include gastrointestinal or liver toxicity, neurotoxicity, reproductive toxicity, and respiratory toxicity.

An Environmental Working Group analysis of manganese tests reported by 16,939 public water suppliers in 33 states shows that between 1998 and 2003, 60.2 million people in 8,184 communities drank water contaminated with Manganese.

The scientific community decided in the 1960’s that we were consuming too much iodine. Subsequently, they advised the baking industry to replace the iodinate with bromate. For over 75 years, doctors have known this bromine is toxic. This is why Broma-Seltzer used as a sedative is no longer available. However, it still overly invades us and is used as an antibacterial (pools, hot tubs), in pesticides, and as a fire retardant (rugs, drapes, upholstery).

Brominated vegetable oil (BVO) is vegetable oil that has had atoms of the element bromine bonded to it. Brominated vegetable oil is used as an emulsifier in Mountain Dew, Pepsi, Gatorade, Sundrop, Squirt, Fresca and many other citrus-flavored drinks to help natural citrus flavors stay suspended in the drink and produce a cloudy appearance.

A Pepsi product website notes that BVO has been used by the soft drink industry since 1931. Brominated vegetable oil is a widely used food additive that has been extensively tested and approved by the U.S. Food & Drug Administration. Despite the fact that in test animals, BVO consumption has caused damage to the heart and kidneys in addition to increasing fat deposits in these organs. In extreme cases, BVO has caused testicular damage, stunted growth, and produced lethargy and fatigue.

Long after human consumption of BVO, traces remain in the body fat. Bromine is a halogen that displaces iodine and may well be a significant contributor to teenage obesity and psychosis, given the rate of consumption by teenagers.

Brominism has side effects such as depression, memory loss, hallucinations, violent tendencies, seizures, cerebral atrophy, acute irritability, tremors, ataxia, confusion, loss of peripheral vision, slurred speech, stupor, tendon reflex changes, photophobia due to enlarged pupils, and extensor plantar responses. More than 100 countries ban BVO for its adverse health effects.

Remember, every mineral has its own signature pH level that permits assimilation by your body. Let us look at copper and zinc this time an example. High up on the atomic scale, copper and zinc require near perfect pH for assimilation into the body.

Zinc is a fundamental mineral that the human body needs in small amounts on a regular basis. We are exposed to zinc compounds in food, water, and air. Zinc can enter the body through the bloodstream, often from digesting foods or drinking contaminated water. Zinc also can enter the bloodstream through the lungs. During respiration, zinc can be absorbed from dust or fumes. Zinc also can be absorbed across mucus membranes or pass directly through skin.

Although naturally occurring in the environment, most concentrations of zinc are a result of man’s activity. Most zinc traces enter the atmosphere through mining, purifying of zinc & lead, steel manufacturing, and coal burning.

Another large source of zinc contamination easily pinpointed is that of urban runoff from roadway surfaces. Zinc used in vehicle brakes and zinc added to tires slowly wears off vehicles and creates a fine dust. The dust enters the air and eventually settles on the roadway surface and the area immediately surrounding the roadway. When precipitation reaches this dust it will carry the contaminates into waterways. Zinc accumulates within the flesh of fish; it is also taken up by crops. Some plants absorb and retain certain metals at higher rates than others do.

Many people are exposed to more than the recommended daily amount through the regular use of supplements containing zinc and excess zinc in our water and food. An acute overdose of zinc can cause symptoms such as vomiting, stomach pain, diarrhea, and fever. Excess zinc in ones body can also lead to the development of a copper deficiency as a result of the interactions within the body.

Organs affected by severe zinc deficiency include epidermal, gastrointestinal, central nervous, immune, skeletal, and reproductive systems. In view of what is now known about the biology of zinc, it is obvious that zinc-dependent metabolic functions are impaired in all tissues. Studies show that poor maternal zinc status in pregnancy can have adverse effects on fetal brain function.

Copper and zinc absorption are also closely related, although copper is needed in relatively small amounts. If large amounts of copper are present, then zinc and vitamin C are reduced in the body, and vice versa. The absorption of large amounts of vitamin C and/or zinc can negatively influence the level of copper in the body, while large amounts of fructose can make a copper deficiency worse.

Copper can be stored in the body, and daily presence in the diet is therefore not necessary. If copper is deficient in the body, iron is also normally in short supply, leading to anemia as well as the likelihood for infections, osteoporosis, thinning of bones, thyroid gland dysfunction, heart disease, as well as nervous system problems.

Copper deficiency can be the result of low levels of the mineral in the soil and in forages raised on the soil--this is primary copper deficiency. However, even if the pH is correct and both food and soil have adequate copper, absorption can be interfered with by minerals known as copper antagonists: lead, iron, manganese, various sulfates, cadmium, and molybdenum. This is secondary copper deficiency. In other words, it is possible to have high copper levels in the body and a copper deficiency at the same time, due to copper antagonists and/or an imbalanced pH. A few of the major copper antagonists are cadmium and lead (burning fossil fuel and industrial waste), vitamin C (manufactured poison), molybdenum (acid rain releases it from the soil). Copper antagonists reduce copper absorption and/or utilization; potassium deficiency also increases copper demand.

A lack of copper may also lead to increased blood fat levels. It is also necessary for the manufacture of the neurotransmitter noradrenaline as well as for the pigmentation of your hair.

Copper is essential in the proper development of the central nervous system. Copper is required in the formation of hemoglobin, red blood cells, and bones,, while it helps with the formation of elastin as well as collagen--making it necessary for wound healing. A copper deficiency causes elevation of early and Advanced Glycation End Products--Advanced Glycation End Products induce crosslinking of collagen.

Fibrosis occurs when the body’s natural healing process goes awry, creating extra scar tissue that does more harm than good. This process is known as collagen cross-linking. Advanced Glycation End Products (AGEs) induce crosslinking of collagen.

The formation of AGEs throughout the body contributes to the aging of biological macromolecules and tissues. Two extracellular proteins, collagen and elastin, are particularly affected. AGE-related changes to these proteins are believed to contribute to stiffness of blood vessels and the urinary bladder, as well as impaired functioning of the kidneys, heart, retina, and other organs and tissues. High serum AGE levels are significantly associated with accelerated aging, and the impairment of complex psychomotor skills and visual memory in the elderly. Furthermore, damaging Glycation reactions trigger inflammatory signaling, which provoke tissue damage and may cause cancers.

AGEs contribute collagen cross-linking which promotes fibrotic tissue, fibrotic adhesions, fibrotic organs, and collagen fibers in the artery walls of blood vessels to stiffen.
When enzymes attach glucose to collagen, there is a reason for it and a purpose. Nonenzymatic attachment, on the other hand, is a random and unnatural process. Enzymes that control the attachment of glucose are produced by our bodies. Therefore, it is apparent that having high levels of AGEs and having mineral aberrations have a distinct role in nonenzymatic attachment--seeing that when we are low on minerals, we have impaired enzyme activity. Impaired enzyme activity also causes free radicals; free radicals lead to chaotic collagen cross-linking.
Carbon monoxide is known as “the silent killer.” It is considered one of the most poisonous substances to pollute the atmosphere.

It seems that the 60 million metric tons of carbon monoxide the United States puts into the air each year plays a major role in the production of Advanced Glycation End Products. The excess amounts of carbon monoxide we breathe have many adverse effects. One of them is that during Glycation and oxidation, carbon monoxide attaches to proteins, seriously damaging them and playing an important role in the pathology of Advanced Glycation End Products. The more carbon monoxide we breathe—the more Advanced Glycation End Products our bodies produce. Carbon monoxide also binds to hemoglobin in red blood cells, preventing affected cells from carrying a full load of oxygen.

AGEs are also produced and absorbed into the body when meat or cheese is cooked at high temperatures, or foods are sterilized or pasteurized. The results are an indicator of a link between high-temperature cooking, AGEs, and activation of the immune system that triggers inflammation. Excessive intake of fried, broiled, and grilled foods can overload the body's natural capacity to remove AGEs.

Another source of the formation of AGEs is caused by the body's major fuel source, namely glucose. This simple sugar is essential for energy, yet it also can bind strongly to proteins (the body's fundamental building blocks) and form abnormal structures (AGEs) that progressively damage tissue elasticity. Once AGEs are generated, they begin a process that prevents many systems from behaving normally by literally causing tissue to cross-link and become hardened. Alcohol increases the glucose level in the blood to a great extent.

If we are constantly under stress, our cortisol level can remain elevated over long periods. Research now correlates chronically elevated levels of cortisol with blood sugar problems. One consequence of an elevated Glycolysis is the nonenzymatic Glycation of proteins, which triggers chronic low-grade inflammation. Vitro studies have shown that Advanced Glycation End Products (AGEs) trigger inflammatory responses.

Therefore, the disease is cyclical—protein denaturation occurs at sites of inflammation, denatured protein is a more susceptible target for Glycation, and Glycation is a known mediator of inflammation. Furthermore, a sustained and chronic inflammation damages the tissues--as collagen is mending the tissues: it crosslinks. As serum concentration of AGEs is increased, background levels of AGEs are elevated; these molecules contribute to fibrosis.

Imbalanced pH, mineral deficiencies, mineral antagonists, secondary mineral deficiencies; excessive carbon monoxide, protein, carbohydrate, sugar, fructose, and sulfate intake; high temperature cooking and pasteurization; stress and free-radical damage, all are inextricably linked to the formation of early and AGEs. The antagonistic action of molybdenum on copper metabolism is exacerbated when sulfur is high (Got MSM?). Free lysine also accelerates crosslinking markedly.

Vegetarians have higher levels of Advanced Glycation End Products in their blood compared to those who eat meat. This is because an exclusively vegetarian diet lacks carnosine, nature’s most potent anti-Glycating agent.

A new study at Mount Sinai School of Medicine reveals that AGE levels are elevated in the blood of healthy people, and even more so in older individuals than in younger people.

Much to the researchers' surprise, the study also showed that AGE levels could be very high in young healthy people. In fact, high AGE levels found in some healthy adults in this study were on par with AGE levels observed in diabetic patients in their earlier studies. The fact that healthy adults had levels similar to those seen in diabetic patients suggests that early and prolonged exposure to these AGEs will accelerate the onset of diseases.

As Dr. Vlassara cautions, "although the accumulation of AGEs poses an immediate and significant health threat to the older adult population, it is also an invisible, lingering danger especially for younger people and this needs to be addressed.”

Chronic inflammation and AGEs are the 21st century’s silent killers.

Just as minerals compete for assimilation of omega-3s, 6s and 9s compete for assimilation (compete for binding sites). Livestock fed a diet of grain are unnaturally high in omega-6 fatty acids.

When the ratio of the essential fatty acids becomes imbalanced—that is, when the omega-6s overwhelm the omega-3s or vice versa—the body experiences inflammation, which can result in serious chronic inflammatory conditions.

This imbalance between the essential fats is another factor that is wreaking havoc on our health today. Americans get substantially more omega-6 fats than omega-3s. And the more omega-6 fats are consumed, the more the body is unable to utilize the powerfully healthy omega-3s when it does get them. Americans consume 11 to 30 times more omega-6 than omega-3. Omega-3 fatty acids help block inflammation.

Balancing a person’s omegas is used to treat diabetes and menstrual pain; this has been shown to play a part in keeping cholesterol levels low, stabilizing irregular heart beat, and reducing blood pressure. It will help reduce depression, memory loss, and other mental health problems. The brain is 60% fat and balanced omega-3s, 6s and 9s help it to function properly. Researchers have now linked mood and mental function disorders with fatty acid aberrations.

In numerous studies over the years, participants with inflammatory diseases have reported less joint stiffness, swelling, tenderness, and overall fatigue when taking steps to balance omegas. Researchers believe that balanced fatty acids help reduce the risk for breast, prostrate, and colon cancers.

Unlike the acute form of sclera derma and systemic sclera, Advanced Glycation End Products related inflammatory fibrosis can occur undetected because it falls just below the radar of pain and visible swelling. You feel nothing, or you may experience vague, unexplained symptoms for which there are no conventional answers.

AGE related inflammatory fibrosis is a multi-system disorder. There are dozens of AGE related fibrotic diseases, including atherosclerosis, asthma, cirrhosis, scleroderma, systemic sclera, and pulmonary fibrosis. Advanced Glycation End Products and inflammation also affect bones, joints, and muscles. Fibrotic diseases (deadly scar tissue) are in a broad class of diseases that account for an estimated 45 percent of U.S. deaths each year.

There is a silent and undiagnosed pandemic of the Industrial Age; it is AGE related Limited Systemic Sclera and AGE related Limited Sclera Derma plus AGE related CREST (calcium deposits throughout the body). These disorders are polymorphic and heterogenic systemic disorders with inflammation, fibrosis, and vascular damage. It is hardening the skin, muscles, organs, and arteries of those who are casualties of the Industrial Revolution, and they threaten to overburden the healthcare system and destroy many future lives with the most serious chronic, degenerative diseases.
At this time, there is no official consensus on status indices for disease activity, however:

Rev. 9:17-21:
In the same way, in my vision I saw the horses (cars) and their riders. They had fiery red, yellow, and blue armor. The heads of the horses were like the heads of lions (headlights [eyes] and a grille [mouth]). Fire, smoke, and sulfur came out of their mouths. By these three plagues, a third of humanity was killed by the fire, the smoke, and the sulfur, which came out of their mouths.

The power of the horses (cars) was in their mouths (under the hood) and in their tails (rear wheel drive). Their tails had heads on them like snakes (exhaust pipes). They could use them to hurt people. Some people were not killed by these plagues.

They did not change their hearts about the things they had made with their hands--false gods made of gold, silver, brass, stone, and wood--things that cannot see, hear, or walk. These people did not stop worshiping demons. They were not sorry about their murders, their evil magic, the sexual sin they had committed, or their robberies.

Advanced Glycation End Products cause collagen crosslinking—collagen cross linking cause fibrosis—tissue and organs with fibrosis are hard and have impaired blood flow—this causes the tissue to degenerate, it becomes painful to touch—it prematurely dies, while you are still alive! This is a slow antagonizing death.

Rev. 16:10-11--Then the fifth angel poured out his bowl on the throne of the beast, and his kingdom became full of darkness; and they gnawed their tongues because of the pain. And they blasphemed the God of heaven because of their pains and their sores, and did not repent of their deeds.

Diagnostic test for AGE Related Inflammatory Fibrosis.

• Feel the skin on the top of your biceps. Is it thicker? Is it attached to the muscle underneath? Does it roll freely?

• Now feel the skin on the sides of your biceps. Is this skin thicker? Is it attached to the muscle underneath? Does it roll freely?

• How about the skin on your triceps? Is it thick? Is it attached to the muscle underneath? Does it roll freely?

• Pinch and roll the skin (myofascial release technique) all over your body and find any places where the skin is thick, hard, and attached to the tissue underneath it. Are their places where it does not roll freely?

• Now, feel your upper Trapezius and Sternocleidomastoid muscles (upper back and neck muscles). Are they supple or hard down deep?

• Now feel your Quadriceps and IT bands. Are they soft and supple?

• Can you feel your femur? Or does it feel like it is three or four inches thick?

• Press hard and deep on the Sartorius and Vastus Medialis right above the knee about 10 times--is it painful?

• If the skin is thick and attached to the tissue underneath and/or your muscles are hard and/or painful: you have AGE Related Inflammatory Fibrosis.

• This is a progressive and extremely painful disease.

Ecological Apocalypse
Increasing Awareness and Concern of Contamination of our Food and Water

Through pollution, toxic waste, incompetent agriculture practices, and radioactive contamination, our society is seriously damaging our environment. We have increasing incidents of emission of carcinogenic toxins into the air we breathe, the water we drink and bathe in, and the food we eat; this directly threatens human and animal health. We live in a closed system--we all live downstream and downwind.

Toxic substances are of concern now that the entire planet is saturated with pollution and toxic wastes. Persistent organic compounds, volatile organic compounds, heavy metals, chemicals, dioxin’s, PCBs, perchlorate, bisphenol A, monochlorobenzene (chlorobenzene), and hundreds of other toxic wastes have contaminated crops and overall food production. These substances are major concerns; the synergistic effect of these in the food chain means that many crops can cause health problems, and may be almost unmarketable (conveniently, most of these substances have no enforceable safety limits). Many toxins exist in solid-phase and solution forms that can vary greatly in terms of their bioavailability.

There are dioxins and dioxin-like compounds in the food supply. Dioxin and dioxin-like compounds, or DLCs, are found throughout the environment, in soil, water, and air. People are exposed to these unintentional environmental contaminants primarily through the food supply, particularly by eating animal fat in meat, dairy products, and fish.

Dioxins belong to a class of 75 chemicals with similar properties. Dioxins are known to cause cancer, immune suppression, and birth defects in animals. They can act as endocrine disruptors, which mean that they have the ability to mimic or block hormones in the body.

In the early 1990s, the Endometriosis Association found that 79% of a group of monkeys developed endometriosis after being exposed to TCDD dioxin in food during a research study. The severity of endometriosis found in the monkeys was directly related to the amount of TCDD to which they had been exposed. In addition, the dioxin-exposed monkeys showed immune abnormalities similar to those observed in women with endometriosis.

The main sources of dioxins are municipal waste incineration, metal smelting, medical waste incineration, chemical and plastic manufacturing, and pulp/paper bleaching. Dioxins can travel long distances in the atmosphere via air currents. Rain, snow, and dust carry it to the ground, and it eventually enters the food chain when animals, such as cattle, graze on the dioxin-contaminated crops.
According to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, over 90% of our exposure to dioxins is through food, with major sources including beef, dairy products, milk, chicken, pork, fish, and eggs. Dioxins are also passed from mother to developing infant across the placenta and through breastfeeding. Dioxins, PCBs, DDT and other organochlorines are among the 200 plus chemicals found in human breast milk today.

Dioxins and related compounds are highly persistent in the environment and in living organisms. PCB's can remain in human tissue for decades. It is believed that almost all living beings on earth have dioxin-like compounds in their body tissue.

No amount of dioxin exposure can be considered safe, as very small amounts have been associated with impaired developmental, reproductive, neurological, and immune function. Dioxin is one of the most toxic chemicals known to humankind.

Contamination of agricultural products with dioxins has become a serious concern for both consumers and producers. There is an urgent need for the production of dioxin-free agricultural products.

The cancer risk from eating animal products contaminated with dioxin is another clear warning that livestock foods have a direct impact on human food quality and safety.

The health risks posed by the levels of dioxins in human foods and animal feeds have yet to be ascertained by government officials. Therefore, conveniently, governments do not recommend regulatory limits on dioxins or dioxin-like compounds in food or feed (even though PCBs and dioxin are known endocrine disruptors).

An endocrine disruptor is a synthetic chemical that when absorbed into the body either mimics or blocks hormones and disrupts the body's normal functions. This disruption can happen through altering normal hormone levels, halting or stimulating the production of hormones, or changing the way hormones travel through the body, thus affecting the functions that these hormones control. Chemicals that are known human endocrine disruptors include diethylstilbesterol (the drug DES), perchlorate, arsenic, dioxin, PCBs, DDT, Bisphenol A, and some other pesticides. Many chemicals, particularly pesticides and plasticizers, are suspected endocrine disruptors based on limited animal studies.

Bisphenol A (BPA) acts in humans like the hormone estrogen. Numerous studies have linked it to lowered sperm counts, increased risk of infertility, breast and prostate cancer, neurological disorders, and obesity. Bisphenol A is so toxic it is one of 200 substances recently identified by Environment Canada as potentially dangerous to humans and most in need of further study. BPA eliminates brain and behavior sex dimorphisms in mice.

Bisphenol A is one of the highest-volume manufactured chemicals in the world. More than 6.4 billion pounds of BPA is manufactured worldwide annually. There is more than enough data that suggests any exposure to bisphenol A is damaging to human health. The risks of using this toxic chemical far outweigh the benefits, and the government should act to regulate a ban of bisphenol A now.

Derived from petroleum, bisphenol A is a key ingredient in polycarbonate, the translucent hard plastic used in water bottles and many baby bottles. It is also used to make the resins that line most food cans, dental sealants, microwaveable plastics, sports helmets, and CDs. Although scientists have known for years that bisphenol A leeches from these containers into food and beverages, the substance remains widely used throughout North America and Europe.

Bisphenol A is ingested by everyone who eats canned foods or drinks from a can or hard plastic water bottle.

In the most comprehensive U.S. tests for an industrial chemical used to line cans of foods, an independent laboratory found a compound linked to birth defects in more than half of the samples of canned fruit, vegetables, soda, and baby formula from supermarket shelves, according to an Environmental Working Group.

The lab tests conducted for EWG found bisphenol A, or BPA, in 55 of 97 cans of food purchased from major supermarket chains in California, Connecticut, and Georgia.

Low doses of BPA lead to a range of health problems, including birth defects of the male and female reproductive systems in laboratory animals. Despite the growing evidence of risk to human health, there are no limits on the amount of BPA allowed in canned food.

The tests found that pregnant women and infants who eat even a single serving of some canned foods are exposed to unsafe doses of BPA. Of the foods tested—which included many of the canned foods eaten most often by women of childbearing age—BPA levels were highest in canned pasta and soup. Canned infant formula also had high levels.

Over 90 per cent of the more than 150 independent and government-funded studies published in leading medical journals over the past decade say that bisphenol A is damaging to humans even at very low doses. Yet not even one of the dozen major studies funded by the chemical industry has come up with that result.

Chemical industry officials have known that BPA was toxic for 75 years, never the less; they allow it in our food at levels that leave no margin of safety for pregnant women and young children. Scientists have also detected BPA in breast milk, serum, saliva, urine, amniotic fluid, and cord blood.

Monochlorobenzene (Chlorobenzene) is a pollutant from various industrial chemical factories. Chlorobenzenes are widely dispersed in the environment as a result of their industrial usages and emissions from incinerators. Potential health impacts associated with Monochlorobenzene (Chlorobenzene) include cardiovascular or blood toxicity, developmental toxicity, gastrointestinal or liver toxicity, kidney toxicity, neurotoxicity, reproductive toxicity, and skin sensitivity.

An Environmental Working Group analysis of Monochlorobenzene (Chlorobenzene) tests reported by 30,955 public water suppliers in 40 states shows that between 1998 and 2003, 1.4 million people in 48 communities drank water contaminated with Monochlorobenzene (Chlorobenzene).

There have been reports of chlorobenzenes being found in foodstuffs: in meat, fish, vegetables, crude seed oils, fish and shellfish, and in human breast milk.

Pollution of groundwater by fertilizers and pesticides is also a major health concern. Fertilizers are killing fish and other living systems in coastal areas. A complex chain of events is to blame, but it often starts with farmers using synthetic fertilizer that contain nitrogen, potassium, and phosphorus. These horrid fertilizers provide imbalanced nutrients that force crops to proliferate. When they are flushed into rivers and seas, they fertilize microscopic plant life as well. In the presence of excessive concentrations of nitrogen and phosphorus, phytoplankton and algae can proliferate into massive blooms. When phytoplanktons die, they fall to the seafloor, and then they are digested by microorganisms. This process removes oxygen from the bottom water and creates low-oxygen or hypoxic zones (dead zones). Worldwide, annual fertilizer use has climbed to 145 million tons, a tenfold rise over the last half-century. Nitrogen from atmospheric sources—namely, emissions from fossil fuel burning is also a major contributor to dead zones

Worldwide, there are some 146 dead zones. Since the 1960s, the number of dead zones has doubled each decade. Many are seasonal, but some of the low-oxygen areas persist year-round.

Compounding this vicious circle is that we now have an inadequate mineral, trace, and ultra-trace mineral supply to the body due to the depletion of minerals in our agricultural land. We have mineral deficient soil, which creates mineral deficient produce and farm animals, which generates mineral deficient humans.

In 1926, Dr. William Albrecht tested 100 bushels of Kansas wheat for mineral content. Forty-two years later, he tested the wheat from the same farm and found that it took nearly 1,000 bushels to equal the same mineral content of the original 100 bushes he tested in 1926.

There is compelling evidence of widespread mineral nutrient depletion in U.S. farm and range soils. Not all minerals in soils contain nutrient elements; because of this, soils vary widely in their nutrient content. The soils in the U.S. are worse than in any other country in the world because of the extended use of fertilizers and “maximum yield" mass farming methods.

Mineral levels in meat and milk have also plummeted over the last 60 years. The current treatment of animals on American farms is unacceptable for ethical, environmental, and health reasons. The factory farming of cattle, sheep, and poultry is extremely cruel, wasteful, and unhealthy, and a polluting form of agriculture. Animals are kept in overcrowded, unnatural, and unsanitary conditions, causing severe physical and psychological suffering. These conditions also cause diseases, so the animals then have to be given antibiotics. Many animals are given hormones to induce rapid growth.

Animals raised in factory farms are given diets designed to boost their productivity and lower costs. The main ingredients are genetically modified grain and soy that are kept at artificially low prices by government subsidies. To further cut costs, the feed may also contain “by-product feedstuff” such as municipal garbage, stale pastry, chicken feathers, and candy. Until 1997, U.S. cattle were also being fed meat that had been trimmed from other cattle, in effect turning herbivores into carnivores. This unnatural practice is believed to be the underlying cause of BSE or “mad cow disease.”

When it comes to animal production, organic is not enough. We need to be raising animals on their mineral rich species-appropriate diets with clean water.

Few consumers realize that many producers of "organic" or "naturally raised" animal products raise their animals in confinement and feed them grain and tap water---just like the operators of conventional feedlots. Feeding large amounts of mineral deficient grain to a grazing animal decreases the nutritional value of its products whether the grain is organic or conventionally raised. The reason is simple. Compared with grass, grain has far fewer omega-3 fatty acids and vitamin E. Therefore, grainfed animals have fewer of these important nutrients in their meat and dairy products. Grain feeding also interferes with the creation of a cancer-fighting fight called conjugated linoleic acid or CLA. A test by an independent lab determined that milk from one of the largest organic grain-fed dairies had no more omega-3 fatty acids or CLA than milk from ordinary dairies. Similarly, meat from organic grain-fed beef has the same nutritional profile as meat from the largest Kansas feedlot.

The same story holds true for organic but confinement-raised poultry. Their meat and eggs have no more omega-3s or vitamin E than the products you find in the supermarket. Unless the birds are given special supplements along with the grain.

For many consumers, food safety is an even bigger concern than nutrition. Once again, grass feeding offers an important advantage. It has been known for decades that grain feeding makes a cow's digestive tract more acid. Now we know that this acidic environment speeds the growth of potentially dangerous E. coli bacteria and, even worse, makes the bugs more acid-resistant. Alarmingly, these acid-resistant bacteria are much more likely to survive the cleansing acidity of our own digestive juices and make us ill.

Food is seen as something entirely separate from its means and source of production. Many ill-informed people think that as long as they follow a "balanced diet" reflecting a nutritionist's chart of proteins, carbohydrates, and their daily fruit and vegetables that all will be well. Little consideration is given to whether the nutritional quality of our food is affected by the way the crops and animals from which it is derived are raised; and virtually no thought is given to the vitality of the soil or the condition of the water.

Farming has gone through huge changes over the past 60 years. The bulk of our current agriculture consists of large-scale agribusinesses that rely heavily on the use of chemical biocides and fertilizers rather than organic methods. These new high-tech farmers use chemical fertilizers to maximize crop yields, which replaces traditional methods for building soil fertility, such as rotations of different crops and livestock. As a result, there is a noted crucial development linked to the decline in vitamin, enzyme, and mineral levels in food. Exodus 23:11

Advances in plant breeding and management expertise (proliferated insanities) have resulted in crops with far higher yield potential. For example, corn yields of 50 bushels an acre were considered good in the 1930's. Since the 1960's, corn yields over 200 bushels an acre are common. This greatly increased demand by the new crops on the nutrient resources of most soils cannot be sufficiently met by natural release from primary minerals and organic matter.

External fertilization is practiced to compensate for the limitations on the nutrient-supplying power of primary soil minerals relative to the expanding needs of high-yielding plants. However, unless all nutrients removed are accounted for though soil and plant tissue testing, and corrected accordingly via fertilization, deficiency in one or more plant nutrients occurs.

Even before these incompetent agriculture practices depleted the mineral nutrient content of U.S. soils, it had been depleted by other natural factors. The weathering process, soil erosion, and pollution will continue to cause mineral nutrient depletion. In these damaged, aging soils the supply of nutrient rich minerals is limited.

A healthy soil is made up of more than eroded geology; a spoonful can contain more beneficial microbes (bacteria, fungi, protozoa, nematodes and other species) than there are people on the planet. Artificial fertilizers and pesticides significantly reduce the numbers of these microscopic soil inhabitants. A 21-year field trial comparing organic and non-organic farming showed dramatic differences in soil microbiology, with populations 85% higher in the organically managed field than in that treated with artificial chemicals.

Acid rain dissolves soil nutrients much faster than previously believed, posing a threat to future soil productivity, according to a study. The study shows that acid rain accelerated the nutrient-robbing acidification of soils by 38 percent. Soil data was collected over the past 30 years. There was a dramatic increase in acidity and a steady depletion of nutrients over this 30-year period.

Acid rain chemically alters parent minerals that have been physically broken down into small enough particles to create significant surface area. As these minerals are chemically altered, they lose silica and release mineral elements, including mineral nutrient elements required by plants.

Acid rain releases toxic metals and they stunt the growth of trees and other plants and also that of mosses, algae, nitrogen-fixing bacteria and fungi needed for vegetation growth.

Depletion of nutrient bases also creates soil acidity. When soils become acid, some nutrients such as aluminum and manganese become more available, while other nutrients such as phosphorus and molybdenum become less available. In almost all soils, the most abundant available nutrient element was calcium, followed by magnesium. However, when soils become acid those elements are lost. This disrupts plant growth, which directly affects the nutritional value of agricultural crops. Research from many sources has established a direct link between soil quality and nutrition levels in foods and levels of disease resistance in plants and animals.

Soil nutrients can be broken into four basic groups: primary and secondary macronutrients, micronutrients, and ultra-micronutrients.

The primary nutrients are nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium. These major nutrients are usually depleted from the soil first because plants use large amounts for their growth and survival.

The secondary nutrients are calcium, magnesium, and sulfur. Soils in the U.S. are low in calcium and magnesium. Sulfur is usually found in sufficient amounts from the slow decomposition of soil organic matters. However, soil pH is one of the most important soil properties that affect the availability of these nutrients. Secondary macronutrients tend to be less available in soils with low pH.

Micronutrients are those elements essential for nutritionally balanced produce, and are needed in only very small and correct quantities. The micronutrients are boron, copper, iron, chloride, manganese, molybdenum, and zinc.

Ultra-micronutrients are not commonly found in fruits and vegetable produced in damaged soils. Obviously, however, these God-given ultra-micronutrients are essential; although, at this time their functions are not completely understood.

Soil toxicity can be brought about in a number of ways, but typical examples are from municipal or industrial wastes, oil spills, the excessive use of fertilizers, herbicides, and insecticides, or the release of radioactive materials and acidification by acid rain and airborne pollutants. Nitrification of ammonium in the soil also leads to acidification. Acid rain also suppresses the high numbers and diversity of beneficial microbes.

We now have mineral deficient produce and farm animals (laced with toxins) that have unbalanced mineral content. Mineral deficient and imbalanced foods are fundamentally genetically altered; these deficient and imbalanced foods create secondary mineral deficiencies. For our bodies to assimilate the minerals we consume, it is not the amount of minerals that is important, but rather the proportion and presence of other minerals that is most vital.

No matter how much we eat, these foods are starving us! The truth is that most fruits and vegetables today contain only 10% to 30% of the nutritional value they should have (not to mention imbalanced mineral and contaminated water content).

SmartFresh is a chemical used to maintain the fresh appearance of whole fruits and vegetables. SmartFresh (1-Methylcyclopropene) works with the ripening process to dramatically slow down ethylene production and prevent over-ripening and problems associated with aging. The method came under scrutiny by the press during late 2005, and it was revealed that the method is occasionally used to inhibit ripening of fruit by even a year, causing consumers to purchase year-old fruit without being aware of it. Contributing further to this trend is the growing of produce that is harvested and shipped from far away.

The standard nitrogen-phosphorus-potassium fertilizer farmers commonly use is able to restore the soil enough to grow fruits and vegetables that are healthy looking, but are lacking in minerals. Adding to this problem is that most of the produce we eat is picked before it is ripe; these underdeveloped fruits and vegetables are deficient in minerals, enzymes, and vitamins. Vegetables lose some vitamins just by sitting around. It can take weeks (or months) from the time they have been picked until they reach our plate. In two weeks time, 10 to 50 percent of the less stable nutrients may have disappeared. When many of these green fruits and vegetables reach the market they are artificially ripened by exposing them to high concentrations of ethylene gas (because they were picked so green they do not ripen well on their own).

Plants create phytochemicals and plant sterols as produce comes to its peak ripeness on the vine. The reason it is recommended that we eat several servings of fruits and vegetables a day is because of the health-providing benefits of these phytochemicals and plant sterols. The produce we eat today is lacking in these essential elements because the majority of our produce is picked before peak ripeness for transportations means.

Phytochemicals or phytonutrients (anti-oxidants, Flavonoids, and Carotenoids) are substances that plants naturally produce to protect themselves against viruses, bacteria, and fungi and are essential for the next generation of seeds. We have become defenseless, as plants are our only way of getting these essential nutrients.

Solanine is a glycoalkaloid poison found in species of the nightshade family. These plants use a substance called solanine to protect them from being eaten by insects and other living things before they are ripe. It has both fungicidal and pesticidal properties. Potatoes (not sweet potatoes), eggplant, tomatoes, capsicum, peppers, bittersweet, and tobacco contain high levels of solanine. Solanine is present in other edible plants, including apples and Jerusalem cherries. The solanine levels are highest in unripe fruit and vegetables and the solanine levels drop when the produce ripens. It can occur naturally in any part of the plant, including the leaves, fruit, and tubers. It is very toxic even in small quantities. Storage for extended periods increases the glycoalkaloid content. Potatoes that have turned green due to light exposure are unsafe for human consumption due to high levels of solanine. Scientific studies show that nightshades accelerate an inflammatory condition. Solanine interferes with enzymes in the muscles of humans and can cause us to experience pain.
There is no escape. We are consuming mass quantities of genetically modified food. Genetic engineering increases the frequency of the transfer of disease-causing genes across unrelated species of animals and plants. The danger of genetically engineered foods is thus to be found in the technology itself.

The technology of genetic engineering is an unprecedented close alliance between science and industry. Unfortunately, it is the most reductionist science and multinational monopolistic industry at its most aggressive and exploitative. It is bad science and big business working together for big profit, aided and abetted by our governments. They make products that nobody needs and certainly not everybody wants, but they are forcing on us anyway, by refusing to segregate and label the products. They claim to solve problems that reductionist science and the agro- and chemical industries have created in the first place: hunger for many of the world's populations, widespread environmental deterioration, and accumulation of toxic wastes. They displace and marginalize alternative approaches that address social and environmental causes of malnutrition and ill-health, such as poverty and unemployment, and the need for sustainable agriculture that could regenerate the environment, guarantee long-term food security and at the same time conserve indigenous biodiversity. Worst of all, they are pushing a technology that is inadequately researched, and, according to existing knowledge, is inherently hazardous to health and biodiversity.

When we cook vegetables in water some of the nutrient content, especially water-soluble vitamins, including vitamins B and C, and some of the minerals, leach into the surrounding water. Cooking vegetables at high temperatures and for long cooking times degrades vitamins that are more sensitive to heat. In fact, according to the American Dietetic Association, improper preparation can cut the nutrient content of certain fruits and vegetables in half.

The cooking and processing of food destroys all of its enzymes. Since most of the foods we eat are cooked or processed in some way and since the raw foods we do eat contain only enough enzymes to process that particular food, our bodies must produce the majority of the digestive enzymes we require. This is why we recommended that everyone supplement their diet fresh royal jelly.

Enzymes are the energy of life. They are catalysts that participate in virtually every bodily process, and when we have a shortage of enzymes, it can cause a variety of illnesses. Enzymes are responsible for constructing, synthesizing, carrying, dispensing, and delivering the many ingredients and chemicals our body uses in its daily business of living. There are hundreds if not thousands of enzyme processes, which take place in the body. Many are so specific that they are like complex square pegs that need to "fit" into specific square holes in order to carry out their duty. If blood pH is off balance even a little, some important pegs are not "fitting" their respective slots. Enzyme function and thus life itself begins to suffer.

Without enzymes, life could not exist. As we age our bodies' natural production of enzymes decreases. Supplementation with fresh Royal Jelly and Shilajit along with super foods, a proper diet and exercise helps maintain normal enzyme levels, balancing our bodies' own repair mechanisms.

There are three types of enzymes. Our bodies naturally produce two types, digestive and metabolic enzymes, as they are needed, while food enzymes can only be consumed orally.

Metabolic Enzymes speed up the chemical reaction within the cells for detoxification and energy production. They enable us to see, hear, feel, move and think. Every organ, every tissue, and all 100 trillion cells in our body depend upon the reaction of metabolic enzymes and their energy factor. Metabolic enzymes are produced by every living cell. However, the liver, pancreas, gallbladder and other organs play a vital role in their production.

Digestive Enzymes are secreted along the digestive tract to break food down into nutrients and waste. This allows nutrients to be absorbed into the blood stream and the waste to be discarded. Human digestive enzymes include ptyalin, pepsin, trypsin, lipase, protease, and amylase. The body does not make cellulase, an enzyme necessary for proper digestion of fiber, so it must be introduced through the raw foods we eat.

Food Enzymes are introduced to the body through the raw foods we eat and through consumption of supplemental enzyme fortifiers. Raw foods naturally contain enzymes, providing a source of digestive enzymes when ingested. However, raw food (picked ripe) manifests only enough enzymes to digest that particular food, not enough to have any support systemically.
Enzymes are specialized living proteins that enable our body to digest and assimilate proteins, carbohydrates, fats, and plant fibers. Living plant enzymes initiate digestion in the stomach, which is why when we eat plant enzymes it spares our pancreas from doing all of our digestion.
Enzymes help rid the body of the toxic accumulation of undigested food, as well as supporting the body in the elimination of waste products of normal body metabolism and environmental toxins. Enzymes can also cleanse the bowel of putrefying bacteria, parasites, and yeast growths, which flourish when improperly digested proteins and sugars accumulate within the bowel.
Most of the foods we consume are low in nutrients. These foods are making their way into our homes and kitchens where they are further put to death and then fed to our already acidic and malnourished families.

China has flooded the United States with foods unfit for human consumption. Food products come from China where unhygienic farming practices include use of human excrement from farm toilet blocks as fertilizer on vegetables like cauliflower, celery, and cabbages--all grown for export. Chinese farmers also use chemicals that are banned in Western countries--these include Dieldren, DDT and various Organochlorines. (We cannot wash these chemicals off our food because the plant absorbs them during the growing period, so we are playing Russian Roulette with our health.)

Reports in the United States of tainted pet foods, dangerous toys, drugs, fish, cosmetics, and other products from China have led to a spate of recalls. Dried apples preserved with a cancer-causing chemical. Frozen catfish laden with banned antibiotics. Scallops and sardines coated with putrefying bacteria. Mushrooms laced with illegal pesticides.

Government officials say they have discovered candied fruit with 63 times the permitted amount of sweetener; excessive additives and preservatives in nearly 40 per cent of the children’s snacks surveyed; fake human blood protein at hospitals; and food tainted with formaldehyde, illegal dyes, and industrial wax. Industrial oils, acid, cancer-causing chemicals and other dangerous ingredients have also been found in thousands of foods imported from China.

Twenty-one percent of imported seafood in the United States comes from China--of which many are contaminated with carcinogens and antibiotics.
The government recently reported that much of the farmland in China has been destroyed by pollution and that heavy metals contaminate 12 million tons of grain a year. Toxic food scares have become common in China, and increasingly are a worry in the United States as food imports from China grow.

The word on the streets of China’s cities is that bananas from the southern island of Hainan can cause Sars. And that Magician brand instant noodles poisons you because they use oil extracted from human corpses provided by funeral homes. Billions of pounds worth of counterfeit and substandard goods, from snack bars to fake liquor and medicines, to face creams, are produced every year in China.

We need to grow our own food and upgrade our diets and begin to add more super foods and more raw foods. No animal on the planet except man eats cooked food grown in fertilizer. Cooking food destroys vitamins, minerals, enzymes, nucleic acids, chlorophyll, and fats. Eating to much cooked food suppresses the immune system, inhibits the healing process, and literally exhausts the body. As we incorporate super foods, Shilajit, soil based organisms, raw foods, and less cooked food we will find that they will provide us with the balance of living water, nutrients, and fiber our bodies need.

Then we have those who shun meat, dairy products, cooking, etc. Many of these meatless dieters believe that the living and raw foods they eat have enormously high nutrient values. Most of these people are suffering from even worse malnutrition than those who eat meat. Some vegans, raw foodists, and vegetarians look like hyper-stick figures with no muscle mass because of the low-fat, low-protein, and mineral deficient and imbalanced diet, while others become fatties from eating the excess carbohydrate diet.

When our mineral balances are off, our health is off. When our pH and basic metabolic processes are off, it sets up the internal environment that becomes a breading ground for the opportunistic "bugs" - bacteria, viruses, fungi, etc.

Life cannot exist without continuous supplies in adequate amounts of all essential nutrients. If even one nutrient is limited or missing from the nutrient medium or diet of an organism, the organism will suffer and ultimately die prematurely. Thus, nutrient supplies form the basis of all life on earth. Humans are no exception. Indeed, scores of people are dying each year because of a lack of sufficient nutrients to thrive. The magnitude of this crisis in human health is appalling with annually over 50% of all deaths on earth associated with malnutrition (World Health Organization 2003).

The human race faces insurmountable problems if we do not change the practices that threaten the existence of the whole ecosystem. It is time to wake up, return to sanity, and start applying some common sense.
Since over 96% of the American public is not involved in agricultural production, they do not have the agricultural training or access to information to draw conclusions regarding nutrients removed from the soil, fertilizers used, or the condition of the water and soil.

I do not believe that there will ever be methods to replenish the soil of its mineral nutrients and to correct the toxic elements and heavy metals found in water and soil. In the future, most of our produce will be grown in green house hydroponic farms with pure water, living enzymes, and natural 85 to 100 mineral compounds.

This is a call to widen the range of tools and strategies that must be adopted to protect ourselves and produce nutrient-dense and nutrient-balanced food, without toxins and heavy metals.

Chemical Apocalypse

Unknown hazardous chemicals in everyday products are accumulating in human tissue and persisting in the environment without breaking down. That is the gloomy picture emerging from a report authored by Michael Wilson, a UC Santa Cruz graduate and Berkeley research scientist.

Of 80,000 synthetic chemicals that have been registered in the country, less than 10 percent have been tested for their effect on human health. Wilson calls it a "chemical data gap."

Wilson's report asserts the pace and scale of the chemicals produced every day in the United States is already staggering. Each day, the United States produces or imports 42 billon pounds of chemicals – that is the equivalent of 623,000 gasoline trucks each carrying 8,000 gallons, which, if lined up end-to-end, would stretch from San Francisco to Washington and back, the report states. "That's projected to grow four-fold with California expected to grow 50 percent by 2050," Wilson said. "If you think we have problems today, just wait."

Since the 1940s over 10,000 man-made chemicals have entered our daily lives via manufactured foods, vegetables and fruits sprayed with pesticides, detergents, and antibiotic and hormonal residues in foods such as meats and grains. Many of these chemicals are anti-nutrients, reducing the absorption and utilization of nutrients, or promoting nutrient excretion from the body.

Our bodies contain at least 500 measurable chemicals that do not belong there. We exhale between ten and twenty organochlorine compounds with each breath. Dioxin is an organochlorine compound, and the most toxic chemical on Earth. As with DDT and PCB, dioxin accumulates in the fatty tissues of all animals, including the humans. Studies have shown that besides deadly effects as a carcinogen, extraordinarily small amounts of dioxin can disrupt human hormones so as to severely alter our reproductive, nervous and immune systems and offspring development.

Of the 80,000 chemicals being used in the U.S., the EPA has classified 65,000 of them potentially, if not definitely hazardous to human health. Over 6,000 new chemicals are tested in the US each week! Three thousand chemicals have been identified as intentionally added to food supplies and over 600 have been found in drinking water. During food processing and storage, more than 10,000 other compounds can become an integral part of many commonly used foods.

The dangers of Teflon pans and Fluorinated Telomers-Based Products (grease-resistant coatings used on paper food packaging). Fluorinated telomers-based products emit a Chemical that Never Breaks Down, Clings to Human Blood. Breakdown chemicals from these coatings and related sources are now in the blood of 90 percent of Americans.

Perfluorinated chemicals (PFCs) are some of the most persistent synthetic chemicals known, and have health risks ranging from increased cholesterol levels to reproductive and developmental effects to cancer.

In two to five minutes on a conventional stovetop, cookware coated with Teflon and other non-stick surfaces can exceed temperatures at which the coating breaks apart and emits toxic particles and gases linked to hundreds, perhaps thousands, of pet bird deaths and an unknown number of human illnesses each year, according to tests commissioned by Environmental Working Group (EWG).

Non-stick coatings can break down to a chemical warfare agent known as PFIB, and a chemical analog of the WWII nerve gas phosgene.

New tests show that cookware exceeds these temperatures and turns toxic through the common act of preheating a pan, on a burner set on high. In cases of "Teflon toxicosis," as the bird poisonings are called, the lungs of exposed birds hemorrhage and fill with fluid, leading to suffocation. DuPont acknowledges that the fumes can also sicken people, a condition called "polymer fume fever. Neither has the company studied the long-term effects of from PFCs.

The government has not assessed the safety of non-stick cookware. According to a Food and Drug Administration (FDA) food safety scientist: "You won't find a regulation anywhere on the books that specifically addresses cookwares," although the FDA approved Teflon for contact with food in 1960 based on a food frying study that found higher levels of Teflon chemicals in hamburger cooked on heat-aged and old pans.

As a result of the new data showing that non-stick surfaces reach toxic temperatures in a matter of minutes, additionally, we recommend that people completely avoid cookware and heated appliances with non-stick coatings. Alternative cookware includes stainless steel and cast iron.

Most carpets manufactured today are coated with a mixture of stain-resistant fluorochemicals sold under familiar brand names like Stainmaster, Scotchgard, and nearly anything advertised as "nonstick" or "water repellant." These coatings are effective at preventing stains, but at least one of the impurities and breakdown products (perfluorooctanoic acid and similar chemicals) has been identified as a likely human carcinogen and associated with developmental harm in newborn lab animals. There are currently many studies underway looking at the specific effects on humans.
Nitrate is a chemical that enters water from fertilizer runoff, leaching septic tanks, and erosion of natural deposits. Potential health impacts associated with nitrite include cardiovascular or blood toxicity, kidney toxicity, and reproductive toxicity.
Nitrate is one of the most common groundwater contaminants in rural areas. Fertilizer nitrogen that is not taken up by plants, volatilized, or carried away by surface runoff--leaches to the groundwater in the form of nitrate. Septic systems also can elevate groundwater nitrate concentrations because they remove only half of the nitrogen in wastewater, leaving the remaining half to percolate to groundwater.
An Environmental Working Group analysis of Nitrate tests reported by 32,210 public water suppliers in 41 states shows that between 1998 and 2003, 176 million people in 23,704 communities drank water contaminated with Nitrate. In 657 of these communities, tap water was contaminated at levels above health-based thresholds.
Nitrate occurs in the environment, in air, food (particularly in vegetables and fruits) and water, and is produced endogenously. It is also used as a food additive, mainly as a preservative and anti-microbial agent. It is used in foods such as cheese and cheese products, raw and processed meats, edible casings, processed fish and fish products and spirits and liqueurs.
Since most of our produce is grown with potassium, nitrogen, and phosphorous fertilizers, and irrigated with water that is contaminated with nitrate (and about 600 other contaminates), the produce we eat is contains unnaturally high levels of nitrate, potassium, and phosphorous (to mention a few). Synergistically unbalanced and contaminated food will not sustain our health; it will actually poison us.
What are the health effects? Nitrates can react with hemoglobin to reduce the oxygen-carrying capacity of the blood. Nitrates may combine with other substances to form nitrosamines, which are carcinogenic, and it may have an atrophying affect on the adrenal gland.
Short-term: Excessive levels of nitrate in drinking water have caused serious illness and sometimes death. In some parts of the country, beets, turnips, carrots, collard greens and spinach contain large amounts of nitrates, a chemical that can cause an unusual type of anemia (low blood count) in young infants, referred to as methemoglobinemia or blue baby syndrome. Symptoms include shortness of breath and blueness of the skin. The serious illness in infants is due to the conversion of nitrate to nitrite by the body, which interferes with the oxygen-carrying capacity of the blood; blue baby syndrome can be an acute condition in which health deteriorates rapidly over a period of days.
Long-term: Nitrates and nitrites have the potential to cause the following effects from a lifetime exposure at levels above the Maximum Contaminant Level: excessive discharge of urine, increased starchy deposits and hemorrhaging of the spleen.
Tetrachloroethylene is a pollutant from dry cleaning, various industrial factories, road runoff, lawn pesticides, and human waste. Potential health impacts associated with Tetrachloroethylene include cancer, cardiovascular or blood toxicity, developmental toxicity, gastrointestinal or liver toxicity, kidney toxicity, neurotoxicity, reproductive toxicity, respiratory toxicity, and skin sensitivity.
An Environmental Working Group analysis of Tetrachloroethylene tests reported by 31,912 public water suppliers in 42 states shows that between 1998 and 2003, 23.6 million people in 658 communities drank water contaminated with Tetrachloroethylene. In 536 of these communities, tap water was contaminated at levels above health-based thresholds.
Atrazine is a herbicide used on row crops. Potential health impacts associated with Atrazine include cancer, endocrine toxicity, gastrointestinal or liver toxicity, immunotoxicity, neurotoxicity, reproductive toxicity, and skin sensitivity.
An Environmental Working Group analysis of Atrazine tests reported by 22,008 public water suppliers in 41 states shows that between 1998 and 2003, 19.1 million people in 702 communities drank water contaminated with Atrazine. In 345 of these communities, tap water was contaminated at levels above health-based thresholds.
U.S. researchers say excessive air pollution can prevent the lungs of children developing properly, making them more likely to suffer respiratory and heart problems later in life. Children who are subjected to excessive air pollution have a significant decrease in lung function. The study showed there are health effects from childhood exposure to traffic exhaust that can last a lifetime.

Air pollution can contribute to premature death, lung cancer, chronic bronchitis, and heart attacks, according to the American Lung Association. It can also lead to asthma attacks, coughing, wheezing, shortness of breath, and other respiratory and cardiovascular diseases.

Chemical pollution is harming the brains of millions of children. The world is bathed in a noxious mix of industrial chemicals, which are damaging the intellectual potential of the next generation.

Leading international scientists find that exposure to common chemicals during the prenatal period and infancy could cause serious and permanent developmental damage to babies.

Fetal life and early infancy are periods of remarkable susceptibility to environmental hazards. Toxic exposures to chemical pollutants during these windows of increased susceptibility can cause disease and disability in infants, children, and across the entire span of human life. Among the effects of toxic exposures recognized in the past have been congenital malformations and other adverse pregnancy outcomes.

The Environmental Working Group found that American babies are born with hundreds of chemical contaminants in their bloodstreams. Of the 287 chemicals we detected in umbilical cord blood, we know that 180 cause cancer in humans or animals, 217 are toxic to the brain and nervous system, and 208 cause birth defects or abnormal development in animal tests. The dangers of pre- or post-natal exposure to this complex mixture of carcinogens, developmental toxins, and neurotoxins have never been studied.

Chemical exposures in the womb or during infancy can be dramatically more harmful than exposures later in life. Substantial scientific evidence demonstrates that children face amplified risks from their body burden of pollution.

Among the risky chemicals they named are bisphenol A,; the pesticides atrazine, vinclozolin and DDT; lead; mercury; phthalates used in some cosmetics and soft plastics; brominated flame retardants; arsenic, which contaminates some water supplies; and PCBs. Such stress plays an important role in the pathogenesis of many neonatal diseases. Children's vulnerability derives from both rapid development and incomplete defense systems:

• A developing child's chemical exposures are greater pound-for-pound than those of adults.
• An immature, porous blood-brain barrier allows greater chemical exposures to the developing brain.
• Children have lower levels of some chemical-binding proteins, allowing more of a chemical to reach "target organs."
• A baby's organs and systems are rapidly developing, and thus are often more vulnerable to damage from chemical exposure.
• Systems that detoxify and excrete industrial chemicals are not fully developed.
• The longer future life span of a child compared to an adult allows more time for adverse effects to arise.

One in every six children has a developmental disability, such as autism, attention deficit disorder, or cerebral palsy. The risk of having a child with a birth defect is 3 to 4 out of every 100 babies born, according to March of Dimes officials.

The role of low-level pollutants, such as lead, mercury, PCBs, dioxin, bisphenol A, and perchlorate on the growing brain has been recognized for decades. Conversely, scientists from the Harvard School of Public Health say at least 202 chemicals are known to have the capacity to damage the brain and their effects at low levels of exposure are unknown. They say limits for exposure to chemicals should be set for pregnant women and young children, recognizing the unique sensitivity of the developing brain, which is much more susceptible to the toxic effects of chemicals.

It is also being noticed that children suffering from autism are the most common patients for vitamin and mineral deficiency. Generally, children suffering from autism have a vitamin and mineral imbalance. Autism is likely caused by failure of the brain of a fetus to develop properly. This lack of development is likely caused by deficiencies of essential nutrients in the mother's diet, an excess of persistent organic pollutants, volatile organic compounds, heavy metals, acid rain, and the effects of chemical pollution.

For far too long the chemical industry has been allowed to function without any federal oversight. These findings support the need for sweeping reform of the nation's toxic chemical laws.

The Bush Administration has adopted regulations that will dramatically roll back Americans' right to know about chemical hazards in their neighborhoods.

For more than 20 years, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's Toxics Release Inventory (TRI) program has required industrial facilities to report the release, disposal, incineration, treatment or recycling of 650 chemicals covered by the law. The EPA offered no rationale for the proposal other than its desire to ease the regulatory burden on business.

The report found that TRI reporting changes will likely have a significant impact on information available to the public about dozens of toxic chemicals from thousands of facilities in states and communities across the country.

In California alone, it will allow industries to handle almost 600,000 pounds of toxic chemicals a year without telling the public, according to an investigation of federal data by Environmental Working Group (EWG).

The rollback will allow 274 industrial facilities in 30 counties to stop detailed reporting on the use or release of 595,422 pounds of hazardous chemicals a year. In Los Angeles County alone, 247,097 pounds of chemicals a year from 107 facilities will no longer be subject to reporting. In Alameda and Contra Costa counties combined, almost 66,000 pounds from 29 facilities will no longer be reported. In Orange County, more than 58,000 pounds from 27 facilities will no longer be reported.

The rollback will allow 52 California facilities to stop reporting any details of their use or release of toxic chemicals. These facilities will be allowed to handle 69,426 pounds of toxic chemicals a year without public disclosure.

Chemicals for which reporting will be slashed or curtailed detailed are among the most hazardous to human health. The rollback will end annual reporting in California of more than 41,000 pounds of ethylbenzene, 10,000 pounds of styrene, 12,000 pounds of benzene and almost 16,000 pounds of chromium and chromium compounds - all known or suspected carcinogens. It will also eliminate annual reporting for more than 6,200 pounds of chemicals that meet the EPA's criteria for persistent bioaccumulative toxics, or PBTs - chemicals that present the greatest threats to human health and the environment.

The changes would significantly reduce the amount of information about releases of toxic chemicals available to the public and as a result would impair efforts by federal, state, and local governments, workers, firefighters, and citizens to protect Americans and their environment from the harm caused by discharges of toxic chemicals to the air, water, and land. In addition to being contrary to the public interest and sound policy, the proposed changes would violate the Emergency Planning and Community Right-to-Know Act, the Pollution Prevention Act, and the Administrative Procedure Act.

Massive biocide use is a failed policy perpetuated by agribusiness and the chemical industry. These businesses value profits over human and ecological health. The more biocides are used, the more target organisms develop resistance to them, and biological controls are disrupted. Pesticides directly endanger farm workers, neighboring populations, wildlife, and ultimately, consumers. Aerial spraying is particularly dangerous since it results in a wider distribution of the poisons.

The produce ranking was developed by analysts at the not-for-profit Environmental Working Group (EWG) based on the results of nearly 43,000 tests for pesticides on produce collected by the U.S. Department of Agriculture and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration between 2000 and 2004.

The more that scientists learn about the toxicity of pesticides, the more questions are raised about the potential toxic effects on people. Pesticide manufacturers often portray these unresolved scientific issues, and the uncertainty that comes with them, as safety.
Statements like, "There is no conclusive evidence of harm to humans" from exposure to pesticide X are intended to mislead the public into believing that exposures to pesticides and toxic chemicals are without appreciable risks. This is not true. Absence of knowledge is not proof of safety.
Tiny Doses Can Be Toxic to Children
Beyond the narrow confines of regulatory agencies, independent research scientists are beginning to understand the subtle ways in which small doses of pesticides during critical periods of fetal development and childhood can have long lasting adverse effects on people. It is well established that the fetus, infant and small child are typically most vulnerable to the toxic effects of pesticides and toxic chemicals.
These damage assessments confirm that we are dealing with global problems of enormous importance that are being proliferated by megalomaniacs that we cannot trust.

Exposing the Dangers and Ineffectiveness of Vaccines
By Ian Sinclair

In 1871-2, England, with 98% of the population aged between 2 and 50 vaccinated against smallpox, experienced its worst ever smallpox outbreak with 45,000 deaths. During the same period in Germany, with a vaccination rate of 96%, there were over 125,000 deaths from smallpox. (The Hadwen Documents)

In Germany, compulsory mass vaccination against diphtheria commenced in 1940 and by 1945 diphtheria cases were up from 40,000 to 250,000. (Don't Get Stuck, Hannah Allen)

In the USA in 1960, two virologists discovered that both polio vaccines were contaminated with the SV 40 virus, which causes cancer in animals as well as changes in human cell tissue cultures. Millions of children had been injected with these vaccines. (Med Jnl of Australia 17/3/1973 p555)

In 1967, Ghana was declared measles free by the World Health Organization after 96% of its population was vaccinated. In 1972, Ghana experienced one of its worst measles outbreaks with its highest ever mortality rate. (Dr H Albonico, MMR Vaccine Campaign in Switzerland, March 1990)

In the UK between 1970 and 1990, over 200,000 cases of whooping cough occurred in fully vaccinated children. (Community Disease Surveillance Centre, UK)

In the 1970's a tuberculosis vaccine trial in India involving 260,000 people revealed that more cases of TB occurred in the vaccinated than the unvaccinated. (The Lancet 12/1/80 p73)

In 1977, Dr Jonas Salk, who developed the first polio vaccine, testified along with other scientists, that mass inoculation against polio was the cause of most polio cases throughout the USA since 1961. (Science 4/4/77 "Abstracts”)

In 1978, a survey of 30 States in the US revealed that more than half of the children who contracted measles had been adequately vaccinated. (The People's Doctor, Dr R Mendelsohn)

In 1979, Sweden abandoned the whooping cough vaccine due to its ineffectiveness. Out of 5,140 cases in 1978, it was found that 84% had been vaccinated three times! (BMJ 283:696-697, 1981)

The February 1981 issue of the Journal of the American Medical Association found that 90% of obstetricians and 66% of pediatricians refused to take the rubella vaccine.

In the USA, the cost of a single DPT shot had risen from 11 cents in 1982 to $11.40 in 1987. The manufacturers of the vaccine were putting aside $8 per shot to cover legal costs and damages they were paying out to parents of brain damaged children and children who died after vaccination. (The Vine, Issue 7, January 1994, Nambour, Qld)

In Oman between 1988 and 1989, a polio outbreak occurred amongst thousands of fully vaccinated children. The region with the highest attack rate had the highest vaccine coverage. The region with the lowest attack rate had the lowest vaccine coverage. (The Lancet, 21/9/91)

In 1990, a UK survey involving 598 doctors revealed that over 50% of them refused to have the Hepatitis B vaccine despite belonging to the high risk group urged to be vaccinated. (British Med Jnl, 27/1/1990)

In 1990, the Journal of the American Medical Association had an article on measles which stated:
“Although more than 95% of school-aged children in the US are vaccinated against measles, large measles outbreaks continue to occur in schools and most cases in this setting occur among previously vaccinated children." (JAMA, 21/11/90)

In the USA, from July 1990 to November 1993, the US Food and Drug Administration counted 54,072 adverse reactions following vaccination. The FDA admitted that this number represented only 10% of the real total, because most doctors were refusing to report vaccine injuries. In other words, adverse reactions for this period exceeded half a million! (National Vaccine Information Centre, March 2, 1994)

In the New England Journal of Medicine July 1994 issue, a study found that over 80% of children under 5 years of age who had contracted whooping cough had been fully vaccinated.

On November 2nd, 2000, the Association of American Physicians and Surgeons (AAPS) announced that its members voted at their 57th annual meeting in St Louis to pass a resolution calling for an end to mandatory childhood vaccines. The resolution passed without a single "no" vote. (Report by Michael Devitt)

"If vaccines are ineffective, then whether they are safe or not becomes totally irrelevant."
The United States legal standard applied to vaccines defines them as "unavoidably unsafe products that are quite incapable of being made safe for their intended and ordinary use". The reason why vaccines are unsafe, or in other words harmful, is that they are made up of chemicals and other elements that are poisonous to the body.
Some of these chemicals and elements include formaldehyde, which is commonly used to embalm corpses and is a known carcinogen (capable of causing cancer), thiomersal, a derivative of mercury which is a toxic heavy metal, aluminum phosphate which is a toxin used in deodorants. Other toxic ingredients include phenol (carbolic acid), alum (a preservative), and acetone which is a volatile solvent and a deadly poison used in fingernail polish remover.
Vaccines contain not only poisonous chemicals but also foreign proteins such as chick embryo, calf serum, rabbit brain tissue and monkey kidney cells. These foreign proteins can trigger numerous allergic and inflammatory reactions and can produce anaphylactic shock in susceptible infants.
When these vaccine ingredients enter the child's bloodstream (either through injection or taken orally), the child's body will take immediate action to eliminate these poisons either through the normal organs of elimination or through acute reactions such as fever, swelling or skin rashes. As long as these latter reactions are not suppressed through drugs, it is possible for the child's body to eliminate these vaccine poisons thereby ensuring that no long-term damage will occur.
However, should the child have insufficient vitality to mount an eliminative reaction, or should the eliminative reaction (fever, swelling, skin rash) be suppressed with drugs, then the vaccine poisons will be retained within the body's tissues. It is the retention of these vaccine poisons that, in susceptible infants, can trigger or at least contribute to the development of illnesses such as: juvenile diabetes, autism, asthma, neurological disorders, leukemia, and even cot deaths.
In many children, the retention of vaccine poisons within the body may not cause any acute or noticeable symptoms, but it will cause a lowering of the child's vitality, which in turn, weakens and impairs its intellectual, creative, and imaginative powers, its physical energy and strength, and all of its internal metabolic functions and immune activities. What this means is that the child will operate at a level well below its true potential.
The toxic build-up within the child's body and the subsequent depletion of its vitality through vaccines, drugs, fluoridated water, food additives, processed foods, pesticide residues, atmospheric pollutants, electromagnetic radiation and other adverse factors in the lifestyle makes the child more susceptible to chronic disease at an earlier age. It is worth noting that the dramatic rise in childhood cancer, autism, juvenile diabetes, asthma, and neurological disorders over the past fifty years, has directly coincided with the era of drugs, vaccines, fast foods, malnutrition, and chemical poisons in our food, water, and environment.

Water: A Clear and Present Danger

Clean drinking water is something that the public has pretty much taken for granted for the past hundred years. The public has little idea -- perhaps understandably – just how contaminated our drinking water has become. Our environment is changed, new pathogens are emerging, drinking-water systems are aging, and governments seem more interested in ensuring business in the global marketplace than in ensuring the safety and health of our citizens.

There are hundreds of agricultural pollutants, including pesticides and fertilizer, industrial pollutants including plasticizers, solvents, and propellants. Copper and lead pipes along with chemicals added to aid in the coagulation of water can be of great concern to drinking water pollution.

A National Assessment of Tap Water Quality found 260 contaminants in our nation’s tap water; 141 of these contaminants have no enforceable safety limits. Of the 141 unregulated contaminants utilities detected in water supplies between 1998 and 2003, 52 are linked to cancer, 41 to reproductive toxicity, 36 to developmental toxicity, and 16 to immune system damage, according to chemical listings in seven standard government and industry toxicity references. Despite the potential health risks, any concentration of these chemicals in tap water is legal, no matter how high.

However, the EPA’s own scientists have identified 600 chemicals in tap water formed as by-products of disinfection—they tracked 220 million pounds of 650 industrial chemicals discharged to rivers and streams annually. They also spearheaded research on emerging contaminants after the U.S. Geological Survey found: 82 unregulated pharmaceuticals, hormones, medications, and residues of consumer products in rivers and streams across the country. Intensive use of antibiotics in human and veterinarian medicine and in industrial farming (food additives) has resulted in the transport of significant quantities of the active ingredients to environmental waters. All told, EPA has set safety standards for fewer than 20 percent of the many hundreds of chemicals that it has identified in tap water.

By failing to clean up rivers and reservoirs that provide drinking water for hundreds of millions of Americans, EPA and the Congress have forced water utility companies to decontaminate water that is polluted with industrial chemicals, factory farm waste, sewage, pesticides, fertilizer, and sediment. In its most recent national Water Quality Inventory EPA found that 45 percent of lakes and 39 percent of streams and rivers are "impaired"—unsafe for drinking, fishing, or even swimming, in some cases. Even after water suppliers filter and disinfect the water, scores of contaminants remain, with conventional treatment regimes removing less than 20 percent of some contaminants. By failing to set tap water safety standards expeditiously or require and fund comprehensive testing, EPA allows widespread exposures to chemical mixtures posing known risks to human health.
The human body is about two-thirds water. It is important to drink pristine water with the proper pH. The pH of water varies according to amounts of minerals and contamination. Pure water (without minerals) has a pH of 7.0.
Acid rain is produced when nitrous oxide, sulphur dioxide, and carbon dioxide gas in the upper atmosphere react with water particles to produce nitric acid, sulphuric acid, and carbonic acid respectively. Unpolluted rainfall normally has an acidic pH of about 6.5 to 6.8, whilst acid rain has a pH that varies from 4.1 to 5.5.
Rainwater was naturally slightly acidic because it contained a small amount of dissolved carbon dioxide gas. This forms a small amount of carbonic acid. Acid rain contains abnormally high levels of carbonic acid (from the excessive amounts of carbon dioxide released in the atmosphere from burning fossil fuel).
The word equation is:
Carbon dioxide + water = carbonic acid
When we burn fossil fuels (especially coal), sulphur dioxide is made and released into the air. When sulphur dioxide dissolves in rainwater, it makes sulphuric acid.
Sulphur dioxide + water = sulfuric acid
Sulphur Dioxide reacts with a wide range of substances found in food, including various essential vitamins, minerals, enzymes and essential fatty acids.
Sulfuric acid is actually a mixture of acids in high concentrations. Sulfuric acid is much stronger than carbonic acid. It is extremely corrosive and it causes damage to rocks, animals, and plants.
Sulfuric acid can cause severe burns to all body tissue and may be fatal if swallowed or contacted with skin. It is harmful if inhaled; it affects teeth; it is a cancer hazard. Strong inorganic acid mists containing sulfuric acid can cause cancer.
Nitrous oxides react with water vapor to form nitric acid. Nitric acid is a highly corrosive and toxic acid that can cause severe burns.
Nitrous oxides + water = nitric acid
Nitric acid is a cancer-causing agent. It is also a powerful dehydrating agent, so powerful that much of the damage it does to the human body is because it pulls water even out of other molecules in chemical reactions.
Apart from emissions of sulphur dioxide and nitrogen oxides from the combustion of fossil fuels, there are also other substances that contribute to acid rain formation. These include hydrochloric acid and organic carboxylic acids. These organic acids include acetic acid and formic acid and are formed when volatile organic compounds are oxidized in the air.
Formic acid is readily metabolized and eliminated by the body. Nonetheless, some chronic effects have been documented. Some animal experiments have demonstrated it to be a mutagen, and chronic exposure may cause liver or kidney damage. Another possibility with chronic exposure is development of a skin allergy that manifests upon re-exposure to the chemical.
The carbonic acid in rainwater also exists in natural healthy river water as long the temperature remains at 4 degrees C. Natural levels of carbonic acid in rainwater help to create an ionic solution of minerals within the soil.
When acid rain falls on to the soil, it is taken up into plants and trees. This can cause some plants to die as they cannot live in acidic conditions. Acid rain can wipe out large areas of forest. When it falls into lakes, it causes the acidity of the lakes water to increase; this can cause some fish and other animals to die.
Acid rain can also cause damage to certain building materials and historical monuments. Acid rain can cause erosion on ancient and valuable statues and has caused considerable damage. This is because the sulfuric acid in the rain chemically reacts with the calcium in the stones (limestone, sandstone, marble and granite) to create gypsum, which then flakes off. Acid rain also causes an increased rate of oxidation for iron.
One of the many serious impacts of acid rain is on forests and soils. A lot of harm is caused when sulfuric acid falls to the earth as rain. Nutrients in the soil, which plants and animals need to survive, are washed away. All of the sulphur dioxide is not turned into sulfuric acid, and in fact, lots of it can float in the atmosphere, move over to another area, and return to the soils, still as sulphur dioxide; these gases can then clog up the leaves of the plants and stop them from making their own food using sunlight (photosynthesis).
Soil biology can be seriously damaged by acid rain. Some tropical microbes can quickly consume acids, but other types of microbe are unable to tolerate a low pH and are killed. The enzymes of these microbes are denatured (changed in shape so they no longer function) by the acid. The hydronium ions of acid rain also mobilize toxins and leach away essential nutrients and minerals from the soil.
Most rain, purified, spring, and bottled waters now have a pH of 5.5 to 4.2 (when you remove the minerals that mask the acid in the water). Consuming nitric acid, carbonic acid, sulphuric acid, and formic acid at these levels is consuming poison.
Bottled water gives consumers the illusion of buying themselves out of "acid rain or dirty water.” Despite what water marketers would have us believe, bottled water faces less stringent regulation than tap water.
Normal adult humans eating Western diets already have chronic, low-grade metabolic acidosis, the severity of which is compounded in part by the consumption of acid rain. To prevent or reverse age-related consequences of such acidosis (e.g., bone and muscle loss), methods are needed for regulating pH. Because nitric acid, carbonic acid, sulphuric acid, and formic acid at these levels change the pH of the human body, we must eliminate them from the water we drink. Distilling water or running it through reverse osmosis will not remove the acid from the water; it must be ionized and then put through reverse osmosis.
There are recent studies that point out that drinking distilled water, water run through reverse osmosis, or any water containing these acids, over long periods can be harmful to our health. Consumption of acids at these levels in water is not natural.
There are many bogus claims about ionized water having a high pH. Pure water has a pH of 7.0. Water ionizers do remove most of the acids; however, you get a false pH reading from the ionized minerals (smaller minerals [organic and inorganic]).
We do not recommend habitually drinking crude city tap water, filtered water, distilled water, or bottled water. Even if the water appears to have a high pH it is almost for sure a false pH reading due the mineral content (organic and inorganic) and it is still more likely than not to be loaded with acids. Alkalizing drops do not change the pH of the water they just give it a false pH reading; the acids are still there. These acids will still play havoc with the human body. Furthermore, most water contains many particles, including toxic heavy metals, inorganic hard-to-assimilate minerals, nitrates, sulfates, pesticides, cancer-causing agents, undesirable bacteria, viruses, fungi, parasites, and taste-and-odor contaminants.

Chlorine the Paradox -- By Barrie Carlsen

Formerly considered safe, now confirmed deadly.

Although chlorine has essentially eliminated the risks of waterborne diseases such as typhoid fever, cholera, and dysentery, we now know that serious health problems arise when chlorine is ingested. Chlorine finds its way into your body though drinking water, swimming pools, and through your skin and respiratory system by bathing and breathing in chlorine fumes created in a hot shower or bath.

Though it has been promoted for decades as safe, it is a highly toxic gas with a pungent odor, which is used in many processes.

Cancer-fighting nutrients become deadly when combined with chlorinated tap water. It has been discovered that some of the most valuable nutrients and essential anti-disease phytochemicals form cancer-causing substances when combined with chlorinated tap water. This includes familiar foods like soy, fruits, vegetables, tea, many health products, and even some vitamins.

Recently, a joint study was undertaken in Japan by research scientists at the National Institute of Health Sciences and Shizuoka Prefectural University. They determined that natural substances originating from these foods react with chlorinated tap water, forming dangerous compounds, named MX, which stands for "unknown mutagen". They are similar to well-known and more easily detected cancer-causing THMs (trihalomethanes).

The Japanese scientists specifically mentioned that MX is created by the reaction of chlorine with plant phytochemicals such as catechins, which are contained in tea and flavonoids (found in fruit). To make things worse, it is certain that the fresh plant foods we eat react even with the chlorinated tap water we drink with our meals. This means that fresh fruits, cooked and raw vegetables, green tea, black tea, herb teas, soy products, vitamin pills, various health supplements, and even some pharmaceutical drugs, in combination with chlorinated water can all be implicated in cancer. These foods contain a significant amount of phytochemicals including hormones, sterols, fatty acids, polyphenols, and ketones-- the subgroups that include flavins, flavonoids, flavones, tannins, catechins, quinones, isoflavones and tocopherols.

These compounds are some of the most valuable and promising anti-cancer nutrients found in our foods and health supplements. Coenzyme Q10 is a quinone, vitamin B-2 is a flavin, vitamin E is a tocopherol, citrus fruit bioflavonoids like hesperidin, quercetin, and rutin are all flavonoids. Green tea contains catechins, phenols, tannins, and isoflavones. Potentially all of these substances, and many more, are subverted by chlorination.
The deadly cancer-causing agents that are produced are extremely toxic in infinitesimal amounts, so small and obscure that they are extremely difficult to detect. Very little chlorine is required. When the concentrations of phytochemicals are high, such as in health supplements or even fruits and vegetables coming from more fertile soil, the deadly combination with chlorination intensifies.

It has been known by the water treatment and chemical industries for many years that chlorine reacts negatively with natural organic compounds. These industries call the compounds DBPs (disinfection by-products) and they are known to cause cancer in populations whose drinking water contains them. THM, the most commonly known DBP, causes a high incidence of bladder cancer and causes spontaneous abortion of fetuses.

In 1997, scientists in Finland determined that MX was 170 times more deadly than other known toxic byproducts of chlorination, and was shown in laboratory studies to damage the thyroid gland as well as to cause cancerous tumors.

Chlorine, fluorine, and fluoride are chemically related to iodine and compete with it for assimilation, blocking iodine receptors in the thyroid gland. Dioxin, a dangerous chlorine-related compound found throughout the food chain, is one cause of low thyroid. Rather than feeding the body’s endocrine glands, including the thyroid, as nature intended, the hormone-like nutrients found in food are altered by chlorine and turned into mutagens that do permanent damage to the glands. Also, the serious deficiency of valuable phytochemicals in modern diets may be responsible for undernourished hormonal functions in those with otherwise healthy glands.

To protect yourself from the destructive effects, avoid chlorine and fluorine. Steer clear of coffee and tea that have been prepared with chlorinated tap water (most restaurants prepare coffee and tea with tap water). Drink only Pristine Water. Install a water filter system in your house, or at the very least install water filters on your shower.

To help rid yourself of the chlorine in your system and get the intended benefit from your food and nutritional supplements, you may want to try humic extracts (especially fulvic acids), that are said to provide natural chelation properties. Chelation means that the chemicals actually bond with or "pick up" the toxins. They detoxify the liver and the digestive tract by attaching to toxic build-up, including heavy metals and chlorination byproducts, and then disarm, neutralize, and remove these toxins as waste products. Fulvic acids also work as nature’s most powerful antioxidants, neutralizing dangerous free radicals, and supplying hormone-stimulating micronutrients.
The chlorine issue should come as no real surprise to any biochemist. Chlorine has been combined with many other normally safe organic substances to form some of the most powerful deadly toxins known, such as dioxin, DDT, and PCBs. The bottom line is that chlorine is the real culprit in disintegrating health, not the substances with which it reacts.

As this message spreads, it will no doubt shake the very foundations of the chlorine and water treatment industries, let alone the government agencies that are implicated along with them. There certainly should be cause for serious alarm within the nutritional supplement and food industries, as well as those segments of the medical industry that might awaken to the problem.

This message is of utmost importance to the public, because chlorine, acid rain, and depleted dead soil will, in the near future, be exposed as a major cause and contributor to cancer and degenerative disease. Chlorine and acid rain will also be found to be responsible for damaging the body’s immune and hormonal systems by mutating the food-based plant estrogens and phytochemicals that support those systems.

Cancer is the second leading cause of death in the US. According to the National Cancer Institute, about 1,228,600 new cancer cases were expected to be diagnosed in the year 2000. Since 1990, approximately 11 million new cancer cases have been diagnosed.

In the year 2000, about 564,800 Americans were expected to die of cancer, more than 1,500 people a day. Cancer is the second leading cause of death in the U.S., exceeded only by heart disease.

Breast cancer is an epidemic in this country. One in every nine American women will face breast cancer. Every three minutes, a woman is diagnosed, and every 13 minutes, a woman dies from the disease. The American Cancer Society estimates more than 200,000 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in 2006, and more than 40,000 will die from the disease. In addition to invasive breast cancer, 61,980 new cases of in situ breast cancer are expected to occur among women during 2006.

Fluoride is a trace mineral. Fluoride sources are not at all common and the fluoride mineral is not found in many of the foods that we eat.

Fluoride is added to drinking water for the purpose of medication (to prevent tooth decay). Fluoride is a cumulative toxin that can alter accretion and resorption of bone tissue. It also affects the homeostasis of bone mineral metabolism. Fluoride has been tied to bone cancer and osteoporosis. Babies exposed to fluoride are at high risk of developing dental fluorosis - a permanent tooth defect caused by fluoride damaging the cells that form the teeth. Other tissues in the body may also be affected by early-life exposures to fluoride. According to a recent study fluoride may damage the developing brain, causing learning deficits and other problems. It has also been suggested that high fluoride doses can cause secondary hyperparathyroidism and subsequent calcium deficiency.

Some forms of fluoride are used in high concentrations to kill rats and crop-eating insects. Municipal employees who add fluoridation chemicals to public water systems must wear protective clothing and respirators. Industrial workers regularly exposed to fluorine, the gas form of fluoride, have suffered skin, lung, and gastrointestinal problems; it has even been fatal for some.

An Urgent Wake-Up Call to All Consumers
We need to take care of this world and its inhabitants. It is that simple. We need to reexamine our priorities in this world. Those priorities are not centered on money or profit, but love, wisdom, reason, and responsibility.

Unfortunately, it has been proven beyond doubt that almost everyone in the United States suffers from malnutrition and the effects of pollution. Obtaining pristine water and uncontaminated food that contains balanced levels of vitamins, minerals, and enzymes is virtually impossible to the everyday consumer.

Some of the most unthinkable tragedies in history are taking place at a tremendous expense to our health. Billions of people are in jeopardy, and many are suffering and dying needlessly. The time has come to expose these deadly injustices, and provide immediate and concrete solutions. Anyone willing to carefully read, study, and ponder the facts presented throughout this research database will awaken to this terrible situation and realize that our health and the health of future generations have been put on a perilous course headed for disaster.

Astonishing parallels exist that point to inter-related common causes, most of which will become obvious even to the casual reader. The answers are relatively simple, yet a valiant new breed of advocate will be required to champion the cause because ignorance, greed, malnutrition, and power have seriously corrupted conventional institutions and agencies.

Many of us grew up with a limited understanding of health. We tend to view health as a phenomenon of the body, disconnected from mental or spiritual events; as such, many people pay little attention to their physical health while focusing on other areas of human experience.

We now know that physical health helps control the state of our mind, emotions, and spirit; this has a direct impact on both our health and our spirituality.

You can get cars, cigars, and candy bars; anti-depressants and stimulants; Botox injections, hormone replacement and plastic surgery; chemotherapy, dialysis, and brain surgery; exotic lures and pacifiers--airplanes, helicopters, and million dollar mansions. You can travel around the world or go to outer space if you have enough money. All the while, no matter how much money you have, it is impossible to get uncontaminated nutrient-dense and nutrient-balanced food, pristine water, or ample amounts of oxygen. Go figure—our cells need, nutrients, water, and oxygen for regeneration.
You can trace almost every sickness, every disease, and every ailment to nutritional and pH aberrations, and a lack of oxygen at the cellular level--which is compounded by over-indulging, sloth, pollution, and unhealthy choices.

We spend billions, and 100’s of billions of dollars on medical breakthroughs and things that pollute the earth and almost nothing on prevention or regeneration.

Simultaneously, our bodies and respiratory systems struggle from the same assault from toxic amounts of tar, acid, smoke, rubber, carbon, hydrocarbons, toxic heavy metals, and bacteria and viruses that thrive in a low oxygen environment.

Drugs, chemicals, carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, and high nitrogen content in our food and water supply reduce the oxygen carrying capacity of the blood.

Chronic metabolic acidosis can require up to 50% of our oxygen to be utilized in defense rather than energy production. A diet of processed food (i.e. junk foods) requires copious amounts of oxygen for metabolism. An ounce of alcohol coursing through bloodstream further impedes the blood's ability to carry oxygen.

Can you perceive the synergetic effects of acidic, chlorinated, and unoxygenated water with no bicarbonate; nutritional and pH aberrations (from intensive farming, irresponsible agricultural practices, and pollution); oxygen aberrations (a few decades ago, we had 35 percent environmental oxygen in the atmosphere to breathe—oxygen in our atmosphere has diminished to as little as 12-13% in some large cities—an average of 19 to 21% by volume overall); 60 million metric tons of carbon monoxide that the United States alone dumps into the air each year; anaerobic microorganisms that can attack and infiltrate cells restricting blood and oxygen supply.

To carry the point a step further, the twin impact of lower oxygen and exposure to a higher level of carbon dioxide is worth considering. Aggressive behavior can be one of the side effects of breathing air with a higher than normal level of carbon dioxide.

Everyone’s judgment, memory, and thought processes have been degraded significantly. Yet the masses are unaware of the impairment, feeling fine in both judgment and performance. A great deal of the “Sheep Led to Slaughter Syndrome” and “Advanced Glycation End Products Related Inflammatory Fibrosis” is attributed to nutritional and pH aberrations and hypoxia (hypoxia is a state of oxygen deficiency in the body, which is sufficient to cause an impairment of function).

ENTROPY
(The Inevitable and Steady Deterioration of a System or Society.)

Crime, violence, drug abuse, sexually transmitted diseases, and other corrosive factors are escalating exponentially. In 2005, in the United States there were an estimated 16,692 people murdered, 1,390,695 violent crimes, and 14,094,186 arrests occurred for all offenses other than traffic violations.

In the year 2000, about nine percent of murders in the U.S. were committed by youth under 18. Youth under the age of 18 accounted for about 15% of violent crime arrests in 2001. One national survey found that for every teen arrested, at least 10 were engaged in violence that could have seriously injured or killed another person. About one in three high school students say they have been in a physical fight in the past year, and about one in eight of those students required medical attention for their injuries. More than one in six students in grades six to ten say they are bullied sometimes, and more than one in twelve say they are bullied once a week or more.

Suicide among our nation's youth has increased dramatically over the years, and is now the second leading cause of death in teenagers today. Some studies suggest that fully 25 percent of adolescent children consider suicide at some point.

Although youth violence has always been a problem in the United States, the number of deaths and serious injuries has increased dramatically as more and more youngsters join gangs, carry guns, and other weapons.

There are at least 21,500 gangs and more than 731,000 active gang members in the United States. Gangs conduct criminal activity in all 50 states and U.S. territories. Although most gang activity is concentrated in major urban areas, gangs also are proliferating in rural and suburban areas of the country as gang members flee increasing law enforcement pressure in urban areas or seek more lucrative drug markets. Gang proliferation is threatening society in general.

According to a 2001 Department of Justice survey, 20 percent of students aged 12 through 18 reported that street gangs had been present at their school during the previous 6 months. More than a quarter (28%) of students in urban schools reported a street gang presence, and 18 percent of students in suburban schools and 13 percent in rural schools reported the presence of street gangs. Public schools reported a much higher percentage of gang presence than private schools.

Street gangs, outlaw motorcycle gangs, and prison gangs are the primary distributors of illegal drugs on the streets of the United States. Gangs also smuggle drugs into the United States; they also produce and transport drugs within the country.

Large street gangs readily employ violence to control and expand drug distribution activities, targeting rival gangs and dealers who neglect or refuse to pay extortion fees. Members also use violence to ensure that members adhere to the gang's code of conduct or to prevent a member from leaving.

Authorities throughout the country report that gangs are responsible for most of the serious violent crime in the major cities of the United States. Gangs engage in an array of criminal activities including assault, burglary, drive-by shooting, extortion, homicide, identification fraud, money laundering, prostitution operations, robbery, sale of stolen property, and weapons trafficking.

To add to the chaos the television, movie, and music industries which are making billions of dollars promoting unbridled orgies of murder, dismemberments, shootings, stabbings, and gigantic explosions in a never-ending series of explicit acts implying that adultery, fornication, and homosexuality are not only acceptable—but worthy goals.
Is it any surprise that premarital sex is normal behavior for the vast majority of Americans? More than nine out of 10 Americans, men and women alike, have had premarital sex, according to a new study.
The United States also has one of the highest rates of sexually transmitted diseases of all industrialized countries in the world. Sexually transmitted diseases affect one in four U.S. citizens over a lifetime. These numbers reveal that one out of every four people in the U.S. is at risk for HIV at one point in their lives.
As of September 2000, more than 65 million Americans were infected with one or more STD's and over 56 million Americans had an incurable STD other than HIV. There are an estimated 15 million new STD infections in the U.S. annually, a quarter of them among teenagers. More than 100,000 New Yorkers have HIV or AIDS, and AIDS is the third-leading cause of death among New Yorkers under 65.

The U.S. teen birth rate is the highest among industrialized countries. According to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, about half of the approximately 5.4 million pregnancies in the United States each year are unintended.

Get to know the facts. Chlamydia is currently the most common STD, and now there is LVG Chlamydia, which is incredibly hard to diagnose.
Health officials estimate that more than 50 percent of sexually active women and men will be infected with one or more types of genital warts in their lifetimes. One in four U.S. women ages 14 to 59 is infected with the sexually transmitted virus that in some forms can cause cervical cancer, according to the first broad national estimate. Women aged 20 to 24 had the highest overall HPV prevalence in the study, 44.8 percent. Prevalence increased each year from ages 14 to 24, then dropped off gradually, confirming that young, sexually active women face the greatest risk of infection.

An estimated one million Americans have HIV. Around the world, over 100 million persons contract an STD annually. Add to this another five million intravenous drug users at high-risk for HIV around the world.
Opium production in Afghanistan, which provides more than 90 percent of the world's heroin, broke all records in 2006, reaching an historic high (despite ongoing U.S.-sponsored eradication efforts). In addition to a 26 percent production increase over past year (for a total of 5,644 metric tons), the amount of land under cultivation in opium poppies grew by 61 percent.
Coca cultivation is higher than previously estimated. The trafficking of illicit drugs such as cocaine, heroin, marijuana, methamphetamine, and MDMA (the leading drug threats to the United States) is undergoing strategic shifts in response to sustained and effective international and domestic counter-drug efforts. These changes are the shifting of cocaine and methamphetamine production trends, the increasing influence of Mexican and Asian criminal groups in domestic drug distribution, and the rising availability of more potent forms of methamphetamine. The production of high potency marijuana in Canada and the United States by Mexican and Asian criminal groups has been a leading contributor to rising marijuana potency throughout the United States.
Rates of pharmaceutical drug abuse exceed that of all other drugs except marijuana, resulting in a high number of pharmaceutical overdose deaths annually.
Is their any wonder why HIV infection is rising in every region of the world? There were 4.3 million people infected with HIV this year, with a heavy concentration among young people. Over 40 million adults and children are infected with HIV. AIDS is currently ranked as the fourth most common cause of death worldwide. Within the next 25 years, AIDS is set to be the third most common cause of death worldwide. AIDS currently accounts for about 2.8 million deaths every year, but could near 120 million by 2030.
Antiretroviral treatment (ARV) is helping spread HIV. Almost everyone in the world knows that HIV is a highly infectious sexually transmitted disease that is spread through sexual contact and/or injection drug use. The vast majority of people with HIV knowingly engaged in high-risk behavior after being warned that such behavior would inevitably lead to becoming infected with HIV. Now we give free ARV drugs to the very same people who ignored warnings about high-risk behavior. What is going to stop them from more high-risk behavior throughout their ARV extended lifetimes? Unless these people receive extensive counseling that leads to becoming “Born Again,” precious resources are being misappropriated; inadvertently fuel is being added to the fire. “Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit”, says the Lord.
One of the goals of Satan is to destroy as many people as he can, and there are many ill informed and bleeding hearts that knowingly and unknowingly are helping him carry out his plans.
Overall, the researchers predict that in three decades, the causes of global mortality will be strikingly similar worldwide; apart from the prevalence of AIDS and infectious diseases, more older people will be dying of noninfectious diseases like cardiovascular disease, stroke, diabetes, and cancer.
An infectious disease crisis of global proportions is today threatening hard-won gains in health and life expectancy. Infectious diseases are now the world's biggest killer of children and young adults.

Never in the history of this country, have preventable diseases flourished with such wild abandon, continuously being fed by the very drugs, commercialized practices, and irritants that set them into operation in the first place.

Although the adult individual today has much less chance of dying from smallpox, cholera, or typhoid than he had 50 years ago, we surely have more prospect of being tortured by some form of cancer, afflicted with slow diseases of the kidneys, of the circulatory apparatus or the endocrine glands, and of going insane.

Modern medicine attempts to protect humanity against infections--which kill rapidly--but leaves us exposed to slower and crueler diseases. As quickly as new drugs are launched to smash humanity's most intractable infectious enemies, the forces of resistance regroup and strike back with yet another counter-offensive.
By 2030, cancer deaths will jump from 7.1 million in 2002 to 11.5 million. The number of deaths from cardiovascular disease is expected to rise from 16.7 million in 2002 to 23.3 million in 2030. Overall, they expect non-communicable diseases to account for 70 percent of all deaths globally, up from 59 percent in 2002.
Health spending went up 6.9 percent in 2005, approaching $2 trillion. That represents about one dollar out of every six dollars spent in the U.S., compared with about one dollar out of every ten dollars in the early 1980s. Private and public payers for health care, such as insurers, states, and the federal government, have said such a spending pattern cannot be sustained without harming the economy.
More than 4,000 U.S. teenagers begin smoking each day; programs to curb smoking among adolescents have thus far been largely unsuccessful. Smoking is a leading cause of preventable death. In addition to being a risk factor for heart attack and stroke and certain types of cancer, it is also the leading cause of lung cancer and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. Health experts estimate the annual global deaths associated with smoking could double to 10 million or more by 2020.
Our society gives children mixed messages about alcohol. One out of every two eighth graders has tried alcohol. The first use of alcohol typically begins at age 12. Seven in 10 young teens say that alcohol is easy to get. Almost half of youth who begin drinking before age 14 later become alcohol dependent. More than 67% of young people who start drinking before the age of 15 will try an illicit drug. Children who drink are 7.5 times more likely to use any illicit drug, more than 22 times more likely to use marijuana, and 50 times more likely to use cocaine than children who never drink.

More than 2.2 million youth in the United States aged 12 to 17 used prescription drugs for non-medical reasons in the past year to self-treat physical or mental distress, improve appearance or performance, catch an energy wave, or simply get loaded. In 2004, more than 900,000 12- to 17-year-olds had begun using prescription pain relievers non-medically within the past year. Is it any surprise that the number of teens who begin abusing painkillers has grown for 10 years in a row, rising sevenfold to 1.2 million in 2003?

When young people drink and/or take drugs and get into a car, they tend to make poor decisions that affect their safety and the safety of others. Traffic crashes are the number one killer of teens and over one-third of teen traffic deaths are alcohol-related.

The 2005 National Survey on Drug Use and Health estimates there are 11 million underage drinkers in the United States. Nearly 7.2 million are considered binge drinkers, typically meaning they drank more than five drinks on occasion. More than five million high school students binge drink at least once a month. Forty percent of US teens say they expect to use a drug in the future.
According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, about two in every five Americans will be involved in an alcohol-related crash at some point in their lives, and 41% of all traffic fatalities in the U.S. are alcohol-related.

Marijuana is the nation's most commonly used illicit drug. More than 83 million Americans or 37 percent of people age 12 and older have tried marijuana at least once. In 2001, marijuana was used by 76% of current illicit drug users. In 2001, 20% of eighth graders reported trying marijuana, and 9% were current users (defined as having used the drug in the past 30 days). Among 10th graders, 40% had tried marijuana, and almost 20% were current users in 2001. Among 12th graders, nearly half had tried marijuana, and 22% were current users in 2001. Fifty-three percent of juvenile male and 38% of juvenile female arrestees tested positive for marijuana in 1999.

The largest group of consumers of Internet pornography is youth 12-17 years of age; more than 11 million teens regularly view porn online without their parents’ knowledge... and this statistic was pulled from a Congressional report in 2004! This is only one dimension of dangerous activity in which our children may engage on-line. Federal authorities believe that at least 500,000 to 750,000 predators are ‘on-line’ on a daily basis, constantly combing through blog sites, crawling around in Internet chat rooms and on-line dating services, pretending to be someone and something they’re not.

If you think your child would not engage in such behaviors, think again. For example, 86% of the girls polled said they could chat online without their parents’ knowledge, 57% could read their parents’ e-mail, and 54% could conduct a cyber-relationship.

25 million Americans visit cyber-sex sites between 1-10 hours per week; another 4.7 million in excess of 11 hours per week. At least 200,000 Internet users are hooked on porn sites, X-rated chat rooms, or other sexual materials online. 51% of pastors say cyber-porn is a possible temptation; 37% say it is a current struggle (Christianity Today, Leadership Survey, December 2001); 4 in 10 pastors have visited a porn site.

The adult-film industry is bigger than ever, making some 6,000 movies a year and grossing more than $4 billion--roughly as much as the National Football League. All of these porn stars are someone’s little boy or girl.

The United States likely experienced its 47 millionth legal abortion at some point in 2005, more than three decades after the Supreme Court issued a decision legalizing the killing of unborn children. About half of American women have experienced an unintended pregnancy, and at current rates more than one-third will have had an abortion by age 45. Two-thirds of all U.S. abortions are among never-married women. Out-of-wedlock births in the United States have climbed to an all-time high, accounting for nearly four in 10 babies born in 2005. Globally, 46 million women have abortions each year.

To add to the mayhem, we have the money-hungry food industry creating and mass-marketing products that are not fit for human consumption. Compounding this "poison-for-profit" mentality is the fact that sloth, gluttony, and unhealthy choices are now at epidemic levels.

Dangerous concepts, ludicrous opinions, and propaganda are being instilled in the minds of our children by bad example and neglect. Many kids grow up eating fast food, junk food, processed foods, soda pop, and candy. An astounding number of today’s children are out of shape and overweight. It is very likely that almost every child in America is undernourished. More of today’s kids will die of complications from the unhealthy foods and beverages they consume than they will from tobacco, drugs, and alcohol. Behavioral problems, depression, and mental illness are significantly linked to malnutrition.

The media is overwhelming parents and children. Our government exploits the gullibility and lack of moral fiber of the average citizen; having absolute control of mass-communication media, they pound us with propaganda, bad news, opinions, and lies to keep us in a state of chronic, low-grade-emergency paranoia. This partisan media is brainwashing millions of people, keeping them naive and unaware.

And yet, many of our children tend to have huge egos with underdeveloped minds, poor manners, and their diets filled with bad food. They are victims of mass marketing and seductive subliminal messages. Their values have been deflated by voracious materialistic marketing strategies.

Whenever children see their parents or other role models living unwholesome lives, they unconsciously store up hypocritical memories that influence their outlook on life. Many of these children idolize steroid-injecting athletes or anorexic models and actors, yet are embarrassed by their parents’ physique, and they are frequently ashamed of their own bodies. About a third of American youngsters are unfit. Overweight and out of shape children are often ridiculed; being fat is not only physically unhealthy – it is also mentally and emotionally devastating. Overweight and unfit parents are more likely to produce overweight and unfit kids.

Americans are getting fatter at an alarmingly rapid rate. Americans are sacrificing their health and the health of their children for the sake of supersize portions (of junk food), biggie (toxic) drinks, and two-for-one (death-wish) value meals.

More than 65 percent of U.S. adults are either overweight or obese, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). While the number of overweight people has been slowly climbing since the 1980s, the number of obese adults has nearly doubled since then.

Excess weight and physical inactivity account for more than 300,000 premature deaths each year in the United States. People who are overweight or obese are more likely to develop heart disease, stroke, high blood pressure, diabetes, gallbladder disease, and joint pain caused by excess uric acid (gout). Excess weight can also cause interrupted breathing during sleep (sleep apnea) and wearing away of the joints (osteoarthritis). Carrying extra weight also means carrying an extra risk for cancer. Researchers have concluded that obesity increases the risk for many of the most common cancers worldwide.

Some 17 percent of U.S. youngsters are obese, and millions more are overweight. Obesity can lead to diabetes, high blood pressure and cholesterol, sleep problems, and other disorders. More than one in three low-income preschoolers is obese; overweight preschoolers have a five times higher risk of being fat at age 12 than do lean preschoolers. Twenty-three percent of American parents report having an overweight child.

Children with risk factors for heart disease, including high cholesterol and diabetes, are showing signs of narrowing and hardening of the arteries, conditions normally associated with adults. These children are now members of what is now refereed to as “Generation XL” as the current crop of teenagers is referred to because of their generally sedentary lifestyles and obese tendencies.

Is there any doubt why many of our youth struggle with depression, drug or alcohol abuse, eating disorders, anger and oppositional defiance, self mutilation, ADHD, sexual addictions, and suicidal ideation?

Education is more than the mere gaining of academic knowledge; therefore, parents, teachers, and other role models must be committed to creating an environment in which they can teach by example, rather than by lecture alone. Exemplifying the doctrine being taught will more effectively cultivate the qualities of physical health, character, integrity, responsibility, creativity, leadership, and excellence in every facet of life.

We have too many malnourished, unfit, and uneducated leaders, false prophets, and disciples in our ranks to stop the secular fundamentalism, anti-Christian bigotry, ludicrous laws, and heresy. There are too many counterfeit stakeholders in the fight, and it is impossible to make genuine progress until they are identified and educated or rooted out.

Not many people realize that we are experiencing little progress in the battle against ignorance, misinformation, and propaganda, and no progress in the improvement of the overall health of future generations.

Knowledge about prevention and mitigation of health concerns is limited. There are scores of malnourished, sick, and out-of-shape preachers, elders, doctors, health experts, fitness trainers, life coaches, and the like.

These misinformed people who preach Christian ethics in such testimonies of spiritual health and wellness rarely have anything to show at a personal level to prove the practicability of their solutions.

In the meantime, few people are taking the time to educate children about fundamental issues of health, logic, wisdom, common sense, or Christian ethics and values.

It is time that we take an honest look at the kind of enemy we are fighting. It is time we realize that misinformation, propaganda, bad food, pollution, contaminated water, and unhealthy choices are creating illness, hopelessness, quiet resignation, and despair in the lives of many of our fellow Americans.

Without freedom of speech, we will be taken away--dumb and silent--like sheep to the slaughter.

Those who rule and reign American nonprofit churches are sold-out; they willingly relinquish freedom of speech in exchange for sources of income.

In 1954, Senate Majority Leader Lyndon Johnson successfully attached a restriction on the partisan activity of non-profit groups to that year’s tax bill. Encouraged by Johnson, the U.S. Senate passed a major tax code revision by a voice vote. At the time, few people recognized the seemingly minor attachment as a major development in the American political or religious communities. Yet, the relationship between God and government had been significantly altered; power and control was given to the enemy.

In 1954 it became law that every nonprofit organization (including churches) may not engage in substantial lobbying and their leaders cannot make any statements in support of or in opposition to any particular candidate or party, or conduct any other activity designed to reflect a preference or recommendation for any political party or candidate. Nonprofit organizations cannot do anything to overtly influence the outcome of an election. Furthermore, no political fundraising is permitted; they cannot distribute partisan literature, buttons, posters, flyers, bumper stickers, or other political propaganda. It is also illegal for them to use their offices to copy literature, or use a candidate’s name to encourage people to vote. In addition, employees cannot work for candidates or political organizations while they are at work.

The penalty for crossing the threshold is severe. If a church or religious organization is deemed to have engaged in excessive lobbying activity under the substantial-part test, the IRS may revoke its exempt status. Most nonprofit organizations would be unable to survive if they lost the right to solicit tax-deductible contributions.

As it is, all of our so-called pastors, rabbis, ministers, and religious leaders and establishments are forced to silently watch candidates make a mockery of their respective doctrines or lose their sources of income. Progressive’ groups like the ACLU use Johnson’s law to blackmail our religious leaders into silence. Our panoply of religious leaders are merely moral prostitutes. The American Christian Church system can be likened to a harlot spiritually fornicating with the rulers of the world (Rev.19:1-2). This counterfeit Christianity is in the clutch of a malignant spiritual pestilence.

Since about 82% of Americans are Christian and 44% attend church each week, if this deplorable sell-out had not gagged freedom of speech, we would have been able to dominate the voting polls; we could have changed the course of humanity. Not everything would be perfect, but the world would be in better shape than it is now.

As a result of this unacceptable scenario, secular fundamentalism, anti-Christian bigotry, ludicrous laws, and heresy are rampant. America can no longer solve many of its problems because the nation has lost its moral bearings and, thus, its standards by which to measure potential solutions. The United States has become an abomination to God. This muzzle-order and its aftermath have unbridled the wrath of God.

There are those in the church--preachers, elders, and others--who know the truth on various issues, but they are afraid or inclined, for various reasons, not to teach it. They might as well hang a sign around their neck with these words, "Integrity for Sale."

Bill of Rights - Amendment I -- Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.

The American Christian Church leaders succumbed to partisan bigotry. They have willingly exchanged essential liberties for ready money. Furthermore, the disciples of these so-called leaders have bought into the fiasco and they endorse those who tickle their ears.
It is time we admit and take responsibility for our shortcomings and stand up to these megalomaniac liberals--and reinstate the first amendment. This will empower the disciples of Jesus Christ to articulate and act in ways that reflect His character. Those who are willing to sacrifice essential liberties for financial reasons—will lose both and deserve neither.

The human race cannot successfully continue on this path. However, one of the main challenges in the fight today (against the effects of pollution, mass marketing, propaganda, ignorance, and greed) is that there are scores of deceived people in our midst who are, despite their messages, actually impeding efforts on the battlefront.

Interdependent We Stand

1. As Individuals we place our relationship with God first. Our common bond has to be God.

2. We put our personal lives and ourselves second. This does not mean self-centeredness; it means that when we take care of our personal needs first, then we can better serve our fellow human beings.

3. We put our relationship with others third. When our personal lives are in order, it paves a way to do God's work more effectively and honorably.

Envision the Solution

1. As a country we place our relationship with God first.

2. We put our country and the people of the United States second. We need to unite the Christian Churches, educate our people, and take control of our government. This does not mean self-centeredness; it means that when we take care of our own country’s needs first, then we can better serve the world.

3. We put our relationship with other countries third. When our country is stable and our children are educated, safe, and secure, it paves a way to do God's work more effectively and honorably.

By spending our time, resources, and energy trying to fix the world, we have undermined the future of the world. Our country is going to hell in a handcart, and we have lost control of our own government. At this rate, the children of the United States do not stand a chance to live healthy lives, let alone help make the world a better place.

Scores of people have allowed themselves to become handicapped by ignorance, sloth, and unhealthy habits. Their bodies, minds, and spirits have been so neglected and abused they would find it hard to respond in the case of an emergency.

It is high time that we examine the quality of our Christians on the battlefront, that our efforts at coordination be directed at reforming the leadership base. Leaders can no longer be identified by just examining their management and technical capacity; it is now necessary to employ new leadership selection criteria and guidelines so that the leaders we choose practice what they preach.

With all these problems in the United States, shouldn't there be more effort be directed to eliminating problems here at home than trying to solve problems of the rest of the world?

God’s plan is to have us Fix America First, and then the new paradigm will create a strong movement for people in areas of stress due to war, hunger, or social, economic, or political upheaval and to respond to their express needs spiritually, materially, and emotionally.

Only a beachhead of cooperation can push back the undoing of Christian ethics. Let both parents and children join in creating a new endeavor--not a new balance of power, but a new society rooted and grounded in Jesus Christ, wisdom, logic, and common sense. Where the strong are truly just, disciplined, and wise—where the weak are educated and secure—and where freedom is preserved. United, there is little we cannot do in a host of cooperative ventures. Divided, there is little we can do—for we dare not meet this powerful challenge at odds and split asunder.

Let the word go forth from this time and place that the torch has to be passed to a new generation of Christian children. Born in this century, devastated by misinformation, crushed by a hard and ruthless society; stripped of their ancient heritage by megalomaniacs--but a generation of children who are now unwilling to permit the undoing of our human rights and Christian ethics.

Not all of this will be finished in our lifetime on this planet. But let us begin.

WELTANSCHAUUNG
(The overall perspective from which one sees and interprets the world.)

We stand at the precipice of an imminent disaster. Planet earth is in the throes of a major medical disaster. Most people deny, ignore, or are oblivious to the consequences of the synergistic effect of global population aging, global warming, population growth, obesity, substance abuse, sexually transmitted diseases, hepatitis, tuberculosis, malaria, antibiotic-resistant bacteria, malnutrition, pollution, and the impending shortage of skilled caregivers. Therefore, they go about their tasks and aspirations, unaware that we are being permeated and overtaken by driving forces that will cause irreversible devastation.

With global population aging alone, we will have an imminent worldwide epidemic. Global population aging will increase beyond the ability of medicine; it will bring about a shortage of trained doctors, nurses, and hospital facilities.

In the United States population aging and increasing life spans will increase health care and pension costs while reducing the relative size of the working population, straining the social contract, and leaving significant shortfalls in the size and capacity of the work force. America’s older population will be about 70 million by 2030. Obesity, heart disease, cancer, stroke, Alzheimer’s disease, and diabetes are the big debilitators. For instance, it is predicted that by the year 2025, Alzheimer’s will have crippled more than 22 million Americans. Furthermore, 40 million Americans will have developed diabetes by 2025. The effect of global population aging on the nation’s health care costs will be overwhelming.

Population growth and urbanization will compound this forthcoming dilemma; they will continue to facilitate the transfer of pathogens among people and regions; this will foster instability and will have a significant divergent impact.

Research shows that the number of overweight people around the world has climbed to 1.1 billion. Being overweight is a naturally inflammatory condition associated with cancer, diabetes, heart disease, hypertension, and memory dysfunction. Obesity contributes to many diseases including: stroke, gallbladder disease, osteoarthritis, and respiratory problems; it also raises the stress on joints, often causing injury and pain. Obesity is an epidemic that threatens global well-being.

More than 65 percent of U.S. adults are either overweight or obese. It is estimated that obesity-related diseases cost Americans nearly 100 billion dollars annually (and climbing).

As of September 2000, nearly half of all Americans suffer from at least one chronic disease. The nation is unprepared to cope with the growing burden of chronic diseases, infectious diseases, and sexually transmitted diseases.

The total economic cost of tobacco, alcohol, and other drug abuse on the U.S. economy exceeds $238 billion per year. In addition, about $140 billion dollars is spent annually treating conditions and complications related to tobacco, alcohol, and other drug abuse. Substance abuse disorders severely affect the non-abusing population as well.

An effective way to predict the future of HIV is to parallel it with genital herpes. Overall, genital herpes infections jumped 30% in the United States from 1976 to 1994, with about one in five Americans over 12 years of age having the sexually transmitted infection. The data gathered suggest that over 45 million Americans are infected with the genital herpes, high-risk behavior is prevalent, and mother-child infection is widespread. It is estimated that 75% to 90% of all Americans have some form of herpes.

There are three viruses, A, B, and C--that are responsible for the vast majority of cases of acute and chronic virus-associated hepatitis. Hepatitis viruses attack the liver and cause liver cell injury.

Hepatitis A is found in food and water. Annually about 200,000 Americans and 10 million people worldwide contract hepatitis A. What is increasing concern now is that people that are already chronically infected with hepatitis C face a high risk of dying if they contract hepatitis A. Infection with one strain of the virus offers no immunity from infection by another.

Hepatitis B is transmitted by human body fluids such as blood, seminal fluid, vaginal secretions, breast milk, tears, saliva, and open sores. Its methods of transmission include mother to baby, during sexual contact, deep kissing, and by improper injection techniques. HBV is 100 times more infectious than HIV.

More than two billion individuals alive today have been infected at some time in their lives with HBV, and approximately 450 million are chronically infected carriers of this virus. HBV is one of the most common human pathogens, and it is the most prevalent chronic virus infection worldwide. An estimated 140,000 Americans are infected each year with hepatitis B. Approximately one to one and a quarter million Americans are chronically infected and are considered carriers of the hepatitis B virus.

Carriers of HBV are at high risk of serious illness and death from cirrhosis of the liver and primary liver cancer, diseases that kill more than one million carriers per year. In addition, these carriers constitute a reservoir of infected individuals who perpetuate the infection from generation to generation. A carrier is infectious and can transmit hepatitis B even though he/she has no signs or symptoms.

As of September 2000, Hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection has reached epidemic proportions. Worldwide, more than one million new cases of infection are reported annually, and HCV is believed to be more prevalent than hepatitis B virus infection. In the United States alone, nearly five million persons are infected and 30,000 acute new infections are estimated to occur annually. Currently, HCV is responsible for an estimated 8,000 to 10,000 deaths annually in the United States, and without effective intervention, that number is predicted to triple in the next 10 to 20 years. Furthermore, HCV is the leading reason for liver transplantation in the United States and this has major implications in the present era of organ shortage.

It is estimated that globally there are over 200 million people chronically infected with hepatitis C. HCV infection is the most common type of chronic viral hepatitis in the developed world. People who are already infected with HCV can be re-infected with different sub-strains of hepatitis. Various studies project that up to 25 percent of people who now have chronic hepatitis B and C will die of cirrhosis of the liver and liver cancer over the next 20 to 30 years.

If you have a tattoo or a body piercing--shared a straw to inhale drugs or used IV drugs--been exposed to blood--had sex with anyone at risk or deeply kissed anyone who could be infected--had a blood transfusion before 1992--you should be tested for hepatitis B and C.

Sharing personal care items such as razors, toothbrushes, pierced earrings, fingernail files, and clippers can put you a risk of contracting HBV and HCV.

Tuberculosis, too, is on the upswing. According to the World Health Organization, nearly one percent of the world’s population is newly infected with TB each year. Overall, one-third of the world’s population or about 2 billion people are infected with tuberculosis. Globally, there are six to eight million cases of TB diagnosed each year and two to three million people die of TB every year. In the last 100 years, over 200 million people have died of TB.

Tuberculosis is an increasing and major worldwide problem, especially now that many immune weakening diseases and circumstances facilitate active TB. HIV/AIDS, hepatitis, diabetes, old age, homelessness, malnutrition, heavy smoking, and drug or alcohol abuse (to name but a few factors) weaken the immune system, placing people at higher risk to get active TB. TB is the leading cause of death from a single infectious agent in adults worldwide.

It is estimated that nearly one billion people will become infected with tuberculosis, 200 million will become sick, and 70 million will die worldwide between now and 2020. These figures do not take into consideration that the drugs used to fight TB are harmful to the liver, which affects millions of people who are co-infected with chronic hepatitis.

Furthermore, these figures do not reflect the onset of MDR TB (multi-drug resistant tuberculosis). MDR TB is a very dangerous form of tuberculosis. Some TB germs become resistant to the effects of the drugs used to fight TB. The effects of TB and MDR TB will be increasingly common and will intensify with the progression of the other diseases.

Left untreated, each person with active TB will infect on average between 10 and 15 people every year. The rate of TB for people with HIV in the United States is 40 times the rate for people who are not HIV-infected. TB rates all over the world are increasing because of HIV/AIDS.

Compounding this imminent medical disaster is that people with HIV/AIDS or weak immune systems are more likely to develop malaria. Annually over 500 million people (mostly children) become ill with malaria and several million die. Every 30 seconds, a child somewhere dies of malaria.

Globally, infectious diseases were considered particularly pernicious in developing nations. However, international travel and commerce are now bringing about the globalization of diseases. In addition, microbial adaptation and change (antibiotic-resistant bacteria) are becoming increasingly common. AIDS, TB, and malaria kill over 15,000 people daily.

Lower respiratory infections, especially influenza and pneumonia, killed 3.5 million people in 1998, owing to immunosuppression from malnutrition and growing microbial resistance to commonly used drugs such as penicillin. Children are especially vulnerable to such diseases and will continue to experience high death rates.

Diarrheal diseases—mainly spread by contaminated water or food—accounted for 2.2 million deaths in 1998. The most common cause of death related to diarrheal diseases is infection with E. coli. Other diarrheal diseases include cholera, dysentery, and rotaviral diarrhea, prevalent throughout the developing world and, more recently, in many former communist states. Such waterborne and food-borne diseases will remain highly prevalent in these regions in the absence of improvements in water quality and sanitation.

Topping off this disaster is that fewer young people are taking up the nursing profession in the United States. This will result in an acute shortage of registered nurses in the United States starting in 2010, when today’s nurses start to retire. There is already a shortage of qualified medical help.

These episodes illustrate the volatility of infectious disease and the predictability of disease emergence. Hospital beds will soon be overflowing with victims of the aforementioned scenarios--without skilled caregivers.

The Domino Effect

In countries across Africa, Asia, and Latin America diseases are undoing years of progress in economic and social development. Life expectancy, which has been steadily on the rise for the last three decades, will drop to 40 years and less in nine sub-Saharan countries by the year 2010.

In December 1994 the Mexican international reserves, which had stood at $29 billion, plunged to $5 billion. In an effort to stave off a collapse of the Mexican economy, the United States signed a $50 billion loan. In Mexico, the financial damage was contained. Then South Korea needed direct financial help. The Asian economic disaster was far worse than the Mexican was. Starting in Thailand in June 1997, it had spread to the Philippines, Malaysia, and Indonesia by July. Stock markets in these four nations were down an average of 65 percent; their national currencies fell. As 1997 ended, the South Korea devaluation threatened Japan, and sent Wall Street down sharply.

The future holds a far deadlier economic disaster than the Mexican and Korean devaluation. The nine sub-Saharan countries unraveling, as well as the global state of affairs, will have their own domino effect.

Super-powers are obscuring warnings about falling life expectancy, the increasing numbers of orphans, extra costs for business, medical expenses overriding their exchangeable value, and the destruction of family and community structures.

There is compelling evidence that all these events will have a profound impact on future rates of infant, child, and maternal mortality, life expectancy, and economic stability. These unprecedented impacts at the macro-level are matched by the intense burden of suffering among individuals and households. These factors are unique in their devastating effects on the social, economic, and demographic development.

Taken together, these drivers and trends intersect to create an integrated picture of the future of planet earth, about which we can make projections with varying degrees of confidence and identify cataclysmic certainties of strategic importance to the human race and the socio-cultural and socio-economic systems.

With dwindling numbers of economically active adults left to support the rest of the population, the impact on the economy will be crushing. As the global work force becomes plagued and the economy is overburdened, most high-end consumer products and services will fold and currencies will fall further as societies’ medical needs become acute. The avalanche is gathering momentum.

The way these medical and environmental problems are gaining momentum, many experts agree that if left unattended, the effect on the world’s health care costs will procure a major disaster.

There is a horrendous cover-up taking place, and its intent is to offer a solution to a crisis it helped induce. Many professional leaders, doctors, and so-called theologians are advocating immoral behavior. Many politicians are endorsing the very acts that are responsible for the dismantling and warping of God’s laws. Super-powers behind this cover-up are lying in wait—ready to proceed with their solution to this disaster: a total control, one-world government.

Super-powers are knowingly misinforming the public, diverting from and clouding vital issues. They are deliberately implementing absurd medical plans, ludicrous so-called tax reforms, relief measures, and financial schemes that are squandering the political capital and shredding the social safety net, which will in turn warrant the collapse of the economy. Furthermore, this subterfuge is a socialist conspiracy to do away with the middle class.

Another principal factor in the “War against the Free World” (the cover-up) is that this medical disaster will orphan a multitude of children. Worldwide it is estimated that over 50 million children stand to lose one or both parents to AIDS by the year 2010; 81 million children are projected to lose one or both parents to other causes, with 25 million being completely orphaned.

These factors will also contribute to a loss of skilled and talented people in this and coming generations; they will cause massive shortages of goods, services, and jobs.

We are just beginning to see the tragic results to individuals, families, cities, states, nations, and the world. Large sectors of cities will be uninhabited. At the same time, chronic housing shortages will plague other cities. The devastating times ahead will make the “great depression,” the severe U.S. economic crisis of the 1930’s, seem like easy street! Read Rev. 18:1-24.

Spiritual Degradation and Immorality

Within the book Revelation is a blueprint of what the future holds. It is intended as a spiritual warning to prevent us from following worldly ways, to reassure the afflicted, to chasten the tempted, to strengthen those who suffer persecutions and hardships. Some of the contents of this book seem bitter; there are prophecies that sound appalling and ungodly to the finite mind.

As we evaluate the current state of affairs, it is clear that much of the information in this manuscript is the plagues of God’s judgment, which incite violence and kill one third of humankind.

A major pitfall of this corrupted system is that about the same time the economy crashes the majority of humanity will be so ill and miserable (from all of the aforementioned factors) that they will wish they could die. With all of the suffering in the world they ignored, with 24,000 children dying from treatable conditions--they receive a double portion out of their own cup.

Rev. 18:1-6 AFTER THIS, I saw another angel coming down from heaven, having great authority; and the earth was made bright with his splendor. And he called out with a mighty voice, "Fallen, fallen is Babylon the great! It has become a dwelling place of demons, a haunt of every foul spirit, a haunt of every foul and hateful bird; for all nations have drunk the wine of her impure passion, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth have grown rich with the wealth of her wantonness."

Then I heard another voice from heaven saying, "Come out of her, my people, lest you share in her sins, and lest you receive of her plagues. For her sins have reached to heaven, and God has remembered her iniquities. Pay her back as she has paid others. Pay her back double for her deeds.

Most people turned their back on God through ignorance, greed, and the neglect of their fellow human beings; others turned their backs on God through a lack of integrity and character. Into their own cup, pour double what they poured.

Revelation 18:9-14 And the kings of the earth, who committed fornication and were wanton with her, will weep and wail over her when they see the smoke of her burning; they will stand far off, in fear of her torment, and say, "Alas! alas! thou great city, thou mighty city, Babylon! In one hour has thy judgment come.

And the merchants of the earth weep and mourn for her, since no one buys their cargo any more. Cargo of gold, silver, jewels, and pearls; fine linen, purple, silk, and scarlet; all kinds of scented wood, all articles of ivory; all articles of costly wood, bronze, iron, and marble; cinnamon, spice, incense, myrrh, frankincense, wine, oil, fine flour, and wheat; cattle and sheep, horses, and chariots; and slaves, that is, human souls.

The fruit for which thy soul longed has gone from thee, and all thy dainties and thy splendor are lost to thee, never to be found again!

We have slipped into complacency--we are stymied and deterred--we have stopped educating ourselves--believing in ourselves--and using our God-given talents as disciples and creators to realistically evaluate, confront, and change what is going on around us. To the wise, it is plain to see that our nation is so thoroughly corrupt that it will not be able to sustain itself much longer.

Lastly, it must be noted that I am not talking about the end of the human race, or the complete disappearance of civilized society. What I am trying to convey is that it is clear that the human race is dependent on the environment, and owing to the aforementioned data: in many parts of the world, inhuman living standards, wide-scale societal breakdown, wars, uprisings and other instances of mass chaos, political upheaval, and ultimately, famine, illness, and premature death will be increasingly common.

There are now some 6.38 billion people on the planet that, the experts tell us, can only sustain a maximum of 4 billion people. At the current trend, the world population is predicted to reach the seven billion mark in 2012; by 2050, world population is projected to reach nine billion.

It is quite possible that much of the information presented in this manuscript is some of the data behind the maniacal sociopaths (that control the world) reasoning that the earth can only survive if:

• The existing socio-cultural and socio-economic systems collapse
• The masses are virtually bankrupt
• A large number on the earth’s inhabitants are eradicated
• The masses are under the jurisdiction of a New World Order

It is probable that HIV was manufactured for and utilized by superpowers as a depopulation program and as a weapon to control the masses.

We must take care of the earth and it inhabitants or suffer the consequences. Love, wisdom, and reason are the highest standards by which everything is to be measured, determined, built, and understood.

In this world of sin and sorrow, ending soon in death and judgment, how foolish for people to glory in their knowledge, health, strength, riches, or in any thing which leaves them under the dominion of sin and the wrath of God; of which an account must hereafter be rendered; it will but increase their misery.

GöTTERDäMMERUNG
A collapse (as of a society or regime) marked by catastrophic violence and disorder.

Those who deem there is some kind of conspiracy pushing us towards a world government are often ridiculed; meanwhile society has slipped the moorings of truth and is steered by megalomaniacs that will not stop at bribery, deceit, treachery, assassination, and terror.

We are nearing the final phase of a multigenerational conspiracy designed to first degrade and then enslave humanity. The Illuminati is conspiring to destroy western civilization; they are using political freedom to attract the masses for the purpose of crushing authority; ensuring the enslavement of mankind in a United Nations’ One World Government. “The clock is ticking. We are getting to five minutes before midnight.”

We have operating within our government, a shadow government, the bureaucratic elite--also known as the Illuminati--an undisclosed group of national and international financiers and political leaders that are members of the Inner Circle of the Intrigue. These super rich conspirators are the real rulers of the world, and they issue strict orders to a network of agents and associates throughout the world.

The world’s most powerful politicians, financiers, and individuals hold these bureaucratic elite in high regard. They know how organized, how subtle, how watchful, how interlocked, how complete, and how pervasive they are; that if they want any jurisdiction within the New World Order, they must endorse and enforce their directives and never speak in condemnation of them. The Illuminati have been linking themselves with key political, occult, and religious organization leaders around the world for years.

The United Nations, Council on Foreign Relations, Group of Eight, and World Trade Organization began as advisory and monitoring bodies. The Illuminati has brought about a number of trends to convert them into a global lawmaking body. These include greater international movement of commodities, money, information, and people; and the development of technology, organizations, legal systems, and infrastructures to allow this movement. Under the guise of advancing liberty, these organizations will justify the one-world dictatorship by posing global solutions to problems they helped procure.

The Illuminati did not create all of our society’s ills or weaknesses. However, they have brought about many of the elements responsible for this disaster by power of government. For instance, they disregard God’s laws and commandments; they enact unethical laws, subscribe to unscrupulous business practices, and endorse immoral behavior. As a result of these subsequent acts, this medical, economical, and environmental disaster has been compounded exponentially. Now there are sets of drivers and trends that will create a horrendous backlash that will be accredited to absolute democracy. By attributing absolute democracy responsible for the current state of affairs, they have set in motion the basis for establishing the New World Order.

These bureaucratic elite exploit the gullibility and lack of moral fiber of the average citizen; they have absolute-control of mass-communication media; they feed the masses propaganda, bad news, opinions, and lies to keep them in a state of chronic, low-grade emergency paranoia; they also withhold vital information and there are scores of untold secrets. This partisan media is brainwashing the masses keeping them naive and unaware.

These bureaucratic elite know preciously what the future holds. They have been providing for and provoking wars, revolutions, minority-groups-strife, medical conditions, environmental damage, and the entrapment of the international money-system for generations.

We are about to be hit by an explosive and terrifying medical, environmental, economic, and social upheaval that will tear the people into hate-fractions and create chaos throughout the world. The roller coaster ride is about to rocket along faster, plunge deeper and zoom higher than anything we have known or even imagined. These strategic manipulations will bring about a formidable social cataclysm, which in all its horror will reveal to the masses the effects of absolute democracy and liberty.

A key component that they agree upon is that the world super powers cannot continue to allow people with HIV/AIDS to infect others and jeopardize the human race. They conclude that for centuries identifying the infected and preventing them from transmitting their disease to others has stopped epidemics.

In the meantime, as part of the overall plan for promoting the new global agenda, the existing socio-economic system must be overburdened and crushed to ensure that the masses will be inclined to accept the mandates of this process of transformation.

Therefore, super powers have harnessed environmental and social factors and set in motion strategies to destroy the unity of the American people and to bring the downfall of the existing socio-economic system. Then they will come to the rescue with their plan, a New World Order: a political movement that they claim will help liberate humanity towards a more secure future, which will involve the primacy of the masses over the individual, reflecting a new social awareness.

Sometime in the near future (perhaps between 2015 and 2020), the economy will be in a free fall, inflation and unemployment will skyrocket, and labor productivity will be headed to an all time low. Poverty, hunger, and disease will drive the majority of the population to seek unconventional means of subsistence.

When presented with this scenario, the masses will plead to be delivered from the effects of absolute democracy and liberty; individual rights will be willingly relinquished for the guarantee of their personal well-being granted to them by the New World Government.

For many people, individual freedom can hardly replace the steady nourishment of a daily meal and medical services. People tend to reduce in their thoughts and the comparative value of freedom when exposed for long to disease, poverty, and hunger. Thus, many people will gladly exchange personal freedom and rights for the well-being of larger society and protecting the majority of its people.

To achieve this New World Order, it is necessary to establish new guidelines for the masses as they relate to ideals about individualism, loyalty to family tradition, national patriotism, and religious dogmas.

Through the means of an exclusive ballot and a general election, the subsequent acts of the New Governance will be enacted not only by the selection of a given group of candidates, but also by specific mandates to transform the socio-economic and socio-cultural system.

To ease the initial unsettling effects of the New Governance, as well as the misery and deprivation resultant to this disaster these super powers have expressed that the sacrifice of individual freedom must be accompanied by strategic legislative acts to insure balance. Several of the measures that have been discussed to insure socio-economic and socio-cultural stability are:

• An Economic Security Council that will set monetary, price, and wage regulation
• A Cashless Economic System with Global Taxation
• Use of United Armed Services and a Police State
• International Court of Criminal Justice
• Standardized Education
• Authority over the global commons (including the oceans and all territories that influence the oceans)
• Infectious disease-related embargoes and restrictions on travel and immigration
• A full ban on all imported and exported commodities, and assistance to all countries not adhering to all New Governance regulations
• Creation of a social and medical statutory code including:
• All workers will be required to have a work permit to be employed. It will be illegal to hire anyone without work permit
• Physicians will be instructed to carry out routine and mandatory HIV testing on all patients
• Mandatory premarital, prenatal, and neonatal HIV testing
• Mandatory reporting of all HIV infected individuals to public health officials
• Quarantine all people infected with HIV
• Public restrictions on all HIV/AIDS medications
• A Public Health Surveillance System that will mandate the ongoing systematic collection, analysis, and interpretation of health data
• Vaccine Registries to tag, track, and force vaccination
• An Infectious Disease Surveillance System that will require disease confirmation, contact tracing, routine methods for reporting and feedback, and ongoing data analysis to detect and facilitate response to diseases

The Infectious Disease Surveillance System, the Public Health Surveillance System, and the Vaccine Tracking Registries plan to link together to create a De Facto National Electronic Tracking System promoting the automated exchange of records between registries.

Social security numbers or unique Health Care Identifier Numbers will be assigned to citizens and children at birth to electronically monitor where they born, where they live, all medical records. Everyone will be tracked even when moving or traveling. It will become possible to exert a practically permanent watch on each citizen of the world.

Core data is now being collected and stored in computerized registries, which includes but is not limited to a citizen’s name, address, phone number, social security number, birth date, sex, race, marital status, descendents, vaccination and medical records, primary language, patient Medicaid number, mother’s name (including maiden name) and social security number, and father’s name and social security number.

It is possible that the New Governance will be set up by way of the World Wide Web so that World Citizens can vote on limited issues concerning national security, public order, public health, statutes, etc. Regulation of local lawmaking bodies will be bypassed, and there will be severe consequences for those who do not follow the dictates of its judgments.

These super powers will use legal, financial, and other pressures to co-opt, coerce, or control religious groups to force them to conform to the new ideals. It will not endorse religious freedom and it will seek to undermine and garble Christian ethics.

These changes will be binding on all by law, international treaty, and internal regulation in compliance to the dictates of the New World Order.

This proposes a debate that echoes some of the larger conflicts between Christians protecting and claiming to protect the God-given rights of the individual and individualism, and super powers representatives arguing on behalf of the larger social good.

The debate is complicated, and seemingly valid points are made by super powers proposing authoritarian rule, but before final judgments are declared you should understand the design and identity of globalism and socialism.

We as Christians must denounce and rebuke this system; it is a drastic, draconian measure that violates in every way the God-given rights of the individual and the human race. Plagues and bloodshed are merely standing monuments to the sinfulness of sin.

Benjamin Franklin, “Those who are willing to sacrifice essential liberties for a little order, will lose both and deserve neither.”

Democracy is not a complete or absolute panacea, nor is it good in its self. Its value is instrumental and depends on the vision it serves. Liberal democracy, which as currently understood is a synonym for secular democracy and the values and the vision that it embodies and promotes will be the means of its own destruction. Liberal democracy has created a moral vacuum at the very center of civilization. The intrinsic value of secular democracy is freed dumb.

The best method of government is Christendom. In essence, Christendom is a vision of a Christian theocracy, a government devoted to the enforcement of Christian values, and whose institutions suffused with Christian doctrine. In this vision, Christ and the members of His Christian clergy wield plenty of political clout.

The sole purpose of the government should be to protect the irrefutable rights inherent to all of God’s creation. Thus, all governments and institutions that do not benefit the well-being of the planet and its inhabitants are perverted and illegitimate, including those who endorse or partake in this destroy-for-profit mentality.

Christians en masse will have few methods of recourse or redress towards resisting these initial changes. However, do not be dismayed. These so-called Super Powers have inadvertently set up His throne: Maranatha.

Revelation 12:5 -- And she brought forth a man-child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron: and her child was caught up unto God, and to His throne.

Revelation 19:10-21
And I fell at His feet to worship him. And He said unto me, See thou do it not: I am thy fellow servant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.

And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and He that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He doth judge and make war. His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on His head were many crowns; and He had a name written, that no man knew, but He himself.

And he is arrayed in a garment sprinkled with blood: and his name is called
The Word of God.

And the armies which were in heaven followed Him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean. And out of His mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it He should smite the nations: and He shall rule them with a rod of iron: and He treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.

And He hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.

And I saw an angel standing in the sun; and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the birds that fly in mid heaven, Come and be gathered together unto the great supper of God; that ye may eat the flesh of kings, and the flesh of captains, and the flesh of mighty men, and the flesh of horses and of them that sit thereon, and the flesh of all men, both free and bond, and small and great.

And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against him that sat upon the horse, and against his army.

And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought the signs in his sight, wherewith he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast and them that worshipped his image: they two were cast alive into the lake of fire that burneth with brimstone.

And the rest were killed with the sword of him that sat upon the horse, even the sword which came forth out of his mouth: and all the birds were filled with their flesh.

Jeremiah 9:13-16
And the Lord says: "Because they have forsaken my law which I set before them, and have not obeyed my voice, or walked in accord with it, but have stubbornly followed their own hearts and have gone after the Baalim ("idols; masters; false gods"), as their fathers taught them.

Therefore thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel: Behold, I will feed this people with wormwood, and give them poisonous water to drink.

I will scatter them among the nations whom neither they nor their fathers have known; and I will send the sword after them, until I have consumed them.

Revelation 9:1-6
AND THE fifth angel blew his trumpet, and I saw a star fallen from heaven to earth, and he was given the key of the shaft of the bottomless pit; he opened the shaft of the bottomless pit, and from the shaft rose smoke like the smoke of a great furnace, and the sun and the air were darkened with the smoke from the shaft.

Then from the smoke came locusts on the earth, and they were given power like the power of scorpions of the earth; they were told not to destroy the grass of the earth or any green growth or any tree; but only those of mankind who have not the seal of God upon their foreheads. They were allowed to torture them for five months, but not to kill them, and their torture was like the torture of a scorpion, when it stings a man. And in those days men will seek death and will not find it; they will long to die, and death will fly from them.

(Note: Five months describes the normal life span of one of these insects. Therefore, it is as long as they live that the modern-day locust (toxic pollution) keeps stinging the unfaithful.)

The modern-day locusts have a job to do. The true Kingdom of Good News has to be preached. Lost sheep have to be found. As these modern-day locusts go about their tasks the world is forced to sit up and take notice; that we are in the day of the Lord’s second presence.

The inhabitants of earth will have to suffer from the seemingly infinite profusion of thinking entities and matrices birthing from ignorance, disregard, and greed until the end of the age.

Bitter times are about to destroy the illusions of health, wealth, and prosperity, blotting out every achievement--shrunk as in the sickness of eclipse!

The future seems bleak. Strife and pain will profusely increase, and though the masses will be despondent, there will shine again deliverance and understanding.

One stands upon the sand of the sea, a ray of hope, the one to whom all wisdom is granted, with the full quiver of reason at His side, the eternal Son.

At His voice comes life and death--hope and despair; expectation from His own experience, cultivated, rather than corrected by the trials of life—yet all the while, disappointment at the failure of response.

This hapless quandary calls for astute discernment on His part and a mental refractiveness to unveil its covenants of cruelty and ruin, false promises, false memories, and false sources.

He will pinpoint and utilize every weakness to His advantage, to free the human mind and spirit from bondage, replacing in its stead upon the sick and dying, the true meaning of life and death.

We must prepare for some very hard years on a planetary scale.

Spiritual evolution must always precede technological evolution.

A Little about My Spiritual Experience

All of my work is a direct result of a spiritual experience that gave my life new direction and purpose. It reminded me of the spiritual experience Saul had on the road to Damascus; it has had similar results.

April 1, 1988, I had just got into bed (at the recovery home where I was living). I had been sober over three months. No one else in the room heard anything, nor did they awake.

A vision was revealed to me telepathically (I could see it with my eyes closed), in which this message was communicated:

“We are glad you made it.”

Then, starting at my childhood, many situations in my life were played back in my mind. The situations in which God intervened were emphasized, revealing God’s steadfast presence and how He had interceded in my life. It impressed upon me that every experience was whole, complete, and of unique value. It painted a picture in my mind of what I was to do. I was in shock to some degree. I can barely estimate how far into the night these revelations kept occurring (I am sure it was over four hours.) At the end of this experience, an extreme energy of some kind rushed through me for an extended period; it cleansed my body and restored my health.

My mind was opened to the glorious reality behind this world of seeming. I was given a Divine view of the past. God appointed me to know His will and be a witness for Him.

Consider these facts: in March of 1988, five months prior to this experience I had entered a substance abuse treatment facility. I was consumed in a delusion of darkness: an addict, dependent on drugs and alcohol for over 16 years. I had become so ill from consuming drugs and alcohol over the years that I had to be hospitalized over 30 times. I weighed less than 115 pounds. I was repeatedly informed by numerous doctors over a five-year period that I would “not live another six months.”

God initiated a different plan. Through my afflictions and my recovery, I have become empathic and filled with compassion. I realize all experiences are inter-connected and interactive. There is no absolute separation from God in this realm of existence. Even in my most pathetic state, our Creator’s perfect Love encompassed me.

When I think about the incident that took place on July 3, 1988, it impresses me that the first day of my rebirth is the 4th of July.
Since this experience, I have been inspired to write. I have written nine books.

• Principles of the Spirit -- A Practical Application of Spiritual Truth
• Finding Christ Within -- A 12-Step Program for Adolescents
• Finding Ourselves Within -- A 12-Step Program for Everyone that Leads to a Personal Relationship with Jesus Christ
• HIV Anonymous Positive Attitudes
• Hepatitis C Anonymous Positive Attitudes
• HPV Anonymous Positive Attitudes
• The Hunt – Superfoods pH Balancing & Concepts for Health
• The Yielding of Hope - Thoughts on the Forfeit of the American Dream
• The Rise & Fall and the Resurrection -- My Autobiography

Inspiration can be said to be a direct, divine influence on the mind and can affect the will and executive faculties of the human writer. It is a passageway through which ideas can emerge; the writer often subconsciously composes according to what God intends him to write. However, the inspiration for my writing is communicated to me in an imperfect way. Not every phrase carries the divine signature. My style, diction, mental outlook, and humanness naturally remain in the work.

I am also the founder and president of three 501(c)(3) public charities.
Glenhaven Sober Living Homes, Inc. in San Clemente, Ca. was established in 1992. Right this minute the staff at Glenhaven is fulfilling the challenging task of reaching out to men and women with drug and alcohol addictions. Glenhaven has brought in over five thousand troubled men and women. We have one of the only facilities in South Orange County (not funded by the state) that takes individuals with little or no money, which has made a sober living environment available for many who otherwise would not have had a chance.

I am the president and founder of HIV Anonymous, Inc. HIVA is a global network that offers unbiased support to people infected with, affected by, or at risk for HIV/AIDS.

HIVA is a 12 Step support program similar to Alcoholics Anonymous. We provide free literature and meeting starter packs to individuals and groups that are interested in starting an HIV Anonymous meeting. We also provide our 12 Step workbook HIV Anonymous Positive Attitudes at no cost. The manuscript is 206 pages and it has over 300 detailed writing exercises.
We recently had the manuscript translated into Swahili. We have requests for the manuscript in other languages as well. We have a number of groups in the United States as well as groups in Africa, Nepal, Romania, Russia, Brazil, India, and Malaysia.

HIV Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women who are committed to a way of life that will help fight the spread of HIV. We believe that HIV Anonymous is the most cost effective tool we have in fighting the HIV/AIDS pandemic. The HIV Anonymous website is http://www.hivanonymous.com.

I am the president and founder of Hepatitis C Anonymous, Inc. HCVA is designed to bring HCV patients, family members, friends, and health care professionals together to help provide support to everyone affected by HCV.

We give out free meeting starter packs and Hepatitis C Anonymous Positive Attitudes workbooks. We have a number of groups around the United States.. We have an online fellowship that helps people from all walks of life from all over the world; we have had over a million hits in the last nine months. The Hepatitis C Anonymous website is http://www.hcvanonymous.com.

I am also the founder of HPV Anonymous (Human Papillomavirus Anonymous). http://www.hpvanonymous.com.

My passion is YSCA (Young Skaters Christian Association). YSCA is a governing body exclusively for Christian skateboarding and inline skating.

I am a former three-time national snowboarding champion. I competed in United States of America Snowboarding Association (USASA) for eight years. I saw the positive effects USASA was having on my life and all the friends I was making. I watched the way kids and parents of all ages were acting like one big family. I was thirty-six years old when I started competing, however, I was just as important as the best adolescent rider we had. If I won my division, it helped our team to place higher or win the overall national title. I watched the way everything ran and the vision for YSCA was inspired.

Boys, girls, men, and women of all ages will compete in age groups, as YSCA church teams against other YSCA church teams, in county competitions. Top riders from each age group will form a county regional team and the first place church team from each county will qualify to compete in the annual state championships. Top riders from each age division at state competitions will form a state team. The state team and each state’s first place church team qualify for the national championships.

YSCA will help each church design a portable skatepark for use in their parking lot. We will help the church build or buy ramps and rails, and get a storage container (if needed) to lock up the ramps and rails when not in use. We also have standardized guidelines for insurance, liability wavers, ramp materials, safety factors, experience levels, streets courses, half pipes, rules, etc. We foresee YSCA merging with different sponsors and existing organizations to build both permanent and portable skateparks.
The events are intended to promote the sport of skateboarding, inline skating, and BMX biking, to be fun for competitors of all ages and abilities, to develop athletic skills, and to be the qualifiers for state and national competitions.

We perceive much more than that. We would like to see team coaches, camera crews, sports motivators, clothing, and accessories. We anticipate a YSCA magazine so that young skaters can read a sound publication to further their education, which will be a healthy replacement for the skate trash that is having a negative influence on our youth.

We are focused on skate facilities that are geared for young local kids who have a hard time getting to unsupervised public skateparks. Furthermore, unsupervised public skateparks are often filled with a hard-core group of hope-to-die hoodlums. It is detrimental to the development of our youth to leave them to their own devices, let alone surround them with unhealthy peer pressure.

The heart and soul of YSCA is to provide guidelines to build and run supervised skate parks and host a number of youth-related activities. We need adults and responsible adolescents to supervise our skateparks; this will help provide an environment that is conducive to the spiritual development of our youth.

We would like to see these portable skate parks available as weather permits year round; we see them as an integral part of the youth centers we are establishing. We will encourage these youth centers to host a Friday or Saturday night skate jam, followed by an adolescent-run peer group support meeting, followed by another skate session with the option to skate or watch a surf, skate, snowboard, or other activity-related video. We can host dances, have concerts and a variety of contests, as well as invite professional Christian athletes to speak, etc.

The main contest circuit will be held from June thru September. Local contests will be held on Sundays after church, when parents and kids will return to the church in the early afternoon ready to compete. Moreover, the recreation and fun of this rapidly growing sport combined with Christian camaraderie will flourish. Visit our website http://www.ysca.com.

As unfortunate as it sounds, many times churches who try to start this type of ministry never get it off the ground. That is why YSCA wants to help you build a successful youth ministry not only for your church members, but a way to reach local kids that do not make it to church, kids that are left to their own devices, kids that have too much time on their hands, kids who need Christian friends and supervision. If these kids make one tenth of the mistakes you and I made to get to this point -- they could contract HIV.

I am also the owner of GC Life Center 4 Health. GC 4 Health is a Health and Wellness Spa in Laguna Woods. http://www.gc4health.com

I have invented an innovative water machine and an unparalleled nutritional and purification program. This product is currently being designed and built in China, for distribution worldwide.

I have also laid out a concept for a movie:

The 3-D Presentation of the Resurrection of Jesus Christ

We start out with an aerial view of old Jerusalem.

The camera pans into an overview of the gravesite. The scene depicts that the greatest care had been taken to guard the Savior’s tomb, and the entrance had been closed with a great stone. Upon this stone, the Roman seal had been placed in such a way that the stone could not be moved without breaking the seal.

Around the tomb is the guard of Roman soldiers. They are keeping a strict watch, that the body of Jesus might not be disturbed. Some of them are constantly pacing to and fro before the tomb, while the others rest on the ground near by.

The night preceding the morning of the first day of the week has worn slowly away, and the darkest hour, just before daybreak, has come. A powerful angel appears from Heaven (in 3-D). His countenance is illuminated, and his garments white as snow. The darkness parts before Him, and the whole heavens are lighted with his glory.

The sleeping soldiers awake, and start to their feet, then all of the soldiers look up at the open heavens with awe and wonder, and at the vision of brightness that is nearing them. Soldiers, officers, and sentinels guarding the tomb fall as dead men to the ground.

Mary Magdalene and Mary the mother of James, and Salome are returning to the tomb with spices and ointments they have prepared, so that they might go and anoint him. They are saying to one another, "Who will roll away the stone for us from the door of the tomb?"

As they near the garden, they are surprised to see the heavens beautifully lighted up, and the earth begins to tremble beneath their feet. As they continue to walk towards the tomb there is a great earthquake (the earth trembles and heaves in 3-D - rocks falling towards the audience) -- as the earthquake subsides they are all fearing for their lives and take shelter by a huge bolder, except Mary Magdalene who continues running to the tomb.

The angel who has descended from heaven (in 3-D) lays hold of the great stone and rolls it back from the opening. The stone appears to be rolling directly at the audience in 3-D. As the stone stops in the angel sits upon it (angel in 3-D).

You know the rest…

You will know my disciples by the fruit they bear.
